We’ve added a whole bunch of exciting activities to 6 of our FamilyClubs for 2008. Here’s what you can look forward to…

New for 2008 - Babyzone

When you’re holidaying with a young baby, it can sometimes be a challenge finding somewhere for feeding and the like, without having to keep nipping back to your room. That’s why we created Babyzone, a serene sanctuary where parents can feed, change and play with their baby. With all the equipment supplied by Mothercare and Hasbro, they’re close to the heart of the hotel’s action, but free from all the hustle and bustle.

New for 2008 - Stage Academy

Thomson have teamed up with top UK theatre school ‘Razzamataz’ - as seen on the BBC’s Dragon’s Den! Budding performers from the ages of 5 to 16 can take the centre stage with singing, dancing and acting lessons. Running from 21st July to 31st August, lessons are held over a 3 day period and cost £20 per person for three 2-hour sessions. And at the end of each week academy students will get to tread the boards and perform to guests on the main hotel stage.

New for 2008 - Kids Entertainer

Kids will be in heaps of laughter with their very own entertainer on hand. For a start, they’ll be able to sign up for special workshops where they can clown around learning loads of circus skills. And when they’d rather just watch, they can catch laugh-a-minute puppet shows, balloon modelling and magic shows to name but a few. Catch the fun and games in 2008 from May 19th to the 25th over the bank holiday. During the summer holidays from the 21st July to 31st August. And also at October half term from the 20th to the 26th of October.

Reebok Football Academy (5-16yrs)

Whether you’ve got a budding Beckham, a goal-scoring Gerrard or an eager Owen on your hands, they’re going to love every minute at the Reebok Academy. Open to boys and girls aged 5 to 16, these sessions are led by F.A. fully qualified coaches from Reebok. Sessions run from the 21st July to the 1st September and can be pre-booked at a cost of £25 for two 90 minute sessions. Every participant will receive an achievement award and a special player pack including Reebok T-shirt and a water bottle.

VIP FamilyClub

Join Thomson the Dog’s VIP gang and become a very important guest on your FamilyClub Xtra holiday. Thomson the Dog will personally visit you in your themed room, which includes activity packs, DVD players and access to a film library. You’ll bag front row seats for the kids at Thomson the Dog’s story time and they’ll get free membership to his fan club. And there’s more. Families will also get an exclusive invite to the FamilyClub Xtra VIP party! All this costs just £30 per booking per week of your stay and £50 in July and August.

Creche

Open 6 days per week, and run by CACHE Level 3 qualified staff, our crèche facilities offer 3 sessions per day for you to drop off your toddlers for a few 'time out' hours.

Open 6 days per week
We offer 3, 2 hour sessions per day (on 3 of those days the 3rd session of the day is in the evening and will last for 3 hours)
All our creche facilities are run by NNEB (or equivalent) qualified staff
There are always a minimum of 2 creche staff in attendance, which ensures the practice of high staff to child ratios
All our policies and procedures adhere to UK legislation
Customers can take a mobile phone on loan during the session
The room meets high specification and includes:

Equipment provided by Mothercare, Hasbro, Walker Books and other leading UK pre school and baby suppliers.

The Oasis Papagayo Apartments are a great family choice, giving you the best of both worlds simply because there is so much to be getting on with here. The spacious Oasis Papagayo has a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, with big garden areas around the buildings which are superb for young families. With such great facilities and the FamilyClub Xtra entertainment programme, you might not want to leave the complex, though you could treat the kids to a great day out by taking them to the famous sand dunes of Corralejo, which are just 3 kilometres away.

The Hotel Orquidea is a great family choice, set in extensive, palm tree-filled gardens that run down to the beach. The hotel offers all sorts of sports and loads of entertainment that's tailor-made for families, from pool games to five-a-side football to professional shows and discos.
