Liberty Hotels Asena Beach Hotel

The Liberty Hotels Asena Beach has a location that's worth writing home about. The beach and town centre are a few minutes' walk away, and the Blue Lagoon's in easy reach, too. You've also got an impressive pool scene and a pair of restaurants.

The Asena Beach offers a hat-trick of plus points. Firstly, it’s only a five-minute walk from the main beach and the bars and restaurants in the centre of Olu Deniz. Plus, it’s just a few minutes more to Turkey’s famous Blue Lagoon.

Secondly, the hotel’s swimming scene is top-class. There are 2 main pools – the first is huge and offers views over Turkey’s mountainside scenery with your swim. The second is an adults-only option that has its own bar, plus there's a special pool for little ones, so you won’t be disturbed when they’re splashing about.

Finally, in the evenings, you can take your pick from the Garden Restaurant, where you can eat in the open-air, or Captain Hook’s à la carte, which specialises in locally-caught seafood. The hotel puts on regular entertainment, too, with belly dancers, snake charmers and fire-eaters appearing on the line-up.

Liberty Hotel Oludeiz

We have just returned after a great 2 weeks at the liberty hotel. The staff were very welcoming and easy to approach. The rooms are small but so what you only change an sleep in them not as if you are in them all day, cleaned every day so couldn't complain. The food was a bit samey stir fry most nights but other choices aswell and English breakfast every Tuesday but plenty of restraunts outside for breakfasts. But the food was very nice.staff in the hotel were very pleasant and helpful especially a lad called Saddo, very funny guy... Pool area always very clean and not too packed. I read reviews that it was noisy in some rooms with the music from the bar or the strip !! absolute nonsense couldn't hear a thing and neither could our friends who had a pool view. The resort itself is fantastic plenty to do , only 2 complaints I have is that its a bit more expensive than last year for beers and food but still cheap enough, and couldn't get a room for a late checkout but was told after we checked out that you can use the Turkish baths to get showered and changed if you want to, wish they would have told us in the morning so we could have had a last day round the pool.. But hey ho. paragliding is a must... Take a boat trip for 8 people its a lot better than the cramped ones on the beach. Overall the liberty hotel is a really good hotel will defo be going back their DONT book The Sun City Hotel like we did last year its crap!!! That's why we stayed at the Liberty thanks to Dennis the bar manager. Entertainment at the hotel is okay but not fantastic but plenty of acts to see on the strip eg. Elvis (funniest Elvis ever) Michael Jackson dancers and some decent singers. Anyway try the Liberty you won't be disappointed , some of the reviews I've just read about having new staff ! So what ! Staff change ! People complain about really stupid things its a good hotel and well worth a holiday their. 9 out of 10 from me.. Oh and go to Hissaranou market on a Monday some great deals to be haggled over... More

Chris M,

Nice hotel

Stayed in this hotel 12/09/14 to 19/09/2014. We booked two rooms, one for a couple and one for a solo traveller. When we arrived at about 7am after a night flight the man on reception booked us in and gave us one key. We explained that we had booked two rooms but he said the hotel was full and to come back in an hour when there would be a manager there. He did take a copy of our confirmation. We left all our luggage in the triple room (room number 134) which I must say was in a lovely spot and went and had breakfast. There was a great choice from fresh cooked omelettes, pancakes, fruit, cereal and the usual Turkish fare plus lots more. Tea, Coffee, hot water, peach or cherry drink, fresh orange juice you are charged for. Can not fault the breakfast. Returned to reception over the next couple of hours and they just had to wait for someone to check out before they sorted us out with another room. This was all done relatively easy and was just a genuine mistake and the problem was resolved. Just glad that we didn't have one of the rooms which look out over noisy Shadows bar. Beds were really comfy and changed regularly as we're the towels and the cleaner was brilliant and left the room spotless. The bathroom was fine and had complimentary shower gel and shampoo no complaints there either. All in all rooms were fine with all you needed, air con was free but the safe was £2.00 per day We did book half board as it was just as cheep as booking B&B but only ate there once as there are so many nice restaurants so close by. The food was nice but I'm not really a lover of buffet and we usually go just B&B as I like to choose from a menu and be served at the table as it lengthens your dining experience and it's not over and done with in 20 minutes. The meal I had was really nice as I stood and waited for my noodles to be cooked but by the time I got back to the table my fellow travellers had tried to eat as slowly as they could but had finished their meal - hence why I prefer to go B&B but it is a personal choice and not the fault of the hotel. There was a really great choice so even the fussiest of eaters should be able to find something to eat. The chefs deserve a special mention as they were really funny at breakfast and when I went to dinner, great sense of humour. When you check in they give you a pool towel card and you just need to go to the spa and trade the card for a pool towel which was handy. There were always plenty of sunbeds and although some people went down and put towels down early we never had a problem finding a decent spot at 11am and the hotel was fully booked . Pool was nice and warm. The hotel is just about in the middle of the strip and about a 20 minute stroll to the blue lagoon or a 3 Minute stroll to the main beach. Plenty of bars and restaurants on your doorstep so in a great position. One word of warning though, if you want a late check out room book it before you go as we heard several people trying but being told to come back on the day of departure as the hotel was fully booked and they probably didn't get it. Luckily we had our room until 8pm which we had prebooked as we had a very late flight home. The staff were really lovely and friendly as all the Turkish people are although I hate to sound too 'British' but they could do with reception staff that could communicate a little better with the guests as almost all of the travellers came from the UK and yes I know we should make more effort but I think some of the negative reports about the reception staff come just purely through a lack of understanding. Having said that they managed to sort my problem out just fine. We checked our bill every day and paid and luckily didn't have a problem with the room charge card but would much prefer to pay as we go as there is the risk of things being charged to your room in error. Would I return? Not too sure. Staff were lovely, food was good, room comfortable enough and everywhere spotlessly clean - it's just the fear that I may end up in a room on the strip that puts me off and I think I would rather try one of the other hotels away from the strip just to guarantee a good nights sleep, perhaps I'm being a little bit too cautious. If you stay here I'm sure you will have a lovely holiday as not really any really negative points that are the hotels fault just my own preference. Hope this has been of some help. All in all a lovely holiday.More

Ideal Location

I have been going to this hotel for many years, because of its position in the middle of olu deniz. However, every year we book a superior room on the quiet side of the hotel as there is a karaoke bar across the road. I have yet to arrive and get a room on the quiet side on day one. Once again my cousin and I had to move rooms on the second day. Every day there is a queue of people changing rooms. The superior rooms are a must as the other rooms to me are dull and need updated especially the bathrooms. Upside for me is the location, the very good breakfast, omelettes and pancakes to order although you have to buy orange juice, other juice ie cherry are free and the quiet pool which has no games and is for adults only.More

5th visit not as good as the last 4.

Visited this hotel for the 5th time but quite disappointed as to how it's changed so much over the last few years... Since the popular members of staff have left, it's just not the same. Good points: Beautiful clean areas, pool, rooms, reception, restaurant & bars... Staff work hard in these areas keeping it all looking nice. Fab location, no faults here. Pool bar staff are the best of the bunch... Always helpful, attentive and happy. Rooms & bathroom are fine. We didn't eat evening meals here but know from past years, the food is lovely. Bad points: Reception staff are terrible!!! No welcome smile, rude & not helpful in any way. The only bit of day time entertainment I saw was the odd game of water polo & no other activities as advertised. The poolside entertainment guys were terrible... So childish & inappropriately behaved. I noticed a lot of people around the pool were from different hotels & moaning that some people had left towels unattended on the sun beds for too long which meant they couldn't get the "best seats"! Breakfast was ok, fairly basic & not as good as other years... Where have the black cherries gone? And the once a week bacon? We probably won't be returning here again because it has changed so much which is a real shame. A special thanks to Dennis though and all the bar staff... You guys & girls do a fab job! More

Alisonpauljake,

Never again would I stay here!!

Ok, this was my second visit to this hotel. Never again would I stay here, the reception staff are awful, no customer service what's so ever from them. They have messed up with our rooms both times staying here, and soon as you address it with them they don't want to know. All you ever get is we can't move you and were booked up. Next door to our room one morning we woke up,to them completely ripping the whole of the inside out and walls down. No apology or warning, day 2 again constant banging, we were horrified to see what work had been going on. Only when I went out and took pictures, the banging stopped straight away, we had to live in dust for a week. The rooms and bathrooms are small uncomfortable and this hotel is way over priced. Never again would I stay here, the thomas cook rep Emily also needs to learn customer service, or you will not get very far in your new career, if you don't listen to customers and answer back! Liberty hotel train your staff on customer service, or you will loose a lot of business in the near future More
