With a giant sphinx and two-storey-tall Pharaoh statues, the Luxor brings a taste of ancient Egypt to Vegas.
This pyramid-shaped hotel sits at the southern end of the strip, half-an-hour’s walk from the centre. There’s a free tram connecting it to Excalibur and Mandalay Bay. And after dark, you can use its iconic sky beam to guide you home.
Inside, you’ll see the designers really run with the theme. Rooms have hieroglyphics-adorned décor and Egyptian artwork on the walls. Walk around and you’ll find even more touches, like indoor palms and sculptures.

Will never stay at the Luxor again. Noticed 1 inch thick dust on filters near elevators. Our room smelled like old smoke. We went 4th of July, temps were over 105 and they had pools closed, due to not enough staffing. More

Rooms need an update badly.
While the hotel is not in all that bad a shape, the rooms are in desperate need of a renovation. The bathrooms are probably still original from when the place was built. A 40 minute check-in line at 10:00pm was not the best first impression either.More

My friends and I just got back from a stay at the Luxor. We decided to stay here mainly because of the price and the shuttle during EDC weekend. My boyfriend and I were in a Tower King - the room was all that we asked for. Thankfully our AC unit was working. Our friends were staying in a Pyramid room and struggled to keep their room cool. We loved the pool area - especially the parts of the pool that are shallow enough to sit in. Love the Chicken Tender restaurant in the food court! We found it was cheaper to use Uber to get places - since the Luxor is so far down the strip. Only negative : One morning we did find a cockroach in the shower - assumed it came up from the drain. Fun Stay in Las Vegas!
I stayed at Luxor for 4 nights and enjoyed my stay. All of the staff was extremely nice and helpful (front desk, housekeeping, baggage assistance, casino employees). The room was clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom extremely clean, shower worked well, and I slept very well. EDC was going on while I was there and yet I was never woken up or bothered by any loud noise. Overall I enjoyed my stay- that said there are a few things I wish would change: 1. outlets were not close to the beds at all-I like to have my cellphone near me in bed at night while its charging (I use it as an alarm). 2. There was no microwave or refrigerator- I think there should be a refrigerator in every room. Especially with the heat and prices of food and drinks it would be nice to keep snacks and bottled water in the room. 3. Room service was very expensive (I know it usually is) and only available 0600-1300. I enjoyed my stay overall, would stay here again, and would recommend to others.More
