Hotel Sunrise

Elegant and attractive and located right on the beachfront, the Hotel Sunrise provides the backdrop for lying back and enjoying magnificent views of the coastline. The Hotel Sunrise’s location takes some beating. The property is set on its own section of the sandy Uzun Yali Beach, and looks out across the bay to the hills on the other Side. Immediately outside, bars and restaurants line the road behind the hotel, and boat trips regularly leave from the pier in front. What’s more, although you’re in a quieter part of town, you’re still only a five-minute dolmus ride from lively Marmaris.

Back at the hotel, a kidney-shaped swimming pool is flanked by sunbeds and a bar area. It’s a great spot to soak up the views, despite some stiff competition from the beach, which also comes with sunbeds and parasols for hotel guests. And whether you opt for the pool or the sands, the sunsets are particularly nice, so make sure you leave a night or two free to enjoy them with a drink.

Head indoors, meanwhile, and you’ll find a top-drawer finish that’s all about helping you hit the pause button. The spa, for example, features all sorts of treatments and wraps, as well as a Turkish bath. Upstairs, the modern bedrooms are a good size and come with balconies and home-from-home comforts like satellite TV and air-conditioning.

Last but not least, the food here is well worth a mention. The breakfasts always prove a hit, with the likes of omelettes and pancakes sitting alongside cereals and fresh fruit. Fast-forward to the evenings, and it’s all about local and European favourites. The weekly barbecue night is popular, too.
