With a giant sphinx and two-storey-tall Pharaoh statues, the Luxor brings a taste of ancient Egypt to Vegas.
This pyramid-shaped hotel sits at the southern end of the strip, half-an-hour’s walk from the centre. There’s a free tram connecting it to Excalibur and Mandalay Bay. And after dark, you can use its iconic sky beam to guide you home.
Inside, you’ll see the designers really run with the theme. Rooms have hieroglyphics-adorned décor and Egyptian artwork on the walls. Walk around and you’ll find even more touches, like indoor palms and sculptures.

OK hotel, room warm even with air con on full
Not as grand as I expected, long queues at check in, mentioned we were on honeymoon, no comment, felt like just a process. Bodies, Blue Man Group and Kriss Angel shows in Hotel all very good. Buffet expensive especially breakfast at $17.95 a head. Smoking allowed on Casino floor which seems to spread to other areas. If you are only there for 3 days its OKMore
Great Staff - Great Stay
I was in Vegas for a Hotel Conference and my stay at this property was excellent ! Clean Room and very friendly staff throughout the facility. It is to bad all the Hotel's are so smoked filled, hard to walk through and breath - Nature of Vegas I guess.More
The Luxor Hotel was very nice, It is directly at the end of the strip. It has a huge casino, a restaurant, a wedding chapel and a club. The room was very clean, we had a huge bathroom and two king size bed. It is not the newest Hotel but for that price you get a lot.More
Viva Las Vegas xxx
on arriving in Vegas we got a taxi from the airport as the strip is just down the road unfortunately taxi drivers there are taking advantage of tourists and taking them around the highway which is totally unnecessary it doubled the price as their meters run by distance so beware of this it should cost app 15 dollars also a lot of uber drivers are also taxi drivers and are bringing their bad habits with them. The hotel was a little bit dated but the standard room was big but complimentary kettle and tea & coffee would of been good luckily i took my own.Drinks are very expensive I would suggest sourcing them elsewhere. Michael Jackson circ de soleil at the Mandalay Bay was absolutely fantastic would definatley recommend it AWESOME! Took a trip with Hollywood VIP Tourz Mike our driver was great we were picked up at The Luxor at 4.30am on time he took us to Santa Monica beach and Hollywood strip and the celebrity houses and Walt Disney studios. We were provided with food and water. We went to see the show Magic Mike I had paid for VIP seating with the company on tripadvisor I was very disappointed when I was shown to seats in the balcony and I had pointed out at the box office that I had paid for VIP seating, the show was ok. We also went to see Thunder Down Under at Excaliber this show was very amateur and I wouldn't recommend you waste your money. The Las Vegas strip is very long 4.2 miles so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. The North shopping mall is better than the South and Fremont Street at night is not to be missed we had a meal st Le Thai food was great and reasonable. Would love to go back and would stay in the Mirage next time as its more in the middle of the strip.More

Reserved a room in pyramid - got a renovated "Cleo" room. Honestly not much different from non-renovated! New carpet, wallpaper, etc & upgraded bathroom. Still I like the pyramid rooms as the elevators are easy to access without walking far from casino. Room was quiet except for some guests who kept running up & down the hall on our last night. Michelle at front desk checked us in and was very accommodating when I asked for the pyramid room, higher floor & not too far from elevator.More
