This contemporary hotel lines up a city-centre location, a private patch of Marmaris Beach, and great pool and dining scenes.
The Blue Bay Platinum is set in the centre of Marmaris, with shops and bars on the doorstep. The harbour and old town are a few minutes’ drive away, and you’ve got a private section of next-door Marmaris Beach.
The hotel’s not long had a full makeover, so everything’s really contemporary – especially the bedrooms, with their blonde-wood furniture, beach-scene wall murals and aqua accents.
The restaurant offers a mixture of Italian and international cuisine, with classic wines and trendy cocktails. You'll also find large screen TVs and occasional entertainment. Book a table in advance as it's popular. The terrace is open, depending on the weather. You can visit one of the à la carte restaurants once as part of your holiday package with an extra surcharge of 9 pounds sterling per person.

I've just returned from a wonderful week at the Blue Bay Platinum Hotel. Overall my experience of the hotel was amazing. The check in was very swift and easy, The room was well sized, modern looking with a balcony. The entire was spotlessly clean, with an army of cleaners working 24/7. All the other staff work hard with the reception staff and bar staff speaking good English.
The food as the hotel is exceptional, such a good selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No matter what type of food you like, you will find something you like. The soft drinks including real Coca Cola and Sprite, with Efes's as the main beer. You can also get pizza, chicken wings and chips at the food area around the pool.
The hotel has 4 mains pool, 1 big main pool and 3 smaller ones. The main pool was be a bit nosey for some, with various activities throughout the day. Officially you can't put your towel out before 8, but from 6 am onwards people are out in force so be prepared. The hotel is in a good located, a short walk from shops, restaurants and bars.
What I didn't like about the hotel was the wifi, its pretty awful. Its available at the reception but its pretty slow, and most of the time it won't even connect. You can pay 10 lira a day for wifi in your room, but to me the wifi in the reception should be of a much better standard. You get the full wifi bars appearing on your phone, but 'safari cannot connect to the server' is the message you mainly get. Also you only get TV and safe in your room if you pay extra. For what you pay to me, that should be at no extra cost.
Apart from that the hotel is great and I would definitely go back go. Family and couples, the hotel is perfect for everyone.More

Value for money!
My first time at an all inclusive resort hotel and I have to admit at first when we checked in I was a little drawn back from the busy ness of the resort as people were every where! It took me a few hours to warm up to the place after checking in, they told us wifi wasn't for free it's 10 Turkish Lira a day as it clearly states wifi included when we booked. It's only free in the lobby. Once we put our stuff down in the room, which were very nice and spacious, we headed down to the bar to get a drink. We couldn't find a sun bed they were all taken as it was the busiest time of the day. Thankfully my partner found another pool called the relax pool, all of a sudden we were in heaven! You can always get a sun bed here as it was away from the 2 main pools and away from all the busy ness and activity area. The food at this place was absolutely spectacular, it is the hotels best asset! The chef is apparently a top chef all the way from Istanbul and he did not disappoint! Every day there was so much selection to choose from and we did not get bored at all. Marmaris main centre is only a quick 5 minute dolmas ride away and it's a must see, beautiful by night time! I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to travel to Marmaris as its not that expensive and the food and staff are great. The only thing I would fault is the wifi arrangement but other than that I would most definitely return to Marmaris and stay at this hotel. Thank you blue bay platinum! More
Stayed at the Blue Bay as part of a cruise and stay August 2015. Staff generally pleasant. Food a bit repetitive but ok. Pools lovely as is pool area. Entertainment team annoying as they play very loud music around the pool and constantly blow a very loud whistle. Evening entertainment poor (compared to the entertainment on the cruise). Rooms are lovely and of good size (glad we weren't overlooking the pool due to the noise). Reception area, restaurant etc. very clean and modern. Drinks ok. Wifi in room ok but on the whole intermittent. Spa amazing. Good location, shops and bars right outside. Beach very poor (shingle and sea dirty). Wish we had done the stay before the cruise! Hotel more suited to 18 to 30s.More

Highly recommended hotel!
Beautifully decorated hotel, with comfortable, modern furnishings in the rooms. The hotel reception staff were all highly courteous and went out of their way to accommodate us on several occasions. The food was to a high standard and varied daily, unlike the recurrent menus I have experienced at other all inclusive hotels. There is also a fantastic snack bar that runs until the pool closes for the day, which is great if you fancy a change from a sit down lunch. The entertainment staff were a credit to the hotel, Dodo and his team ensured we had an amazing time at the pool during the day with games, without being overly pushy if we didn't want to. They also went out of their way to make sure we were safe at night, being 1 of 6 girls on holiday this was always a concern but the team always looked after us when we went out to bar street.
The spa service at the hotel is throughly recommended, both the staff and the spa itself were lovely! Blue bay is situated just a short, cheap bus ride away from the city centre and although there is no beach provision (a slight drawback for a beach lover like myself), it is only a 2 minute walk away and there is plenty of spots where you can go, which isn't private hotel access only. Another great holiday
As we expected, our holiday was great at Blue Bays. Nicola (guest relations manager) made sure we had a fantastic room. Check in was smooth, as usual. As this was August, the hotel was fully booked and was very busy. The staff are ALL a credit to this hotel especially, Alexander and Dean (drinks waiters), Emre (entertainment trainee - keep smiling), Mario (hilarious dancing) and all the others who ensured our holiday was fantastic. Alexander and Dean always made sure our drinks were full and although very busy took the time to have a conversation with us. The entertainment at night is 'kids club' until around 9.30 then they have a show which were really professional and were aimed at families. The restaurants try and cater for all tastes, salads, pizza, fish, chicken and yes, chips. The restaurant was very busy around 8pm so maybe eat a little earlier. In order to get a sunbed, I would suggest doing this before 8.45am as most beds are gone by this time. Don't think you can get away with popping down before 8am to put towels on as they will be removed! If you get bored of the all inclusive, the hotel offers discounts if you eat at either the Il Primo italian restaurant or the Cuba restaurant at the rear of the hotel. They both offer a 3 course meal for £9 and the food was excellent. You can also dine out cheaply in other places and the marina is particularly lovely early evening. It was around £50 for four of us for a two course meal with a couple of drinks.
So all in all another good holiday but maybe we will travel May or June next time as it was so hot hot hot (nothing the hotel could do anything about but I am sure they would if they could).
ROOM TIP - you may experience a little noise if you are in room 3106 as this is directly above the shop and also the pool table, football table and table tennis table. The hotel does have a policy that these games shouldn't be played after midnight. If guests are playing and being noisy just phone security and they will sort it out.More
