The globally famous Dubai World Cup kicks off on Saturday 29th March 2008, at the magnificent Nad Al Sheba Racecourse. With state-of-the-art facilities including television monitors in all areas, rest assured you won't miss any of the action.

This is the perfect excuse for a trip to Dubai. And March typically serves up glorious temperatures, around 24°C, so your glowing tan will be the envy of everyone back home. And if you're looking for more, then Dubai won't disappoint you. This incredible modern metropolis rises out of the Arabian Desert in a silhouette of sky-scrapers and shopping malls. Cutting-edge design is the name of the game here - just look at the famous Burj al Arab, Dubai's flagship luxury hotel. And there's plenty more where that came from. So what are you waiting for?

2008 is the 13th running of the Dubai World Cup. And with millions of pounds worth of prizes to be won, on 29th March Dubai is most definitely the place to be. The top race of the day is run over a distance of a mile-and-a-quarter, and offers an amazing $6 million prize fund. It's supported by several other races, each with their own jaw-droppingly hefty prize purse. The chief supporting races are the Dubai Sheema Classic and the Dubai Duty Free, each worth $5 million.

So in short, expect to see plenty of money exchanging hands. Not to mention designer labels galore. Exquisitely dressed race-goers. Sunlight glinting off elegant champagne glasses. And a few famous faces to boot. Picture all this with the thrilling atmosphere of a day at the races, and you're halfway there.

Away from the race crowds, you'll find plenty to do besides. The city of Dubai is famous for it's shopping malls, so if you need to find something glam for the races you're in good hands here. If sun and sand is more your thing, then head for Jumeirah Beach. Spread your towel on this gorgeous stretch of pearly-white sand, or dip your toes in it's warm turquoise waters. Some of the world's flashiest hotels are found here, and the star of the show has got to be the Burj Al Arab. You probably know it - it’s been designed to resemble an enormous billowing sail, and as the world's only seven star hotel it's no stranger to publicity.

Once the sun goes down Dubai's nightlife hots up. It's a huge city with plenty to suit all tastes, whather you're looking for a quiet bite or an all-night party. Choose from cutting-edge restaurants. Swish bars. And en vogue nightclubs that throb to the latest beats.
This a must-see city whose finger is most definitely on the pulse. So don't miss this fabulous opportunity to experience it for yourself...
