Hotel Montebello

The Hotel Montebello puts you in a great spot for exploring Olu Deniz. Back at base, you’ve got pools, waterslides, and a helping of bars.

This hotel is in a great location if you like getting out and about. It’s 10 minutes’ walk from the bars and restaurants in Olu Deniz, as well as the sand-and-shingle beach. Hisaronu, meanwhile, is a 5-minute taxi ride away.

Inside, everything’s modern and up to date. Bedrooms are stylish, with splashes of teal brightening up neutral colour schemes. The rest of the place is bright and airy, while recessed LED lighting changes the mood after dark.

Excellent value for money

We booked this holiday through Travel Republic (who I would highly recommend and would book with again!) and travelled with another couple. I had reviewed a few hotels in the area, based on trip advisor reviews and this one came out on top for value for money. Excellent position at the back of the Olu Deniz resort, but at the same time only a short walk from the strip and beach. Rooms are basic but of an adequate size and cleaned daily by the lovely maids. Food is very good, with a varied choice to suit every taste. There is a buffet restaurant serving breakfast and lunch on the ground floor and then a buffet restaurant on the first floor serving dinner in the evening. The pool area is very cramped and you need to get your towels on beds by 9 to get a good position! However with only a short walk to the beach, we always opted for the latter. Evening entertainment is ok, but there is always plenty going on outside of the resort at local bars, if you want to venture out. Overall an excellent value basic all inclusive resort. One thing to remember is to take pool / beach towels, these are not supplied at the hotel, as they are at some other all inclusive hotels. Had a great week and would return, Olu Deniz is a lovely resort, there are some great bars and restaurants outside of the hotel, HELP bar was a favourite! Great atmosphere, never ending choice of cocktails, nice food and lovely friendly staff! If you are thinking of a boat trip, it will be well worth a walk along the beach to check them out first before booking. Hiring a speedboat for 4 hours is an excellent option to explore the different coves at your own pace. Just one more thing to add, PARAGLIDING is an absolute must do, an amazing experience for the young and old!!More

Ideal for groups and families!

This hotel is run by friendly, hardworking and efficient staff who always ensured guests enjoyed their stay. The hotel is spotless, clean and modern boasting slides for kids, (and adults!) 2 large restaurants, bar area and is in super close proximity to the beach. The few downsides are more niggles than problems - the pool area is very small for the size of the hotel and you often felt very close to those on the beds next to you. The evening entertainment was often cancelled so it was either a botched quiz or nothing, which is fine if you want to head in to the small town or just enjoy drinks, but we quite enjoyed the nights that did have entertainment. The hall areas outside the rooms are really big and open meaning it's very echoey and can be noisy at night with people going back to their rooms, equally the doors were very noisy so the bangs of opening and closing echoed loudly. The food was very good although it did become quite samey after a week. Other than that, we (a group of 3 girls of 25) thoroughly enjoyed a week of sunbathing - even in October - and making the most of this lovely hotel. We didn't feel unsafe at any time and were more than comfortable exploring the local area. Would really recommend to all.More

Montebello...a jewel in Turkey

Just arrived back from the Montebello early hours this morning...well what can I say apart from fantastic....This was our first time in Turkey and oh my were we enchanted. The hotel is on the outside of the main strip, about a 5 min walk from the hustle and the bustle and within range for a gentle stroll. Hotel is lovely and clean and the food is one of the better AI we have been ticky tummies from any of us. The pool is freezing and lack of daytime entertainment was the only downside but apart from that the complex is well maintained and well worth every penny. If you can't find anything to eat you must be extremely fussy and should maybe consider somewhere closer to home. As for the security we had no issues, iphones, kids consoles were left in rooms with nothing touched. The only issue we had was with ignorant British over 50's who though the world had to move over for them regardless if it was at the pool, in the dining room or at the bar or generally expecting the staff to run handover foot for them....manners go along way. As for the spa, we had no issues with the staff, if you think a staff member walking round giving you a leaflet is harassment maybe you should try Sharm where you are signed up without you knowing and expected to pay when you leave and you didn't know anything about it. Staff are very inattentive and work very hard all day everyday... All in all one of the best holidays we've been on Would we return...see you next October :)More

Pretty average hotel

After spending our first 2 nights in a very smelly room on the top floor of Block 1, we transferred to 1 of the family rooms in Block 3 which was quite comfortable, although the aircon didn't work but we didn't actually need it. Shower was good as was the housekeeping. Breakfasts were OK and during our 10 nights we ate dinner twice and lunch once and were pleasantly surprised with the range and the quality of the food; unfortunately the quality of the wine was very variable. Most staff were pleasant and helpful, especially Bahri and his mate at the poolside bar. As others have said entertainment was minimal. Overall, not a bad place in a good location and OD has lost none of its attraction, despite the new bars on the main strip.More

Family Oct Half Term Sun Getaway

The Montebello Resort, has 3 main buildings a medium to large pool and a twin slide pool on site (strangely the pools are not located next to each other, which has both benefits and drawbacks) the hotel itself is very nice and highly placed in the scheme of things. The all inclusive food is of typical for the region and staff are friendly and seem happy to assist should they be needed. We had two family rooms during our stay which consisted of 2 apparent style layouts which each contained one double bedroom, one twin room and a large showeroom with toilet and , 2x air con, two TVs with a handful of English speaking channels inc sky movies. The Hotel itself is disabled friendly, our rooms were supposed to be but had three large steps down into the apartment and was not suitable for anyone wheelchair bound, so double check before you arrive if this is relevant to you as they were aware this was an issue for us in advance, but theses are the the only family rooms and I doubt it would apply to the normal rooms which are accessible via lifts etc. (the venue spans across multiple levels so could be an issue for some) the location is stunning in the foot of Mt and a few Minutes walk or ride from the beach. It has been a bit of a wind trap today but I don't think that's a common issue. All side 24 hours in out of 11days I think I'm going to like this place a lot!More
