You can browse or search through our auction categories and listings on Thomson Auctions, even if you haven’t registered. If you see something you would like to bid on you must first register. Registration is free and can be done online. To register, visit Thomson Auctions and click Sign Up ( at the top of the page). You will be required to choose a ‘log-in name’ and password (this is your choice), which you will use every time you sign in. You will then be asked to type in details including your email address, address and contact telephone numbers. These are important, as we will need to contact you if you bid on/win an auction. Please type these details accurately, as mistakes could prevent us from contacting you quickly. Once you have entered all of your information, please click the ‘Submit Thomson Auctions Registration’ button at the bottom of the page. You will then receive an email to confirm your registration. Please allow at least 24 hours to receive your confirmation email. If after 24 hours you still have not received your confirmation email, please return to Thomson Auctions, logon to your account, and verify that you have entered your e-mail address correctly. If not, please make any necessary amendments. If your details are correct, please make sure you did not enter a work e-mail address instead of your home e-mail address, or vice versa. If you still did not receive this e-mail or need us to resend it, please contact Customer Services.
No. You are not obligated to buy anything on Thomson Auctions by registering.
Yes. You are expected to maintain a valid account by keeping your contact information (e-mail address, mailing address, and phone number) up to date. This is a vital aspect of creating an honest and secure trading environment for you. Please review your contact information and if it changes, simply update it from My Account.
You must keep clicking on the refresh button on your toolbar. This updates the information on the page as it cannot update automatically.
Someone has placed a proxy bid and their proxy bid amount is the same as your bid. A proxy bid is where you enter the maximum you are prepared to pay for the holiday and the system puts you in at the lowest price possible, then bids for you automatically until it reaches this maximum. If this maximum is equal to another bid, the person who placed that bid first will go at the top of the bid history and therefore be winning the holiday.
Passenger details are taken at the time of booking with the sales team. You do not have to travel yourself. However you are committed to buy the holiday and if the passengers you have won the holiday for cannot travel you will still have to pay for the holiday. If you are bidding for someone else at least one member of the travelling party must be over 18 years old. When booking on behalf on someone else, please ensure that you have the following details to hand: passenger names and dates of birth, full insurance details and payment details. Also ask your friends in advance if they wish to take resort transfers and in flight meals.
No, unfortunately no amendments can be made.
