1st Visit

We returned one week ago after holidaying at Club Turban. The hotel was and ground were lovely, everything kept very clean and beautiful large pool area. We stayed in B Block which was a separate building for adults only which comprised of the accommodation, own separate pool area also a restaurant which was more relaxing than the main restaurant. The staff were really lovely and friendly, we could not fault them. Michelle our Rep from Thomsons was absolutely brilliant, had great local knowledge, friendly and always there to help in anyway if needed. We were there for eleven nights and every day was brilliant weather for the time of year. 100 yrds from the hotel you can go and swim with Dolphins which was an amazing experience and well worth doing. You can walk along the seafront to Icmeler or the opposite way to Marmaris about an hour either way, or simply take the dolmus which will stop where every you want. Overall we had a lovely time and could not fault the hotel for staff.More

Jan S,

Would like to say a massive Thank you to all the staff at the hotel. It was an extremely special holiday. A particular thank you to the children's club staff for entertaining our daughter. It was lovely to see her enjoying herself at the mini disco and shows. She has missed going now we are home. Although I still can not get the songs out of my head! Very clean hotel and grounds. Wide food selections across the complex. You really don't even need to leave the hotel if you don't want to as they cater to all your needs. Thank you again! 5* More

2nd visit and will go back again!

I've just got back from a 1 week holiday at the Club Turban with my boyfriend. This was our 2nd time staying here as we went there 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. We recognised some of the staff there and they remembered us also which was nice! We moved rooms twice but only because we preferred the bungalows to the rooms in the main building (personal preference), and unfortunately the 2nd room had ants in the bathroom, but the staff were more than willing to accomodate us. And the room was always lovely and clean when we got back from a day by the pool/beach. The maids are very friendly and even if their English was limited, they made an effort to say hello and have a smile whenever they saw us around the hotel. The air-con in the bungalows was good, but on the really hot days, I wished it was a bit cooler! They've now got Wi-Fi in more areas of the hotel rather than just in the lobby, however connection was not great and sometimes got cut off, and wasn't as good in the bungalows, but I was pleased that they've improved this as I was able to catch up back home whilst I was at the pool, whereas previously, I could only go on the internet in the lobby! The food was great! I've read some people saying that it was too samey but being an All Inclusive, I think they have a large selection of food so it's up to you to choose a different dish each time you go to eat! The food is always good quality and tastes good, and this time we were able to book one of the A La Carte restaurants (Turkish). I'd recommend booking these ASAP as they tend to get booked up very quickly so we did this on our first day as we learnt from our first stay when we missed booking a table! I'm glad we booked the Turkish A La Carte as I didn't expect all the food we were served! It was lovely and nice to eat in a different location to the normal buffet restaurant. The main pool, as before, was great! Very clean and the staff at the pool are very friendly and helpful. There's always a nice atmosphere there and we never had any problems getting a sun bed. The views are as good as I remembered and I was able to relax even more on this stay than before (I wasn't used to an All Inclusive holiday and couldn't just sit by the pool!). Abdula in the Beach Bar and Harun (We called him Gino coz he reminded us of Gino Di Campo - his voice - but he actually looks a bit like Chico!) from the Entertainment Team were great during our stay! They really looked after us and could have a giggle with them when we were out and about! Our stay was definitely more memorable thanks to them!!! The drinks were fab, I forgot how strong they made their cocktails! But there's a good selection on the list to choose from! We did the Lazy Day Boat Cruise again (you can book this at the hut on the way to the Beach and Beach Bar). It only cost £9 for the whole day cruise 10.20-6pm and lunch is provided. You just pay for your drinks and ice creams on the boat. I would highly recommend this as it is a great day out and we met some great people on that boat cruise (new friends that we will meet up with now we are home!). It's a great, relaxing way to see some of the surrounding area, with a few stops for a dip in the sea! They provide noodle floats & snorkels and goggles for you and kids and adults loved this trip! All in all, we loved our stay even more this time round and we are definitely going to come back again! Roll on next year!!!More

Nice but could do better!

Just returned from an eleven day stay at the Club Turban. We have visited this area many times in the past and have always loved it. This was our first visit to the Turban. So, what was it like? Good points: Really friendly, helpful staff, especially the wonderful Saim, who always had a smile and a sunbed for us around the pool! There was always plenty of sunbeds around the pools and the beach so no getting up at silly o'clock to get a bed! The food is ok, not great, just ok. Again the two waiters we got to know, the wonderful Erol and Azrim, were a credit to the hotel and made it bearable in the main restaurant! The Al a Carte Restaurants were better. The Italian and Turkish were good, great service and good food. The Chinese had lovely food but very slow service. The Grill however was the best by far. Food delicious and service excellent. You pay around £10 each for the Grill but it is very cheap for what you get. The rooms were large, we had one with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. They are kept really clean with clean towels etc every day. The décor is tired though and could do with a makeover! The location is ok, both Icmeler and Mamaris a taxi ride away, or a long walk - it took us just over an hour to walk from Mamaris. The best rooms, in my opinion, were in the main building as outlying rooms are dotted about the very large complex. It is quite dark at night and I didn't fancy having to trek to one of the rooms outwith the main building. There are a few different bars and entertainment centres dotted around the complex and they really cater well for kids. The Down side: I think the hotel is too big and impersonal. The food in the main restaurant isn't great and unless you get in for opening at 7pm, it is often cold. Wine in the restaurant is terrible, tastes water downed and nasty! The beer is fine though, The water downed drinks seem to flow through the hotel bars too. The entertainment for the gown ups is pretty bad. Im sure the entertainment team try their best, but the best entertainment were from outside troupes. Especially distasteful to me was the 'Erotica' dancing that went on at the beach bar, which was full of children alongside drooling men. It was billed as Latin or similar dance but it was four young women dancing a la red light district Amsterdam. Saw lots of the men videoing this and no doubt putting it on to utube etc. Really sleezy and distasteful. To their credit though, when I spoke to the rep about this (Thomson rep is fantastic here - Michelle) she spoke with the management who were unwilling to change it but sent a conciliatory bottle of wine and basket of fruit to our room! (Mmmm!) . All I all we had a good holiday but think, if we visit the area again in the near futue, we will stick to the hotels in Icmeler.More
