This hotel gives you a big choice of restaurants and a location right by Candolim’s golden-sand beach.
This hotel’s in a prime spot, just a two-minute walk from Candolim’s golden-sand beach. It’s much the same distance to the bars, restaurants and beach shacks along Beach Road.
There's a good-sized rectangular pool here. Dining’s a big deal here, too, with three restaurants including a great Indian à la carte and a place that serves up dishes from around the world.

This is the first time that we have visited India in December. The weather is much cooler than when we generally visit in march. A few staff changes since last March. I was disappointed to note that Helen had left. A lovely lady who knew everyone and was very helpful. The bungalows are now looking rather tired and need to be updated. We had issues with our shower that took days to resolve, and wasn't fully resolved by the time we left. A new addition was the area by the beach with sun beds. This area is managed by Jaison who is always helpful! The area needs a shower as it gets very hot and is set back a long way from the sea. Hopefully this will be installed for next season. I was glad to see that most of the waiting staff had returned. Lovely to see Ajay, Tom, Sonny, John, Anil and Dilip. I think that management need to up their game as they cannot rely solely on location, and their staff. More
One of the best beachside resorts in Havelock
The Resort has everything one would want for a relaxing holiday by the sea. The rooms are very well maintained, clean and spacious. The private beach is so beautiful - perfect for spending time with family and friends away from the crowds found in public beaches. The management and staff are helpful and polite. Silver Sands beach resort also has a restaurant with a very nice ambience offering good food. All in all a great investment if one is looking for a comfortable stay by the beach without any intrusion into one's privacy.More
Basic but adequate
Our first room was extremely noisy and we requested a quieter room which we were given the day after. It helped that we were there during the election and there was a curfew on alcohol. The cleaning staff and bar staff were very friendly and helpful, one or two of the reception staff could go on a hospitality course. The internet was adequate. The pool area was the biggest disappoinment and we only used it once. it was very unwelcoming, the sun beds were just plain wood with no pading and the steps into the pool were dangeous to get down as they were round and very slippy. The "security boxes" were old metal cupboards and we were given a flimsy padlock to use. However, the reception is manned 24/7. An excellent location if you want English breakfast, Sunday roasts, bingo, kareoke, just not for us.More
Never coming back!
Well, where do I begin, everything about the stay here was disappointing. I just returned from a 4 night stay at Silver sands holiday village, candolim with my wife and daughter. We arrived at 1.15 pm, hotel has a check in time at 1 pm, on arrival I was told that the staff is busy eating lunch and I would have to wait after driving for 8 hours! Wow, I mean can't the hotel arrange someone to help guests when they arrive on time?? lol. No one welcomed us, not even a glass of water. Next, the hotel does not have their own parking, if you are driving down you'll have to park at the common candolim cark park which is overflowing with people, cars and debris! I had booked a cottage room and paid almost 6000 rs (approx 100$) per night which I think is pretty standard for a place like candolim. The room was the third disappointment! The phone din't work and needed 2 days to repair, lol. No space, even moving around the room was an issue. 1. No dressing table, 2. No tea/coffee makers, 3. No mini bar, fridge, 4. No view, 5. NO SAFETY LOCKER in the room, 6. Room service was a JOKE! one small incident I would like to share here, we had to go to the reception to order milk once as the room intercom was not working & no one was present at the reception, so we simply walked to the restaurant's kitchen and the attendant there was arrogant enough to tell us we did a mistake by going there & we should have ordered at the reception, later the receptionist again pointed out that it was our fault to go to the restaurant's kitchen! We had to remind them that the intercom never worked & the reception was empty! The swimming pool was TINY, lol. I think i got fooled looking at the pictures, the resort is pretty small, we still thought it was okay and went for the breakfast next day. There was absolutely nothing there, lol. Just some cornflakes, bread slices, butter/jam and tasteless potato kachori aka batata wada. Tea/coffee. We ordered omlettes and my wife asked for some cheese with it, the manager said it was chargeable! Simply not done! Next 2 days we din't bother to eat breakfast at the hotel. The hotel seems to have tied up with thomson and lot of foreign guests during my stay. The staff loves to butter them up, lol and simply ignores any indian guests around, such a shame! The only pro about this place is its near the beach but then the street next to the hotel is the main candolim street & its a fish market, almost a lakh people visiting the beach around the hotel area, no place to move or sit on shacks. I was lucky, i took my car and we could go around to eat and chill. I've been to palolem, colva, benaulim, majorda, calangute, varca and I was never so disappointed with any resorts I stayed!! Never coming back again!!More
