Factor in three sandy bays, a luxury spa and LUX*-style surprises, and you’ll find it easy to fill your days at the LUX* Grand Gaube.
The LUX* Grand Gaube sweeps around three sandy bays on Mauritius’ north coast. Its spacious grounds are groomed with tropical gardens only interrupted by three pools and a sprinkling of restaurants.
LUX* hotels are full of surprises. Just take their 'message in a bottle' idea, for example – three bottles are hidden around the grounds every day, filled with vouchers for gifts like special dinners on the beach or little boxes of Mauritian rum.

We came back from our family holiday at the LUX Grand Gaube, words can not express how fantastic this resort was. ALL the staff were extremely attentive, they were just there whenever you wanted anything. This was to celebrate a special birthday and whilst we were there I was cerinaded at breakfast and was presented with a birthday cake. Where do I start with outstanding staff. There were just so many, everyone was just so amazing. The food was outstanding of the highest quality fine dining. Although there are major improvements planned from 1st June to 1st December, these are to make rooms bigger and extend the dining facilities. When you hear this you automatically think that the resort is tired and in desperate need of an uplift, but this is not the case.More

5* hotel with 7* service
Where do i start to begin....1st of all the location of this hotel is great. Views are stunning and the sea is beautiful (see some pics!!!), however the real beauty is the ppl who work here. From the moment we arrived they have made us sooooooo welcomed that we really dont want to leave. My son DANYAL turned 3 and we were overwhelmed with the brilliant party they had organised for him at the PLAY club (which is great if u have kids). EVERY SINGLE day and night we were made to feel special. An example of this is when NICOLAS arranged a bubble bath for us in our room when it rained and my son was disappointed he couldn't swim. He went 1 step further and sent teas, hot chocolate and hot lollipop waffles with dips to our room. This is one eg of many. I really dont have enough space to write the lovely hospitality our new family have done for us. But they have gone the extra mile EVERY single time. A BIG thank you to ALL. Especially Diren , Nicolas, Sandeep, Emmanuel, Tracey, Nuha , Sweety... i would love to name all the staff but the ppl reading the reviews will be bored ;-) Think you get the gist :-) The standard rooms are clean and a little dated but this is to change. They will be starting a revamp to make it even more stunning. We were UPGRADED to the junior suit on my sons birthday. This room is very spacious and beautiful (not dated !). Food :- a variety of options to suit all and HALAL. Clearly labelled dishes for vegans , vegetarian and non alcoholic diets. Every night was different and not disappointing. PLENTY of activities suitable for a range of ages, the simple and the adrenaline type. We have been fortunate to travel extensively and have stayed in alot of 5* hotels. This one definitely tops service and hospitality. Dont forget this is still a 5* for rooms, food and activities! We generally dont revisit the same place BUT this is one place we shall be returning to again & again (NEXT visit very soon hopefully). More
