Yet again another amazing stay at this wonderful hotel. Although the bar area was under renovation the management offered complimentary meals and spa treatments which were welcome. Many thanks to Ramchandra and John around the pool for their outstanding service. These guys are a true credit to the hotel. It is always great to see them every year and they really contribute to making our holiday outstanding. Thank you Tukeram in Vivo restaurant who provided excellent service. Thank you yet againMore
We stayed here and then later upgraded to the Diwa Club. It is a beautiful resort with excellent facilities. Rooms are exceptionally clean and staff are polite and helpful. We loved the pool area and views surrounding it. The gardens are well kept and it is very pleasant to walk round the resort. It's very easy to get a shuttle to the beach although it was far too hot for us. Location is in a quiet area with few shops and 2 restaurants outside. We stayed with family of 4 and room was good size. The Diwa Club had living area with extra double sofa bed which was perfect. Overall a very comfortable stay for us.More
We chose Alila Diwa Goa for a weekend escape from Delhi and we really enjoyed it. Our expectations were high and they were met. We tried the cooking classes and the spa and they were great experiences. I also liked the gym and its fantastic view too! The nearby beach, walking distance really, is pretty nice too. Special thanks to Sherwin from the concierge desk for his personal touch and excellent customer service.More
We stayed at this hotel at the end of a wonderful two week adventure in India. It was sold to us as a tranquil haven but it didn't live up to our expectations. The hotel is very beautiful and looks amazing. Our problem was that it seems focused on corporate clients so, if you want a relaxing stay, you may have to share the pool with 30 business people on a jolly. Which happened on our first day. We had a good (not great) evening meal and good (not great) breakfast before heading to the beach. We came back to get ready for a nice chilled evening. Then the music started. It reverberated round our room so we could not hear ourselves think. Sitting on the balcony was not an option. When I complained, I was told it would be over by 10.30(!). Hmmmm. So that was ok then. I found how the manager dealt with my concerns offhanded and rude. It really put me off staying there. I absolutely recognise that many people enjoy their break at this hotel. But it wasn't for us and not what we wanted or needed. Corporate clients or big parties seem to be the name of the game here. Bear that in mind when you book. More
