With a giant sphinx and two-storey-tall Pharaoh statues, the Luxor brings a taste of ancient Egypt to Vegas.
This pyramid-shaped hotel sits at the southern end of the strip, half-an-hour’s walk from the centre. There’s a free tram connecting it to Excalibur and Mandalay Bay. And after dark, you can use its iconic sky beam to guide you home.
Inside, you’ll see the designers really run with the theme. Rooms have hieroglyphics-adorned décor and Egyptian artwork on the walls. Walk around and you’ll find even more touches, like indoor palms and sculptures.

I attend a convention each year at the Mandalay Bay and can't justify the prices they charge, so I always stay at the Luxor, which is reasonably priced in comparison. I also enjoy the walk between hotels to and from the convention each day. There is a monorail between hotels for those that are too lazy to walk! The chinese restaurant in the hotel offers an excellent meal.More

Best trip to America yet
Had a great time Vegas is a must and this Casino was one of the best we visited. From the stunning architecture which you can't miss in and outside to all the amenities it was fantastic. 14 of us stayed and we all agreed the rooms were a great size, had everything we needed and if they didn't you just had to ask. Clean and great food available. Spot on returning this year 2017More
Last minute holiday
This is an amazing hotel once you arrive ask to be upgraded to a suite we did and they comp us 5 days and paid for 2 costing just $99 the room was amazing with a big bath that could fit 5 people in also had a sitting room. Pool was great and the food bar to was very good including price. Will be a hotel to go back to being on the strip but not costing as much as some others that are in the centre.More
Walked into the new world of Vegas parking fees> no explanation from valet staff they were very busy! Strike two loaded a baggage cart to take stuff to check in that was a No-No. Told that carts were for bell staff only by an over zealous rent a cop, really where are they? Tried to explain to valet and security my wife is handicapped, didn't seem to matter, very insensitive. Stopped at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi on the way home from Florida last April. Being an M Rewards Life member they send us Vegas offers since then so thought we would take advantage of buy one get one free night and it was a good offer saved us a hundred bucks but after the hassle and the nickel and diming was it really a deal? Me and my wife decided we would not go back to the Luxor as it is just and average Vegas stop; however not all is lost as we are staying at the Excalibur in May 2 free nights, better deal yes? Now for the stay, the room was fine no problems at all. The pool area was probably the best ammenity, good service and very spacious grounds, cabana rental and jaccuzi. As far as the casino floor was bright, decent drink service and a good variety of games. Table games area was ok but the minimums were a little too high for me unless you played in the morning. All the show venues and shops and some restaurants were up the escalators. We checked it out but really didn't see anything we wanted, we also had a show offer that we did not use. We went to Ellis Island both days for dinner, Back to the parking 8$ a day self park 13$ valet which no one explained until the second day. Had to get a new parking garage pass every day at the front desk they wouldn't work new deal charging for parking I guess. I did not like the fee and voiced my opinion each day I had to get a garage pass. Did manage a 3pm checkout out of front desk but that was it!More
We stayed at the Luxor Hotel. A friend of mine and I had stayed there eight years ago. The hotel was just as nice as I remembered it to be. The bathrooms are a bit dated in comparison to newer hotels. However, the Luxor is still a great hotel to base your visit from. One of the best things I noticed about the Luxor is the smell. This hotel has a pleasantLy fresh smell. I am sensitive to odors. I always enjoyed returning to our hotel because of its cleanliness, the service personnel, the amenities, restaurants, and smell. The casino area was a perfect distance from other areas that it didn't distract or interfere with other activities people were involved in who may not have been interested in the slot machines. I loved finding Starbucks everywhere and the variety and availability of food and shops even late evenings was a bonus. I would absolutely stay at the Luxor again on my next visit. More
