Great Hotel with good staff
This review is a bit delayed, but here goes. We went to Alila (4 couples) in September, having heard good things about the place. There was some sort of conference going on at the resort at the time and hence we were all upgraded to their Club Diwa Facility within the hotel, which has its own private pool and much nicer rooms. Good things - Great rooms, good service, very efficient staff and an amazing Infinity Main Pool with a bar to chill out. Problem areas: We were there for 3 nights and had all meals included in the package, it did get a bit monotonous at the end. There was a wedding function at the resort during the last 2 days that we were there. We had no problems with that, the wedding party was rather well behaved. However, they shared the same restaurant for dining as us, and that is what was troublesome. The wedding party was all vegetarian and hence only vegetarian food was served. On being asked, the wait staff informed us that we were welcome to order any non vegetarian item of their Ala Carte Menu. They were apologetic about it and the items we ordered came in a reasonable time. However there was not a word from Management about it - I mean they could have asked other hotel guests to dine at any of the other restaurant, or offered room service, the presence of wedding party at the dining menu just made dining experience more chaotic and stressful. On the other hand, the staff is very efficient and go out of their way in trying to accommodate your needs.More

I have been visiting Goa often because of my work and holidays and have stayed with almost all big properties there. Must say that Alila is one of the best place to be in Goa. The resort is beautiful with nice décor, landscaping, chic rooms and lush surroundings. The infinity pool is perfect for relaxation. We had a second floor terrace room which was very well laid out and had very plush interiors and decor. We had a balcony overlooking the paddy fields with nice sit out having cushion recliners. Property has three food outlets though we used Vivo only for our breakfast and went to famous Martins corner for our dinner which is like 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The buffet brekafast layout at VIVO was huge and nice, food is tasty too. Evening they put indian chaat counters with cutting chai. What makes this hotel nice, however, is the staff. They are so pleasant, helpful and can't do enough for you. They are very professional and smart. Overall we had a fantastic stay at Alila Diwa Goa and will surely visit again...More
Very good property, service can be better
We stayed at the property for two nights and it definitely is a great place to stay. The rooms are big and comfortable. Mattresses are a bit on the softer side so people with back trouble might face discomfort. YOu can spend the whole day in the pool area, the bar is right next to it and the infinity pool is a great view. The service of the hotel, however, can be improved. I had requested for a late check out even before I booked the property which was okayed and then conveniently ignored. Worse came when we were about to leave for the airport and the staff told us that they sent our luggage with some other guest and is already on it's way to the airport. Our departure from the property was stressful. Though they did send another vehicle to bring our luggage back but this kind of goof-up is shocking. Well, Martins is a 5 minute walk so you can get your great mean there. Spice Route still serves better food in terms of taste.More

Wedding anniversary bliss
I Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and daughter. We absolutely loved it. It was monsoon season but going to sleep listening to the rain was a bliss. The staff are super friendly. We celebrate our wedding anniversary here, the staff made such a lovely surprise at our room. The food was great in both the bistro and vivo. Thank you alila for wonderful moments we had. We hope to come back again one day 😊More
I stayed at Alila Diwa in March 2017 with four girls friends and it was an amazing experience. Although check in is not until late we were lucky to have rooms ready upon arrival in the morning and we were surprisingly upgraded to the private area of the hotel. Thank you!! On the day we were greated by the GM Mr Savkur who told us about some places to go and visit. The hotel itself is amazing, from the rooms, the view, the staff everything was great. We all enjoyed our fabulous treatment at the spa and our dinner at the Indian restaurant which is a must try during your stay. I would really recommend it to anyone travelling to Goa and looking for some quiet time. More
