Althought it was my second time in the maldives, it felt like a brand new experience. The island and the staff were amazing, very helpful and very kind! I loved that even the restaurant was filled with sand so walking bare feet was possible everywhere. This island is perfect for relaxation. I will definitely recommend it to my friends! More
perfect place to go
It was amazing trip, we liked the location and the service, the good was very good and I think it can be better We didn't expect this treatment when we were planning to come but now we are definitely coming back again More
Loved our holiday at Vilamendhoo!!
We travelled with another couple, had great located JBVs, could not fault! (201 and 202). Food was excellent, with a great variety. We had one meal in the Asian Wok, the seafood menu. Great food, wine and the staff were brilliant. House reef was amazing, best snorkelling ever. One of us went diving and saw five whale sharks! The included sunset cruise was beautiful, got to see dolphins and manta rays! Could not fault our time spent here. The staff were great, shout out to Nasrath, our waiter at the Ahima restaurant! And the guys in the sunset lounge bar, thanks for looking after us and making all those Sidecar's! Hope to return, thank you, much love the Spencer's, Hooper and Willis party x More
Beyond expectations. First visit to Maldives, but not the last...
We stayed at Vilamendhoo for a week, following a tour of Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived at Male, the 5* service was obvious. The Crown & Champa departure lounge & the sea plane transfer were slick. Actually the sea plane was a thrill in itself. We stayed in a beach villa on the North side, on an AI basis which I'd certainly recommend. I could go on and on, but so much has already been said below. A few things I feel I have to say following on from recent reviews The food and drink are excellent. Chef Ivan & his team ( of 99!!) Serve an amazing selection of high quality food. Not only that, he proactively sought feedback and chatted to diners. My only observation (on the days which we swerved lunch & stayed in the sea!) was that the snack menu is pretty much all fried or deep fried but that's really insignificant. All staff are friendly... A special mention to the Gomafulhu boat crew. Captain Areef and Mumtaz who were determined to get me swimming with the Mantas even when I had no flippers! (They were packed ready for our departure later that same day) Finally, the reef and the sea life is just incredible. Access/ egress is very easy and you can quickly reach the reef from any villa on the island. We had the best time, so much so we are returning in October for 2 weeks. I hope that says it all! After all, actions speak louder than words 😎 See you soon. Can't wait!More
