With four pools, seven restaurants and a private beach, this hotel has everything you need under one roof.
The hotel has a great spot between Marmaris and Icmeler. Its nearest neighbours are a pine forest and a private beach kitted out with sunlounger-filled jetties. Plus, there are shops and bars 5 minutes’ walk away.
There are four pools, each with a different pace, and seven restaurants, including an Italian à la carte. In the evenings, two venues – the amphitheatre and the beach – host live music and shows.
Buffet meals - breakfast 07.00-10.00, late breakfast 10.00-10.30, lunch 12.30-14.00 and dinner 19.00 - 21.30. Table service at the beachfront Italian and seafood restaurants. 1 visit per stay to the Turkish or Chinese à la carte restaurants.
Select local alcoholic drinks 10.00-00.30. Lobby bar open 24 hours for soft drinks.
Self-service snacks in the food court area, 12.00-15.00.
The buffet restaurant is an indoor restaurant with open sides, plus outdoor seating. It offers early suppers with a children's menu, and adults-only dining for ages 14 and over from 15th June to 1st October.
These family rooms have a natural colour scheme and provide you with plenty of space. They come with a balcony for that bit of fresh air. Plus, you'll also find air-conditioning and Wi-Fi included. These family rooms sleep 4, with a double bedroom, an extra bed and a sofa-bed in the lounge. Just so you know you'll also have 2 separate bathrooms.

Upgraded to this 5 star hotel along with many others as the other hotels in the chain did not open due to hardly any tourists visiting the resort. Could not fault it. Excellent food, friendly staff, tea and coffee at every bar included, bottled water available at every bar ,no charge. Just help yourself., 3 outdoor pools, one indoor along with spa. Chinese, Italian, steak house restaurants at small extra charge alongside buffet restaurant. Food selection was a credit to the chefs. No sea views due to the bungalows being in a pleasant wooded area. Golf buggies available for transport of cases or mobility issues.More
Very Disappointing for a 5 star :-(
We have just returned from a 14 night stay at the Yazici Turban. We booked this last year on the wonderful reviews that it had on trip advisor, the 5 star rating and the amenities list. We holidayed last year at the Voyage Torba in Bodrum and the difference for the same star rating were massive.
I am aware that bookings to Turkey seem to be down 40% which has had an impact on the hotels and other businesses there, however the Yazici group has 3 hotels in the marmaris area and the Turban was the only one open while we were there - so they should really have been pulling out all the stops to ensure the best experience for travellers - which was not the case at all.
There were good points and bad points to this hotel which I will detail below:
ROOMS - we had a family room with a sea view (1665) which was lovely - 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, an uphill walk to get there so avoid if you struggle walking, the family rooms are out in little apartments blocks away from the main hotel but much prettier. The main hotel bedrooms were much smaller and the corridors were very dark and depressing. The rooms were kept lovely and clean and our maid put lovely towel creations and petals on from time to time. the mini bar is stocked upon arrival with water, juice and beer - this however is not replenished at all (unlike other 5 stars we have stayed at in Turkey). Safes are free. Good storage space.
The grounds were fairly nice but a lot of uphill wallking, noticed the gardens for the villas were very unkept. lovely trees around with little birdhouses and squirells. Not many flowers planted and some areas could do with tending to.
Main pool was lovely and had a life guard, baby pool next to main pool was nice and in the shade most of the day, the other pools looked nice enough but no one was using them.
very disappointing - they were located up a large hill away from everything else and once there had huge flights of stairs to get to the top. My husband cut his 4 fingers on the yellow slide. The man who guards the slides did not look happy at any point. and the pool here was full of leaves and dead insects. the small slide was too fast for my little boy age 3 1/2 - and he usually flies down the kids slides.
Staff were average and assisted when asked. Check in and out were fast and simple - no complaints here.
Staff were pleasant and friendly and delivered and lifted our cases (remember to tip) and on rainy days were happy to collect us from room to restaurant.
Main restaurant layout is crazy - you have to go from one side to another across a very large room to collect things, Most staff did not seem very happy at their work with the exception of the Mehmet the chief chef who was always in good spirits and very attentive - he should be the guest relations manager but he enjoys his cooking. Mustafa Nahit Ilhan was our waiter in the main buffet and was the best of all the staff - works extremely hard and knew our drinks order and had it on our table within minutes of arrival and there was 8 of us. The Chinese chef was also a nice man and made the best noodles.
Breakfast - this was the best meal of the day - a good choice, cold meats, cheeses, fresh breads, eggs - boiled, fried, scrambeld and the best was the omlettes made to your choice. hotdog style sausages which were ok, beans, lots of juices, teas and coffee, cereal, fresh and tinned fruit, yoghurts and porridge.
Lunch/Dinner - Lunch was pretty poor and was mainly reheats and slight adjustments from dinners, soup was nearly always less than tepid at lunch and dinner, All food from the silver servers was not the best temperature, food from the other side of the hall was cooked in front of you therefore nice and hot. Salad selection was very nice - good choice. Deserts were very nice with a good choice and an ice cream bar. Ice cream at this hotel usually only had 3 choices per day (other hotels have a much bigger selection). If you like fish the sea bream was very nice.
ALA CARTES - on arrival only 2 were open which contradicted the advert in the brochure that said all would be open in May with limited choices in apr and oct. The weather was on and off and that was the explanation that they were not open with also it was the beginning of the season. Byt he end of our stay we had visited the Fish - slow service and poor meals, Chinese - average food - not better than the buffet and extremely slow service, Turkish - nice food - but not as nice as the Turkish food we had out or at other ala cartes from other holidays.
Lemon Cafe - ice cream, cakes and pastry - nice young lady working this herself under pressure but coping - choices were good.
Turkish pancakes - only tried them once they were nice but only choice of 2 fillings.
Food Court - a handy we place near the beach and the main pool, outdoors serving salad, burgers, chips, pasta and very nice kfc like chicken pieces.
Eva was nice helpful - the manager of guest relations however left a lot to be desired, her manner was very curt and short and she did not make you feel welcome, in fact the opposite - whenever I asked something I felt like I was being an annoyance. Once while asking her a question she answered her phone and spoke in another language - quite rude I thought. We had a big mix up for an ala carte booking we made for my Dads birthday and when I asked to speak with the hotel manager was told the manager was far too busy to speak to guests! Eventually the mix up was sorted with the help of Mehmet and my Dad got a beautiful birthday cake. I was also not impressed by the was the guest relations manager spoke to Eva her staff member.
Most of the spirits are not branded however they do have Jonnie walker and beefeater - but you must ask for this when ordering or you will be given the cheaper alternaticve. There was only the choice of 2 cocktails or 2 alcohol free cocktails which want much choice, soft drinks were as expected.
This was not good at all, we had 1 outside show in the 2 weeks we were there (Turkish dancing which was excellent) All of the other things were either quiz, karaoke, mr turban, mrs turban, couple turban - or a band at the beach bar. There were only a handful of entertainment staff and I was told by another guest that there was more than double that last year, darts were every day beside the pool but no rifle shooting, archery, pool etc.
We booked with Thomson and were expecting the Thomson kids club which was not there as they have pulled it for this year. The kids club here is in the area that Thomson had but was very quite and they only had 1 staff member to keep the kids occupied - Gunara - who was a lovely young girl and very good with the kids - my little boy loved her so much. the only thing was it was mainly colouring, face painting and board games. Mini disco was good and on every night - the kids loved it. There is a games room in the basement of the main hotel but is owned by an independent and you buy tokens to use the air hockey, mini rides etc. there was a fairground in the outdoor kids area which was not open the whole time we were there - again owned by the independent man who kept telling us tomorrow we will open - my little boy was desperate to go on the trampolines, swing chairs, big wheel and train and never got a go - again these will be payable when the eventually open.
BEACH - was nice - but a little stony - as a lot of turkish beaches are - they have put a walkway into the sea which saves sore feet - or but swimming shoes. Lots of nice sunbeds on the beach and on 2 jetties, and some lovely comfy couches at the back of the jetty.
The hotel could be so much better with lots of little improvements and I'm sure in the summer months everything will be open so will be a better experience for people, I would rate the hotel 3 star when we we there and it could be 4 star if everything was open.
Will not be returning to this hotel as there are much better available for the same price if you shop around.More
we loved it and well be back
I visited Grand Yazici Club Turban in summer 2015 It was great. We all had fun. The pool was clean, the shows were amazing, the food was tasty, the rooms were clean. I highly recommend and would love to go back to this place.More
Beware your personal possessions
Beware your personal items !! Had two ipads stolen from the room on check out day. staff at hotel have just told me items weren't there. i believe it was a staff member as they were the only ones with access to the room. The whole holiday was ruined by this experience. The staff at the hotel couldn't help or thomson,so with this mind forewarned is forearmed ,we stayed in room1850More
Booked this Hotel on account of good reviews and 5* rating.
What a disappointment main restaurant resembled more of a works canteen rather than a 5* eatery food very poor and repetitive with little choices, poorly signed layout.
Of 5 a la carte Restaurants only 2 open and 1 still being painted during our visit.
1st weekend Hotel hosted a conference which led to staff being overwhelmed not enough food prepared therefore had to eat out both evening and breakfast but more embarrassingly witnessed guests at conference filling bags with what food was available. Cafe areas continually ran out of milk and staff very unhelpful or willing to replenish same. Also unable to mix cocktails correctly.
With exception of 1 night of Turkish dancing entertainment was non existent unless you counted in karaoke bingo or quiz.
Walk ways very poorly lit.
Customer Relations Lady very unhelpful .
Thomsons kids club no longer available and Hotel run club charge for activities and resources. Kids area during our stay had several parts closed.
If your hoping to go out on a free pedalow you could have a long wait as they only have one.
Would not recommend this Hotel to anyone and definitely not value for money.More
