Dawn breaks over the lake and you rise early. You tiptoe out onto your balcony to savour the view and the overwhelming peace and quiet. Tucked in beautiful surroundings, this works like a tonic on jaded nerves. Built in 1995, the whitewashed three storey high resort overlooks two attractive pools besides a children's pool too. Facilities here include a steam room and whirlpool bath for the ultimate in relaxation but if this still isn't enough for you then visit the beauty parlour or treat yourself to a massage. If you're feeling more energetic work up a sweat in the hotel's gym. Entertainment is provided with live music playing four times a week and the restaurant and bar serve as an ideal retreat for guests. Your accommodation includes a seating area, a spacious bedroom and a balcony. The hotel restaurant offers delectable local fish dishes as well as Goan and international cuisine. Our guess though is that you will be content to sip a cocktail by the pools and watch the sun drop behind the lagoon.

Marinha dourada is a beatiful hotel with happy staff and two pools but the lakes add serenity and you can fish for all kinds of tropical fish, allthough we just fed them. Accomodation was good but have a low floor if your not energetic. The area is... more on this review
