A huge indoor theme park, circus acts and a handful of restaurants – this place is a great family-friendly pick in Vegas.
Built almost 50 years ago, Circus Circus was one of the first hotels in the area. And it’s become something of a Vegas institution. Circus acts, rock climbing and rollercoaster rides are all on the cards.
Families are big fans of this hotel, thanks to the amusement park, live performances and casual restaurants. Plus, it’s at the quieter, northern end of the strip, so you’re a 10-minute cab ride from the very centre of the action.

Circus Circus 2 thumbs up
I booked my tickets and hotel through cheapest.com. I would say everything perfect and awesome! First time staying in Circus Circus i read some bad reviews but my experienced is terrific and i will definitely used them again. My 12 years old had a blast at , Adventuredome and Arcade. We also enjoyed the buffet and some souvenirs shops. Customer service was very nice and very quick to response. I asked for extra pillows and blankets they gave me a lot. My baby got sick and they help me find a closer Urgent care to take my baby.More
Good for stay with the kids
We traveled with a 7 year old, 15 month old, month old, and four adults. First, be aware that there is a resort fee that is about $20 a day. You need to read your booking information carefully to see it. We checked in later in the evening and the line for check in was very long. If you have the option, do not stay here over the weekend. It is insanely busy and significantly more expensive. No one tells you that you may end up waiting three or four rounds for the elevator, particularly if you have a stroller. This could be alleviated some if they had all the elevators running but they didn't when we were there...not all elevators go to all floors and that just added to the confusion. We were there a few days and by the second day we had the elevators down pretty well. We were in the Skyrise tower. I suggest the Skyrise tower to anyone that wants to try to avoid the craziness of the main hotel area (avoid gambling, avoid higher people traffic, those with dislike of elevator waiting,or those with children) stay in the Skyrise tower. The front desk check-in didn't tell us there was a parking lot specifically for the Skyrise tower, they made the first set of our party take a couple different elevators (which was dumb and a lot of trouble), we found the Skyrise tower parking on our own. If you are in the Skyrise tower be sure to locate the Skyrise tower parking, it'll make things so much easier. There was nothing spectacular about the rooms themselves. They seemed pretty average. If you want the luxury of Vegas then Circus Circus probably isn't for you. I loved the little stores that lines the walking areas from one area of the hotel to the other. They had some neat souvenirs. There was also a Starbucks and various other services like foot massages available. They have two outside pools and hot tubs which were open when we got there. The main walkway was closed so we had to walk out of the hotel and around to enter the gated pool area. They are stringent with the pool towels that were actually kind of ratty but whatever. Other than that, the pools seemed to be maintained well and the pools and hot tubs were an enjoyable experience. The Adventure Dome was very cool. We spent a good chunk of our time at the Adventure Dome riding the rides. The all day tickets were the way to go. The midway in the main part of the hotel was great also. Some may say the games are expensive, but the games give tickets easily and they have pretty decent prizes. In a town that doesn't have much for kids to do Circus Circus was a good choice for us to stay at. We didn't do much gambling but there is the main casino and random slots scattered throughout areas from one part of the hotel to the other. The staff was nice but after being at the hotel and in Vegas for four days I'll caution you that while staff will be nice to you they will not go out of their way for you....that sort of thing is why I like Reno better than Vegas.More
Excellent Hotel Stay
I had a wonderful stay at Circus Circus and I was very surprised considering all of the "not so good" reviews I had read prior to booking at this hotel. Check-in was fast. I arrived early in the morning and luckily they had a room ready for me. They gave me two red carnations for my birthday which was a nice surprise. The elevators to my West Tower king room were so very convenient located right by where I checked in. I was on the 25th floor and had a mountain view which was beautiful to look at every day. My room was so big I thought I was in a suite and I was at the end of the hall so it was super quiet. Beds were super comfortable. Bathroom was nice and big. Circus Circus does not offer room service which I could have really used one night. Restaurants: I did go eat at McDonalds several times because it was cheap and fast. Westside Deli is close to the lobby and had great chicken fingers and fries for a late night snack. Vince Neils Tutuado (Eat Drink Party) restaurant had the best burgers. Hotel buffet was really good. I would recommend gambling enough points to use toward the buffet. Be sure and sign up for the Players Club right when you get there. Krispy Kreme donuts was also in the hotel and they were delicious. Circus Acts - they had free shows throughout the day (trapeze artists and other things) which was fun to watch. Casinos - believe it or not they did not reek of cigarette smoke. There were some slot machines close to the lobby and the big room of machines was at the other end of the hotel. Adventuredome and Midway Games - this was a fun place to go and walk around and play games and ride the crazy rides all over the place. The only problem i had with my room was with the shower but once I reported it the problem was fixed within hours. Maid service - they did a very good job cleaning my room every day. It is a long walk to the other hotels - took me about 25 minutes to walk to the Wynn but I love walking the strip so I didn't mind. I did take the bus one time ($6 for a 2 hour ride) which was alot cheaper than the taxi cabs. I have stayed at several hotels along the strip which were alot fancier but I am telling you this turned out to be a wonderful hotel experience for me and I would recommend this hotel to everyone and stay here again.More
Clean rooms but good value for the price
We stayed in the sky view towers. It was better than I expected from the ratings. The rooms were clean and pretty quiet. My complaint was that there were only thin blankets on the beds with no comforters. I'm just used to sleeping with a comforters and it was hard for me to stay at a comfortable temperature. Overall it was a good value for being on the strip. More
The small print in reservations.
It appears your reservations are not reservations but rather an acknowledgement that you will be there on a certain date and they will TRY to give you the room type you have requested. Be sure of what they have given you, because, it may not be what you requested. This doesn't apply to Circus Circus but any reservation you make these days. This was the second time during our trip to Nevada this happened. I and my wife were traveling with my daughter and her family. I made the reservations for a king room and a double queen room. On first try we got two double queen rooms Second try got the king and double queen. The clerks were Very friendly no problem with them really. I should have confirmed what the rooms were with the first clerk . My fault not theirs. Rooms were well kept, staff were all great. I have bad knees and rented a scooter from the bell desk. Circus circus is a ways from the central part of the strip . Rental was 45 for 24 hours Well worth it. I was able to accompany my wife and daughter on a walk down the strip. we toured the shops at the forum and down to the Bellagio. Had plenty of juice to make it back to circus.More
