Great location

Excellent location and outlook, great pool, good accommodation (air conditioning awful at night), average food but very friendly staff albeit we did have to push to get a two bedroom villa as opposed to two separate rooms in the hotel. Would rate the hotel 4 star tops.More

Great All Inclusive...A Little Noisy Though!

My wife & I stayed at the Club Turban for two weeks in September 2014 & we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday! The Club Turban is a lovely hotel, it's not a 5 Star as it claims to be but it is a very good 4 Star hotel in my opinion. The rooms were very spacious & comfortable & they were kept very clean by the cleaning staff. Our room had both a bath & a shower which was good. The room had a good choice of cable TV, with free WiFi, and a well stocked tea/coffee making tray. The Air Conditioning system was very efficient, it did take a bit of effort to get it to come on at times if the doors to the balcony had been opened, but other than that it was fine. The room also has a safe in the wardrobe which was easily big enough for all our valuables. The food at the hotel was excellent. We've been on All Inclusive holidays before & I would say that the food here matched up to other places we've been to. There was always a very good selection of hot & cold foods to choose from, this was the case at breakfast, lunchtime & in the evening as well. My only issue would be to say that they could have perhaps had a greater choice of traditional Turkish food on an evening. The pools at the hotel were very clean. We used the Quiet Pool a few times & I would certainly recommend is in a nice shaded area with a small bar attached to was a great place to have a read & relax. The beach area is OK, the sandy part was a bit too crowded in my opinion (they couldn't fit another sun bed on there if they tried!) but if you can get on one of the jetty's then they are fine. My only real issue with Club Turban is the evening is too noisy!!! After dinner on an evening if you want a quiet hour sat having a drink then forget it. The noise from the entertainment theatre & then the beach bar pretty much invade every area of the complex, there seemed to be no escape! It all comes to a stop bang on Midnight so it's not like it goes on into the early hours, but it does become annoying after a while if banging music isn't your thing! The hotel location is good, pretty much in the middle of Icmeler & Marmaris. The local Dolmus can be picked up right outside the hotel so getting around is easy. Overall we had a great holiday & I would recommend Club Turban, but if you like quiet evenings when you are on holiday it may be worth looking elsewhere.More

A fab and relaxing break

We arrived in the early hours of the morning and didn't lift a finger until we left. The lobby staff and catering staff were friendly and quick on their feet. The hotel and surrounding grounds were kept very clean and our room was serviced to a very high standard. We had a couple of days of wind and rain showers and the staff worked relentlessly to clear the leaves from paths. It wasn't really needed but it showed that they had v high standards. The food was great and varied. We always did a walk round to suss it out before picking up a plate. The desserts looked gorgeous but I found them v similar to eachother. I favoured the icecream. Breakfast was yum. I recommend the waffles chocolate and cherries. One down point was that we liked to buy non inclusive cocktails and we're happy to pay but you could tell the bat staff didn't like to make them. It took a lot longer but we were happy to pay for them. In the end we went out of the hotel and into the resort for cocktails. The jetty by the sea is fab for sunbathing and the sea was warmer than the pool. So so lovely. We'd return to the hotel if we came to marmaris again. Thank you.More

not 5 star

really disappointed with this hotel, it is in a beautiful setting but with chipped plates chipped glasses and rough towels not to mention the hot food always cold, lots of variations of food and beautiful deserts, very friendly helpful staff, evening entertainment was rubbish. beach is volcanic but they have plenty of sunbeds no need to put towels out early there is plenty of space. Wouldn`t go back.More

Great holiday in September

Sorry it's late!! Great holiday in September! 2 weeks stay of pure rest and relaxation. Can't complain. Would definitely go again... Positive: •immaculate hotel Near to both izmeler and marmaris Walking distance to restaurants shops bars etc Lots of choice in buffets Adults only pool and restaurants Fantastic ice cream Sushi fish omelettes pancakes my personal favs Staff are helpful Fantastic rep for Thompson Michelle is amazing! Makes the difference that she lives there and she doesn't try to force you into trips but is helpful when you ask!!!!!!!! Best rep from Thompson I have had Beach on doorstep No fighting for sun loungers, can lay in late or not get one until after noon anytime... Really ( maybe not the case in peak season?) All in all great place Few rooms for improvements points for me are: Beach is nothing special just a little strip of sand Rooms a little old... And could hear next door loudly when in broom As always after two weeks food a bit samey ... But go out food outside hotel delicious and affordable Personally I don't agree with dolphins in captivity! I didn't like it in Florida or Mexico either but I am a mad animal lover, but when you see prices they can charge you see why. It's about $200 to swim with them just outside hotel!! Just to add do use the water taxi and local buses so cheap and easy And I love the Turkish ppl so friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would return to this hotel and turkeyMore
