This huge hotel combines revamped rooms and swish bars with family-friendly touches, like a giant aquarium and lazy river.
Big is the watchword at Mandalay Bay. It lines up an 11-acre pool complex, a 1.6-million-gallon aquarium and a 30,000-square-foot spa. If you ever want to leave, you’re a short tram ride away from the attractions along the strip.
A recent refurb means rooms are modern and chic, with statement walls, flat-screen TVs and cream décor. The spacious bathrooms are another bonus – they come with walk-in marble showers and big tubs.

Huge. Clean. Wonderful.
First time in Las Vegas, honestly didn't have high expectations based on people who have made everything out to be filth and strip clubs with some nice things in between. Mandalay Bay was fantastic. Check in was a breeze, I think we were lucky we arrived on a Thursday evening in April so there was no line. There was 6 of us and there were great about having 3 rooms all within a few rooms of each other on the same floor. We each had standard 2 queen room, view of rooftop and some mountains. Everyone we encountered that worked there was super helpful and pleasant. Exceptionally clean and well kept even through the weekend when it seemed thousands more people checked in. It was never overly crowded because it's so big and there's so many choices for eating drinking etc. Our room was clean, comfortable, and modern. Free WiFi worked pretty well. I liked that it was way down the end of the strip, kind of peaceful when you wanted to step away from the congestion. The pool was fun, we didn't have any problem grabbing a bunch of chairs together (6 of us), and they let us bring drinks from our room into the pool area (they just have you pour into their plastic cup). There's a well stocked market right by the elevators with great sandwiches, drinks, snacks, toiletries, etc that is always open. I will say the walls are pretty thin so if you are next to partiers you will hear them quite easily. However a quick call downstairs if it's at an unreasonable hour will elicit a quick response from their security team. No prices seemed out of line for the area, we even got a table at the Foundation Room our last night on Saturday for 1/2 of what I thought it'd be. Excellent stay, would not hesitate to go back. For what it's worth I walked thru Hard Rock Hotel, the Bellagio, Planet Hollywood, Luxor, New York New York, Aria, Ceasars, and probably 1 or 2 others and although there was some really nice architecture and restaurants, I didn't have the feeling of missing out even in the least. Mandalay is really nice. More
Mandalay Bay Bikini Bar Server Tried to Rip Me off - Management Did Not Care
My friend and I were staying in Las Vegas from April 18th to the 21st. The resort we were booked into was the Monte Carlo however as the pool at our resort was under renovation we were given access to the pools at Mandalay Bay and MGM. On our first full day (April 19th) we decided to check out the main pool at Mandalay Bay. We sat in the chairs in front of the wave pool close to a bar and ordered drinks from one of the bikini servers, (blonde named Jessica) as the bar told us we were sitting in her section. It seemed like the bar was extremely understaffed as it took about an hour for us to get our server. She took our drink orders and I gave her my credit card and my friend gave her cash, we ordered their "refillable" drink at a whopping $22 USD with a slightly reduced price if you wanted to refill it. 45 minutes later she shows up with our drinks and with my credit card and receipt to sign. I signed and totaled the bill at $27 (after taxes and tip). She then told me she would be "right back" with my receipt. Another hour went by and still nothing. I wanted to go in the pool but was scared I would miss her if I did. I pulled out my phone to take a photo of my friend and I and I noticed that my credit card had sent me a text message for an authorization for about $78 USD by Mandalay Bay. THANK GOD I have it set up that my credit card texts me when my card is charged anything. I spent the next 30 minutes stressed trying to find ANYONE to help or advise why my card was charged nearly quadruple what my bill was. Staff there kept telling me to ask other people and I learned that our server Jessica was on her break (a break she took before giving me my copy of the receipt). Finally I ran into her and asked why my card was charged that amount and she "didn't know" what I was talking about. I followed her and she then went into the Mandalay Bay Beach Bar and Grill (Bikini Bar) and returned with my duplicate receipt showing the charge for $27 and said my card was "mistakenly charged" that larger amount and that the charge would be refunded soon and I would be charged a new correct amount. She said it was a mistake she made. I thought it was strange that her story changed and she seemed nervous and I found it odd that she brushed it off so quickly and thought it was not a big deal. I asked her why she didn't tell me about her error or give me a receipt before going on her break. She wasn't answering any of my questions so I then asked to speak to a manager. I was upset and felt really violated. The manager Patrick came out and I told him I wanted an explanation as to why I was "mistakenly charged", why did I not get my receipt as promised and why was I not told when this "mistake" happened. I was very calm the entire time but I was upset. I was a server myself for almost 15 years and know that this is not how you treat people. It was not fair for me to be stressed about this or that I had spent a lot of time trying to track her down and wait for receipts. The manager Patrick brushed me off and made it seem like it was no big deal and that he would talk to the server Jessica about not giving me a receipt. He made excuses and excuses and made ZERO attempt to right the wrong or salvage what was now broken trust. He did not even apologize and it was obvious that HE DID NOT CARE and he tried to make it seem like I was overreacting. I spent the last 45minutes STRESSED on my vacation and trying to track someone, ANYONE down to talk to and nobody cared. They did not care that I was almost overcharged and they did not care that they stressed me out or that I had to wait the length of time I did. I was very upset and not convinced that if I had left before I noticed the overcharge that they would have corrected the error. Until my money was refunded today I was not convinced that I was going to be refunded. I sat back down with my friend after this terrible and disappointing conversation with management and we decided to leave and told the other people sitting near us to be careful. It turned out that the EXACT amount she charged me was the cost of the drink for myself, my friend and the two ladies sitting right next to us who HAD ALL PAID CASH except me. It was sketchy as hell ... did she try to pocket the cash and charge me hoping that I wouldn't notice until it was too late? I wondered how many times this has happened and how many times people were too intoxicated to even notice. We up and left and then went to the MGM pool which was a WAYYYY BETTER spot with lots of space and even more helpful cheery staff. We returned to a few pool parties at Mandalay Bay but NOT AT THE MAIN POOL - the DAYLIGHT pool - which was amazing and so was the staff. After this incident I was scared to use my credit card at first but the people at MGM made me feel comfortable again and I was able to do so eventually. I left the Mandalay pool feeling violated and nearly cheated, I would advise travelers to avoid this pool and their Bikini Bar especially if possible. If you can't pay cash, don't give them your card or make sure they charge you accordingly. OR try and order from the bar directly instead. Absolutely disgusted with how I was treated by management especially, they did not care about me or how their mistake made me feel. I will never go back here and will advise all of my friends who go to Vegas (very frequently) to avoid this pool.More

Great place overall, noisy rooms
Very impressive grounds. Lobby is gorgeous as are the pools. I was on the third floor and it sounded like my neighbors were in my room night after night because the walls are paper thin. My neighbors complained to me about the same thing. Wifi throughout the hotel is very good.More
A place to enjoy the prostitutes
Prostitution is everywhere, if you're gambling they will be all over you. When you are going back to you room with your wife and kids they're are in the hallways or by the elevators. They won't show you or your wife any respect. I got approached by 3 prostitutes while wife went to the bathroom, they're very aggressive. Mandalay Bay security were near by but did nothing, in fact 3 security officers were flirting with the prostitutes and the cocktail waitresses. In one hour I was approached 5 times by different prostitutes, I left the Mizuya lounge earlier because was discussing to see security do nothing about theses prostitutes. We were approached by a drug dealer also near the bathroom, we were told they had anything we want it. Our bartender told us that security refuses to do their job and that the prostitutes are aware. We stayed here for two nights, the bed sheets were stained, no free coffee, resorts fees are scams even if you don't use the pool or phone they still charge you mandatory resort fees, parking is not free, they will nickel and dime you for everything. My rental car was broken in and they took our personal belongings out the trunk. This two days were the worst days we ever had at any hotel. We had to pay for the damage to our rental car because Mandalay Bay is not responsible for your car even after they charged you to park there.More
