Health advice relating to individual countries is available from the Foreign and Commonwealth office website. We also recommend you contact your doctor or health centre for advice before you travel. Some vaccinations require a course of injections, so allow enough time to complete the course when specifying departure dates.
From 1st January 2006, you now need a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) to receive healthcare during your visit to an EEA country or Switzerland. The EHIC replaces the old E111 - as from 1st January 2006, E111 forms are no longer valid. For further information about the EHIC, please visit the Foreign and Commonwealth office website.
