Club Turban, a wonderful hotel

Just returned from our second visit to this wonderful hotel with Thomson. The staff are very friendly and helpful; the level of cleanliness of the hotel, grounds and beach are superb. The setting for the hotel and the views are breathtaking. We were originally given a room in B block, the adults only section, but we asked to be moved into a villa as we did not want to be trailing our wet scuba diving gear through the hotel. Next time we will use the dive centre's gear and hopefully take advantage of the sumptuous rooms in B block! The selection of food in the restaurant in B block was not as varied as the main block, however, as it was adults only it was quieter and less hectic. The staff who were there at our last visit recognised us and made us feel like old friends. We cannot say enough positive things about this hotel and have already booked again for next year!More

Anita P,

One week here as a couple relaxing and chilling

Firstly when I'm asked to write a review don't assume I've been in the kids club! Hotel was clean, spacious and modern. Enjoyed every aspect from relaxing by the pool to watching a show in the amphitheatre to having a beer in the beach bar and wine in the pool bar and passing the lobby bar on route to our room. Food choice good visited the italian, Turkish and Chinese al a carte the Chinese was okay. Service in the italian left a lot to be desired giving us mains when we still had our starter plates, plate dropping plentiful thought I was in Greece! The Turkish meal was really good. Buffet restaurants were okay could have done with regular replenishment but lacked this plus late night food supply of soup is no good after a few drinks.... Turkish kebabs or pizza would have been more appropriate. Overall the hotel was good but to sum it up I would say 3.5 rather than 5* ...even on our last day it was hard work finding somewhere to shower as although they say ask us on the last day for late check out you know in your mind this isn't going to happen. I got my shower eventually and got bit hot and bothered along the way unnecessary stress on your last day. In summary good hotel and clean but please consider the buffet, staff etiquette and do away with plastics cups in the bars totally understand by the pool but I believe all the little things will make this place 5* I want it noting that the entertainment was brilliant :) it may sound like I have complained but this place has potential to not just be good but amazing I would recommend but some minor improvements could be made to make this the best place to be :)More

not impressed

We stayed at the hotel 25th August for a week, Upon first arrival at the hotel, all looked good, however when checking into our 5th floor room our balcony was faced looking out at a five foot wall, unhappy the staff agreed to change us but not till the following day, true to there word we did indeed move into a bungalow overlooking the water park and all was good until that night as when the neighbours got in at midnight the proceeded to put music on rather loudly and fell asleep thus began out calls to the reception who did nothing about it, at 820 am the music finally turned off when they got up, lucky them for being able to sleep! with the help of our Thomson rep we was on the move again! Dining was like Butlin's standard dining package with 3 times the people crammed into it, food was ok though if you could find somewhere to sit and eat it! The pool pictured in the Thomson brochure (looks really nice) is an adults only pool, wish they had mentioned that! there are about 8 or 9 pools throughout the complex, unfortunately our 7 year old who can swim but is not overly confident in water had no pool he could put his feet down in with the exception of a 10cm toddler pool and a 30cm splash pool, with the level of pools across the complex this should be better, the room was cleaned daily and the maid service was very good, The first choice kids club was excellent as was the staff in it which made our sons holiday. The welcome letter in the room had virtually every language apart from English which is representative of the quantity of eastern Europeans at the hotel, would I go back to Turkey, Yes, Would I go back to this hotel, A big no! Disappointed!!!!More

wow superb / fantastic / best ever holiday

family of four but a room for 10, wow what an exprience fantastic. We stayed 26th aug 2014 @ club turban hotel, we had been before and had a fantastic room upgrade and excellent holiday. we have never gone to the same hotel in over 20 years but we had such an amazing time last year we decided we must return. We were apprehensive as we thought we may be disappointed on 2nd visit, how wrong were we, on arriving we were upgraded from two double rooms to one suite in the grounds, 3 double en-suites with showers, one with separate wet room and Jacuzzi double bath and a sauna for 4 people, there was also a sitting area with three double couches and a dining table and chairs for 6. the master bedroom was split in two with a HALF PARTITION. IN TOTAL THERE WERE THREE BALCONIES, 10 beds, 5 plasma tvs, sea views private pool for guests in the 6 apartments, carpeted throughout. we have never seen such a room neber mind getting upgraded. (fantastic start to our holiday). the staff were excellent very polite and friendly, bar staff remembering what you were drinking etc also topping up drinks at dinner without asking. food was a little repetitive but cant expect anything else when you are all inclusive they can only offer so much choice,(dinner -chips, pizza, chicken, steaks, veg, potatoes salad, fruit, cakes, ice cream) lunch (chips, chicken, kebab, burgers, battered fish fruit, salad, etc ) food always fresh we didnt try the alacart as we always were happy with the buffet (some people said dining area is noisey, there is also a smaller dining area quieter in the front buiding ,you go up the side of the security hut at front of the building and dining area is in the other building.. the pool was always busy but sunbeds available likewise the beach and decking at the sea. the water sports are amazing lots of fun and reasonable prices, we did jet skis (50 kilo/hour plus easy) water skiing, big mamma inflatable. there was also paragliding, speed boats, flying kite and other inflatables, it was fun to sit and watch. there is also trips leave from the harbour throughout the day. the location is 5 mins walk to the shops and they go all the way to marmaris but we preferred not going into marmaris as much (personal choice) icelamar is more upmarket appears a better area to shop etc less hassle and easier to talk to about prices. dolmibus was 60p each way and very regular dont think we waited longer than 5mins either way. the room was cleaned daily, fresh towels etc. beach towels were also provided and exchanged at the hut at the main pool daily the man was very good and joking every day very friendly. entertainment was good and passed time when we were fed up shopping. i can't recommend this hotel enough i have not got one complaint after two holidays here and i am very fussy. location excellent food good don't pass this hotel by you will have a fantastic time if you go. we will be back for a 3rd time hopefully next year. we travelled as a family of with our daughter 22 and son 19 1.5 hour transfer from airport to marmaisMore
