Flights - Tickets and Changes

Will I get a ticket for my flight only booking?

No. Flight-only bookings made online with Thomson Airways are ticketless. Therefore you need only bring your booking confirmation number and flight details, which were sent to you when your booking was confirmed. This will be sent to the email address you entered for your booking, or the postal address.


How do I make changes to, or cancel, my flight only booking?


You can make amendments to your Thomson Airways flight by calling us on 0203 451 2695 - please have your booking reference number to hand.

Any changes you need to make are subject to amendment fees - please see your booking conditions for details. Please note that you will be required to pay the difference if there is any increase in fare, and some flights will incur cancellation charges.

Just so you know, our contact centre isn't open 24 hours a day and there may be long waiting times at peak periods - so please leave plenty of time for changes to be made.

Cancellations can't be made online - please contact our call centre on 0203 451 2695. As stated in our terms and conditions, Thomson Airways are a non-refundable airline.

Please note – if you have booked a flight only, we are not able to amend a flight after the original flight has departed.


What happens with my baggage if I have a connecting flight?

When you have a connecting flight you can't have your baggage checked through automatically to your final destination. You will need to collect your baggage and check it in again in good time. You should plan your journey carefully, allowing for the time required to check-in your baggage – we would recommend allowing at least 2 hours. We can't be responsible if you are unable to make your connecting flight.


I have booked a flight but I cannot travel due to medical reasons. Will I lose my money?

If you have arranged your travel insurance with Thomson, it may cover you if you were unaware of your condition at the time you booked your flight. However, if you confirmed your flight knowing there was a possibility you may need to cancel, the insurance will not cover you in the event of a claim. Cancellation charges as stated in the terms and conditions of your flight will also apply. If you have not arranged travel insurance with us, please contact your insurance provider.


What happens if I am refused embarkation?

We will not permit any person to enter, or be in, an aircraft when we have reasonable grounds to suspect such person of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs to the extent that the safety of the aircraft and its occupants is likely to be endangered.

We will not permit any person to act recklessly or negligently so as to endanger an aircraft or it’s occupants.

We will support the decision of our staff and/or our authorised agents to refuse embarkation to any passengers acting in one of the above conditions.

How will you notify me if my travel details change?

Flight details are subject to change without notice, and Thomson Airways will endeavour to contact you if such changes occur. Please ensure that all contact details given to Thomson Airways are correct, in order for us to contact you if necessary. Please also check that all other details are correct as soon as you receive your confirmation - particularly that the name on your confirmation email or ticket is correct, and matches the name on your passport or photo ID.


What do I do if the details on my tickets are incorrect?

In the case of confirmation errors on a flight only please contact our Thomson Airways call centre on 0203 451 2695, or 0203 451 2725 for package holidays, as soon as possible.


I have just married and changed my name. Will I need to amend my flight-only booking details?

If you have booked a flight with Thomson Airways and you have just married and changed your name, please show your marriage certificate at the check-in desk as proof of your identity. There is no additional charge in this case.
