Cancelling your holiday

How can I cancel my Thomson holiday?

**You can cancel your holiday online using our Manage My Booking service if you made your booking online at thomson.co.uk**

You can't use Manage My Booking for the following holiday types. Instead, please contact us using the details listed below:

  • Holidays booked in a Thomson travel shop: Please contact the shop you booked with. Find your local Thomson shop
  • Holidays booked with Thomson Contact Centre: Please call 0844 871 0878 (calls cost 5p per minute plus network extras)*
  • Cruise holidays: Please call 0871 230 2800 (calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras)
  • Twin centre holidays: Please call 0844 871 8149 (calls cost 5p per minute plus network extras)
  • Ski & Snowboarding holidays: Please call 0871 971 0578 (calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras)
  • Lakes & Mountains holidays: Please call 0871 971 0577 (calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras)

Bookings with third party travel agents: If you booked your Thomson holiday through a different travel agent you must contact the agency you booked with to cancel or amend your booking.

Cancellation charges: Tour operator cancellation charges will apply and are normally calculated on a sliding scale, displayed in our Booking Terms and Conditions, with the charge increasing the closer you are to your departure date. A cancellation invoice for insurance purposes will automatically be sent once the cancellation has been processed. If you send any cancellation notices by email, we cannot be held liable for non-receipt of email cancellations, which we have not received.

Cancellation charges are based on how many days before your booked departure we receive your cancellation notice, and reflect a percentage of the total cost of your booking, not including your insurance premium. If you arranged insurance with another provider, please refer to your insurance provider for details of your cover.

 

*If you made your booking through our Contact Centre, please call us to cancel your holiday. You don't need to put this in writing.

I need to cancel my holiday as I can't travel due to medical reasons. Will I lose my money?

If you have arranged your travel insurance with Thomson Insurance, it may cover you if you were unaware of your condition at the time you booked your holiday. However, if you confirmed your holiday knowing there was a possibility you may need to cancel, the insurance will not cover you in the event of a claim. Cancellation charges as per the Terms and Conditions of your holiday will also apply. If you have not arranged travel insurance with Thomson, please contact your insurance provider.
