Set on a peninsula overlooking the sea, the Hotel Marmaris Imperial offers sweeping views and a private beach.

The Hotel Marmaris Imperial is set on a strip of forest-covered land that juts out into the sea, so it's as peaceful as they come. The city centre is eight kilometres away, but there's a regular bus service from the hotel entrance so getting there is really easy.

Days here tend to be played out by the swimming pools. You've got two to choose from, including one that's tucked away among the trees. They’re both surrounded by loungers, some of which are big enough to share. And for more in the way of relaxation, head for the sanctuary-like spa, where massages for two are on the menu.

In terms of dining, expect international dishes in the buffet restaurant, along with some local specialities. You can go down the à la carte route, too, with 2 gourmet eateries to choose from.

With a stunning setting in a natural bay surrounded by wooded mountains, Marmaris is one of the largest and best-developed of Turkey's resorts, located 100km from Dalaman airport, on the southwest coast. The wide, palm-lined seafront promenade follows the line of Uzan Yali Beach - a long, narrow strip of dark volcanic sand overlooked by a jostling collection of bars, cafés and restaurants. A good range of motorised watersports are available within designated safety areas. Marmaris' Old Quarter is a maze of narrow streets packed with old houses, tiny traditional bars and the colourful shops and stalls of the bazaar, and leads to Netsel Marina where sophisticated restaurants overlook elegant yachts. Marmaris boasts more than one thousand restaurants - catering from traditional Turkish cuisine to fast food! Bar Street and the main promenade offer great bars and clubs for late-night partying and dancing. Icmeler is poised on Turkey’s southwest Mediterranean coast, about eight kilometres from the bazaars and marina of larger Marmaris.
