Silver Sands Holiday Village

This hotel gives you a big choice of restaurants and a location right by Candolim’s golden-sand beach.

This hotel’s in a prime spot, just a two-minute walk from Candolim’s golden-sand beach. It’s much the same distance to the bars, restaurants and beach shacks along Beach Road.

There's a good-sized rectangular pool here. Dining’s a big deal here, too, with three restaurants including a great Indian à la carte and a place that serves up dishes from around the world.

Good Location

Very basic room, which I did not mind as only there to sleep & shower. (Could have been cleaner) but staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to the beach, & restaurants. Breakfast was very basic, but I am not a breakfast person anyway. Had a fabulous time in Goa. Cant wait to go back.More

below par service and accomodation

The bed sheets were unclean. No wifi at rooms, available only in lobby. A.C. was old though it was working with no temp display No set top box based satellite TV only cable network many channels were unavailable and the quality of the picture and sound of most of the channels were very poor. Food at the Chicago restaurant was good and it is the only positive in this hotel.More

Good property near to Candolim Beach

We were a group of 23 and enjoyed a lot. . Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on may 2016 . It turned out to be a good deal as we gt it for 1750 per night including Bf. Rooms were big and clean, lobby is big and people at reception are smiling and welcoming. breakfast can be improved, though a lot of variety was available. cons are negligble ( wifi ) .The staff, and specially Mr Peter all are friendly and helpful. Property is just 2 min walk from Candolim beach. you can see the sea from a cafeteriaMore

Not Great Service.... Think before booking if you have kids

We stayed at this property at Candolim for 5nights in the end of May 2016. We stayed at their cottage. The aesthetics of the cottage is too good from outside. Inside the cottage, things were not too great. The cleanliness could have been more in terms of the room, bed linen or wardrobes. We found the bedsheet being soiled during check in and a dirty used door mat inside the wardrobe. They have a small swimming pool which is clean enough. But if the property is full, then it is too tiny to accommodate the guests. The beach is just 5mins walk from the property which is a plus point. But I must say we were not too happy with their service. We had two small kids (1 year old) with us and their in-house restaurant (named Chicago) simply refused to prepare anything tailor made for them. I never faced this anywhere earlier. Hence everytime we have to go out to have food only for them. We once ordered the food though, but they took ages to deliver the food at the room and that too on a off-season weekday. Even they didn't change the linen/towels or provide the soaps on a daily basis until being asked. We had breakfast in our package. But the breakfast menu remained the same for all the 5days. As we visited during the end of season, most of the shops around the property were closed. Even the shacks were not open in good numbers. So I feel Baga is a better place to stay if it is not the peak season. More
