Hotel Montebello

The Hotel Montebello puts you in a great spot for exploring Olu Deniz. Back at base, you’ve got pools, waterslides, and a helping of bars.

This hotel is in a great location if you like getting out and about. It’s 10 minutes’ walk from the bars and restaurants in Olu Deniz, as well as the sand-and-shingle beach. Hisaronu, meanwhile, is a 5-minute taxi ride away.

Inside, everything’s modern and up to date. Bedrooms are stylish, with splashes of teal brightening up neutral colour schemes. The rest of the place is bright and airy, while recessed LED lighting changes the mood after dark.

A good week

We stayed here for one week this is one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at staff are constantly cleaning especially around the pool.Food is ok but a bit samey puds are very good, hot food tended to be at best Luke warm. Our room was very good being on the end was quiet, one problem was the electricity kept going off. Ai drinks were a bit limited no white rum but bar staff were very good.More

3rd time for us at the Montebello

The hotel is in a lovely position far enough away from the main strip to be peaceful ,but only a stroll to the bars and shops ,The hotel is spotless the pool and surrounding area is cleaned daily ,the staff are characters ! Bahre and Eray are brilliant good banter and great service .If you meet Fred the photo guy take time to talk to him he s a great photographer as well .All the restaurant staff are good and the manager always greets you , we found the selection of food to be excellent all the salads and fruit so varied and fresh and something for everyone .A previous review mentioned mosquito s i have never got bitten in the montebello they spray all around the hotel ,wasps were only near the syrup drink machine or if a drink was spilt on the floor .Cannot fault the hotel so be back next year, just a note the entertainment has got better each year !More

Great Hotel, Great Holiday in Oludeniz

We have just returned from an eleven night stay at the Montebello Resort. Our first time in Oludeniz. Set in fabulous mountains and pine forests the views are spectacular. We stayed all inclusive and were made to feel very welcome by all the staff there, at no time, as in other comments made did we feel we were expected to tip anyone, we found a simple thank you earned you a big smile from everyone on the staff team - especially the cleaners. The Hotel rooms although not spacious as some hotels we have stayed in before, not enough hanging space for three adults, it was cleaned every day with towels and bedding changed frequently, on the upside the bathroom was fab, and the shower cubicle very spacious with a huge rainfall shower head, always plenty of hot water too. The balcony had three chairs and a small table adequate but to be honest we never stayed in our room that long. Free Wi fi and air conditioning was a big bonus too! TV had various chanels but again never paid much attention to it. The safe in the room cost us £22 for eleven nights and worth it for the piece of mind. The meals are buffet style and again not always to our taste, you can always get a salad if all else fails and fruit, to be honest it is so cheap to eat out - you might as well take spending money and eat out often. We enjoyed Mimosa for breakfast, the Terrace for the sunset, great Turkish food and steaks/cocktails afterwards. We also enjoyed Mexican food at Toscana all down in Oludeniz. Tried both Chinese restaurants and both were excellent meals. We did not eat out every day but it was nice to have the choice. One thing you must try is the paragliding in Oludeniz, a fab experience and the views are to die for ! You will however need to haggle for the price to get a good deal. We went with Gravity and was very pleased with the set up and the experience on the whole. The beach and Oludeniz is within easy walk of the Hotel and will take you about 10 minutes, some of the pavements are a little dicey so if you have walking problems be careful, slightly uphill on the way back too. Overall a nice pleasant walk. In other reviews I know that some have complained about the ice cream only available for an hour a day, to be honest how much ice cream can you eat in one day ! however many scoops you asked for they served you and it is really great ice cream with a range of flavours. Some might also say that the drinks choices were limited but again no complaints from us, we had whatever we wanted when we wanted. One of the best things about this holiday for me was not having to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a sunbed, there were plenty and always available with plenty of parasols too! such a nice change. This is a great family hotel, clean and in a pleasant area of Oludeniz, I would advise that sometimes in the early morning you will hear the call to prayer from the Mosque, it woke us on a couple of occasions but you get used to it and not a big problem. I would not hesitate in recommending a stay here, couples or family and would visit again definately.More

Super clean hotel

The Montebello Resort hotel is a great base for your stay in Oludeniz. The staff are always pleasant, courteous and attentive. The pools are very clean and the bar area is big enough to cope. The entertainment was not too bad and they catered for all ages and interests. The only minor criticism was that the all inclusive drinks package only had gin or vodka on offer for the spirits drinker but saying that there was never a wait at the bar to get served. the rooms are clean and large and each has a balcony and well equipped bathroom. The food is typically Turkish and although there was a vast choice of dishes they were not all to western European tastes.More

Great views but too many niggles for me.

Most things have been said about this hotel in previous reviews. The view from the top floor block 2 is fantastic, room is clean (cleaner always hanging around for tips which is a bit annoying). Seems our room was either cleaned at 8.30 or 17.30 ..had to go on the balcony twice whilst she cleaned the room. Room is small and storage space limited, aircon is good. Food is very good quality but somewhat limited in choice, but you can always find something to eat, service is good and used plates are not on the table long. Pool is good and very clean and the guy who cleans up does a fantastic job. The three main pool bar guys are like the "bar mafia" (you will understand if you go here), but are very friendly and the service is good, the young guy clearing the tables never stops. We did two trips when we were here, the boat trip for £6 was great value for money and one on my highlights, the trip to Fethiye market was not so good, too little time in market and too much time in their favourite shops and 2 hrs in the ghost town in mid afternoon...best do the market on Tuesday by going on the Domus (5TL per person each way). Beech is stony but free bus to Billy's bar is great and highly recommended as is the other side of the lagoon (6TL entry) both are 24TL for two loungers and umbrella. Main strip is great plenty to do at night, bars and shows galore, beer around 10TL and a very good meal for two with bottle wine 140TL. Shopping is an experience but as stated previously Hisnaronu is much cheaper and slightly less pushy...Domus 3TL each way. My experience here is no real need to take TL as every where take GBP and most prefer them. the locals are friendly and a polite "no thanks" is all that is needed to stop the hassle.More
