Flights FAQs - Pets

Can I take my pet with me?

Yes - We do carry pets on most of our flights, for information or to arrange for the carriage of your pets please contact our Cargo department on 0203 4327828, or email: pets@aiacargo.com and one of our experienced consultants will be happy to assist you further.

Do I need any documentation?

If travelling within Europe, an EU Pet Passport is all that is required, if travelling outside of Europe you should contact the Embassy of the country of destination.

Can my pet travel on the same flight as me?

Yes in most cases.

Can my pet travel in the Cabin with me?

Your pet must travel in the Cargo hold below the passenger cabin, which is temperature and pressure controlled.

Will my pet be sedated?

No we do not permit sedation as adverse reactions can take place that can have detrimental effects to the animal’s health.

Will my pet be fed during the flight?

We recommend you feed your pet a small meal no more than 5 hours before departure time, as it is better that your pet travels on an empty stomach.

All travel boxes should be fitted with water containers which will be refilled on departure.
