Most definitely a slice of the all-American apple pie, International Drive is buzzing and slap bang at the heart of some of Orlando’s top attractions. We’re talking Universal Studios Florida®, Wet 'n Wild® Orlando, SeaWorld® Orlando, Discovery Cove® and Universal's Islands of Adventure® and that’s only some of them. Give the Wonder Works and Ripley's Believe It Or Not parks a go while you’re here too. And if you exhaust this lot, the other ‘big ones’ like Walt Disney World Resort are just a few minutes away. Known locally as I-Drive, this place is a haven for shoppers. From designer boutiques to discount outlet malls where you can always bag a bargain - this is a real shop ‘til you drop experience. You’ll also find a world of cuisine here from western-style fare from America and the Med, to Japanese dishes from the Far East. Your only problem will be making your mind up. Perhaps you’ll take some time out and slip off for a round of golf at one of the area’s courses or tryout the World Bowling Centre for size. I have been to Florida many times in the past and stayed in budget accommodation, as I would be out and about all day visiting the parks in the area. As a special treat I booked the Hard Rock Hotel and can honestly say it was even better than it looked... more on this review
