This hotel gives you a big choice of restaurants and a location right by Candolim’s golden-sand beach.
This hotel’s in a prime spot, just a two-minute walk from Candolim’s golden-sand beach. It’s much the same distance to the bars, restaurants and beach shacks along Beach Road.
There's a good-sized rectangular pool here. Dining’s a big deal here, too, with four restaurants including a great Indian à la carte and a place that serves up dishes from around the world.

Just returned home from a fabulous holiday in the silver sands at candolim. The hotel is fabulous, super very helpful staff Helen the receptionist is a very helpfull freindly young lady nothing was too much trouble for her. Sawan that serves in the bar is so friendly he made us feel at home. Our room was 604b on the ground floor and was cleaned and cared for by our wonderful room boy Shopba (i have probabley spelt that wrong sorry) the food at the hotel is amazing and would be hard to beat at any restaurant. It is in a great location 5 min walk to the super beach were we spent a lot of our time at bonos shack.will definately return.More
Memorable stay at candolim
Hi, May be bit late to write this review. Myself and my wife used to visit Goa every year after packing our kids to our native place during their summer vacation :) This year also we visited Goa during May and we wanted to move away from the populated Calangute and Baga. After much deliberation we decided Candolim which is a tucked away beach. I booked Silver sands holiday village through expedia and it turned out to be a wonderful stay. Usually when we book through travel sites, invariably we end up in some nasty corner room. But fortunately we were provided a decent pool facing room with good ventilation and view. Room was well maintained with clean sheets and a working AC!! Pool was really good under coconut trees, even though it was bit small. Beach is just walkable with lots of shacks and less crowded. I didn't try food from their restaurant since there were lots of options close to the resort. Overall the resort was well maintained and one can even try their cottages (which looks to be good) If you are looking for a idle stay away from crowd but close to main attractions, candolim is a worth try and silver sands can a be a good option when you want to rest your feet.More
my partner and me stayed here from 20 November - 3 December the room was basic but spotlessly clean with clean towels every day ,good a/c too .we didn't take breakfast at the hotel cos we couldn't get a decent cup of tea or coffee so we went to Zappas beach shack most mornings for breakfast which was cheap enough.the hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful ,I would definitely recommend this lovely placeMore
Best hotel and holiday
I have going to Candolim for 6 year's but this was my first time in a hotel. We booked this hotel via Thomson holiday. I have read the reports on here and we think it is one of the cleanest and very friendly lovely hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to any one. The rooms are very comfortable and cleaned every day. Thankyou Thomson and most of all thankyou to all the staff at the silver sands holiday village for making our holiday one of our best :) love More
A great stay :)
Stayed here from 26th November - 4th December 2014. We really enjoyed our stay and had no complaints at all... even though our room was not really the best in the hotel. Our view was of a hotel being built next door - very noisy during the day but we weren't in the room very much during the day - so this didn't cause any problems at all. We didn't make use of our balcony other than to dry our towels over night. We simply needed somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep and wash - and that's what we got. Room was mostly very clean and checked by the cleaners daily with fresh towels left on neatly made beds (I'm a sucker for towel art too and wasn't disappointed!). The air con was fabulous - we did find the water to be on the chilly side but we weren't bothered by this - in fact, after a hot afternoon in the sun it was quite refreshing. The location of the hotel is superb - a very short walk to the beach and a short walk in the other direction to all the shops and bars/restaurants. There are taxi's waiting outside the hotel however, we befriended a taxi driver that is based outside the supermarket Newtons up on the main road - this was the best move ever. Sunil took us everywhere all week. Don't pay big prices for day excursions!! Sunil was really honest and reliable and knew all the places best to see and visit - saved us a fortune! We did make use of the safe lockers at reception - which cost us 50rupees per day plus a refundable 300 rupees deposit. We never actually had breakfast at the hotel - instead we visited other shacks or restaurants as food is inexpensive and the selection at the hotel was not vast. This wasn't a problem to us as we enjoy trying various places. We enjoyed a meal one evening in the hotel bar/restaurant Chicago - it was a lovely meal. My partner had the lobster and I had the pork - both were delicious but we did enjoy other restaurants more. The staff in the bar are fabulous - very attentive and quick. You can order room service for no extra fee. Had some lovely cocktails made by Tom. Tom, Suresh and John were great waiters - always very friendly and professional. In fact, all staff around the hotel were always friendly, welcoming and professional. Rooms have to be vacated by 12noon on your departure day or you can arrange a late check out. We checked out in the morning, even though we had a night time departure flight. We intended on being out all day so didn't see the point. We were provided with a room to shower and change later in the day - which was great and free. I think next time we may pay extra for a late check out just to save on the hassle of moving bags etc. There are dogs around the hotel, there are dogs all over Goa! You are advised not to stroke the dogs but I couldn't help myself and used to save meat/fish from our meals to feed a passing dog. Only met friendly dogs - I guess they've learnt that it's not in their interest to be aggressive. This is just my experience though. This was our first visit to Goa - it was a humbling experience. I did witness some other guests not being happy with the hotel or their room - which I felt was quite sad. I'll never complain about having a comfortable bed to sleep in when there are so many with no bed at all and others working such long days for very little money. A beautiful place with so many things to see. We cannot wait to go back and we'd definitely stay here again.More
