Hotel Montebello

The Hotel Montebello puts you in a great spot for exploring Olu Deniz. Back at base, you’ve got pools, waterslides, and a helping of bars.

This hotel is in a great location if you like getting out and about. It’s 10 minutes’ walk from the bars and restaurants in Olu Deniz, as well as the sand-and-shingle beach. Hisaronu, meanwhile, is a 5-minute taxi ride away.

Inside, everything’s modern and up to date. Bedrooms are stylish, with splashes of teal brightening up neutral colour schemes. The rest of the place is bright and airy, while recessed LED lighting changes the mood after dark.

Lovely, relaxing holiday

Arrived for the October half term holiday which was the very end of the season in Olu Deniz. In fact the hotel closed the day we left and the resort had started closing down a couple of days earlier. The attick room was very nice, newly refurbished and perfectly adequate for our needs. There are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room but you can access hot and cold drinks from the restaurant or pool bar. The hotel is nicely positioned with the mountains surrounding it, the resort centre is a pleasant 5 min stroll, so noise is not a problem. The resort of Olu Deniz itself is quite small and a little bit too commercialised, lots of restaurants, bars and shops, not very quaint or traditional. Staff at the hotel were always pleasant and attentive. The breakfast, lunch and dinner choices were good. There was always a choice of vegetable or meat dishes in the evening, maybe they could improve breakfast by providing cereals to accompany the range of dried fruits, as it was there was only coco pops or frosted flakes. Lunch and snacks were very good. The range of cocktails,in the evening was a little limited, I do not drink very much alcohol, but on holiday I like to have a piña colada or two in the evening, but these were not on offer, shame. The sangria was very good though and the bar man will mix it to your individual liking if you ask, ie, just a splash of this and that. Sunbeds around the pool were quite squashed together, but being the end of the season we never struggled to get a bed. All things considered, we were very pleased with the Montebello Resort and would recommend this to our friends. More

Absolutely beautiful hotel with fabulous staff

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing week away at Montebello. If you want a quiet holiday with little interruptions and little rubbish entertainment, then this is the hotel for you. We only ate out of the hotel once because the food and the service was so good. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean and the pool area is well laid out and comfortable. We were there the last week of the season so the hotels and businesses were closing down. I was wary of this to start with as I was concerned Oludeniz would be a bit of a ghost town, but it was lovely. There was a great atmosphere. I really recommend this hotel. It is walking distance to the town and sea front and you can see the para gliders from the hotel pool. There is also a great aqua park!More

Good and bad points

Have been travelling to Olu Deniz for 10 years and have stayed in various hotels in and around the area. This hotel looked very nice online and it is indeed a well decorated and maintained establishment but it fell short in a few areas. The family room we were allocated was huge and had two separate rooms but it was adjacent to the road and had little sun and no view (a wall). This meant the room was a little musty. We would have liked a place to sit out and enjoy the last few rays of sun but at least it was quite private. On our first day we wondered if we were going to enjoy our stay, the restaurant was so busy and the pool too. Sunbeds were packed together and even though it was October the hotel seemed full to capacity. The food was plentiful and we were satisfied with the quality and choice but the only reason we enjoyed our evening meal was because we were allowed in early before the rush as we had children. I think this holiday has made me realise that I don't think much of AI, I'm not a drinker and not a big eater. The sacrifice you make to go AI is that these hotels are popular, busy and noisy and as a consequence you need to decide if you prefer that set-up. I've decided I prefer small and friendly hotels with less going on and a quieter experience. The staff though as in all Turkish hotels are very friendly, love kids and nothing is too much trouble, so Turkey remains one of my favourite destinations.More

Terry M,

Lovely Hotel

This was our first visit to Turkey and I don't think we could have found a better hotel. Ok the welcome was a bit lukewarm but I couldn't fault with anything else. The hotel is situated about 5/10 minutes stroll away from the beach, shops and bars, on a very slight incline which wouldn't be a problem for anyone. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you, the food was great with a good range for everyone. Everywhere was spotlessly clean including the pool area and bar, there were plenty of sunbeds too. I would recommend this hotel.More
