Blue Bay Platinum

This contemporary hotel lines up a city-centre location, a private patch of Marmaris Beach, and great pool and dining scenes.

The Blue Bay Platinum is set in the centre of Marmaris, with shops and bars on the doorstep. The harbour and old town are a few minutes’ drive away, and you’ve got a private section of next-door Marmaris Beach.

The hotel’s not long had a full makeover, so everything’s really contemporary – especially the bedrooms, with their blonde-wood furniture, beach-scene wall murals and aqua accents.

Another great holiday at the bluebay

Where do I start... After a great 2 weeks last year we decided to return to bluebay and once again we wasn't disappointed. The food is always good with such a variety to choose from unless u are a fussy eater! The staff in the restaurant are so friendly and remembered us from last year. Most days a table was saved for us breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rep and guest relations lady were so friendly and helpful. We booked a night at the 'talk of the town' pub through the rep and what a great night we had. It was £18 for a chicken dinner, small pudding, a free drink and the entertainment was drag queens!! Omg they were hilarious! On our last night we went opposite the hotel to the Picadilly bar/restaurant to watch the footie! What a lovely bunch of fellas there that make u feel so welcome. Our room this year was very small and not cleaned very often which was the only downer about this holiday. Chris who works around the pool and does the scuba diving is such a lovely bloke. Always up for a bit of banter and if ur lucky he'll show u his tattoos on his bum cheeks lol Again the people that made our holiday the best was the entertainment lot! Dodo, Lovely Lily, Shawn, Bob, Mustafa, Tuna and the gorgeous QB. They work their butts off and don't get the recognition they deserve. U gotta give QB a bit of stick when it comes to his bingo calling! His Fivety five call is hilarious. Janer at the pool bar is a right sweetie and could of happily taken him home lol More

Angelcherie,

Excellent last minute holiday no complaints for the price paid

Booked on Saturday 30th April 2016 travelled 9th May-16th May 2016, with my sister in law for a week of sunbathing, last minute with Thomson Holidays from Luton £197 all inclusive 4 star for 7 nights inc baggage transfers flights and All Inclusive food and drink. Well how can I complain for the price paid, I would have paid more as the Hotel was great, the food was lovely and the All Inclusive drinks were ok. The décor was modern the rooms were clean the staff were so friendly and the entertainments team were fab. Had a lovely relaxing week with good weather apart from the last 2 days which were cloudy and rain in the afternoon on Sunday, which was the only thing that spoilt it, but it was still warm. The private beach was nice just a shame it didn't have an all inclusive bar. The staff on the beach for the hotel were there ready to put your towels on your beds and get you drinks if you wished to pay for them. A mix of nationalaties all friendly. Near to the bars and shops. One and a half hours from Dalaman Airport which is a long journey after a 4 hour flight, but ok and worth the journey as Marmaris is lovely. Cheap boat trips at the Harbour in Marmaris 40TL or £10 with all inclusive drinks all day and lunch what a bargain and a lovely sea breeze, the boat stops in Turunc for one and a half hours in a pretty Turkish village lots of shops and bars, book direct with Tarzan for all trips he's on the Aquarium boat and very helpful this includes collection and drop off at your hotel. Also booked the Aegean Islands boat trip 60TL or £15 with all inclusive drinks and lunch and 50 minutes away to the port in Hisaronu by Dolmus bus included in the price. The boats stop to see the sights along the way and allows you to have a swim if you wish. Also visited the over a 1000 year old church and made a wish at the wishing tree. Visited the Hairdressers at the Hotel the stylist is great and only £8 for a wash and blow dry it was raining that afternoon so it passed a bit of time. Great pools very clean, a little cool but ok to cool off from the hot sun. Loads of sunbeds and no reserving which is great. If you are a Thomson guest wifi is free and great service in our room 1404 with a great sea and pool view managed to facetime my husband and daughter every day and also good connection in the reception ask at reception for details. The reception staff were also very helpful. On site spa, but didn't get the time to go wish I had of though as people who I met said it was great, a little pricey but that's because its in the hotel and its convenient I suppose. A lovely patisserie at the hotel serving lovely cheesecake and All Inclusive. Went for dinner at one of the a la carte restaurants at the hotel called Il Primo, at the entrance of the hotel, had three courses fresh salmon to start fillet steak and sauce absolutely beautiful and tender and pudding and 2 rounds of English spirits with mixers all for 143TL around £35 for two, service excellent and a change from Buffet food in the hotel. Would definitely recommend for a change. The Sail bar opposite the hotel I was told by another guest was also very good friendly and cheap. If you get this hotel for a good price you would definitely not be disappointed. I would return again for the right money. We went 2 weeks before the season started and it was lovely not too overcrowded. The hotel was clean in most areas apart from the top pool toilets which need some work but the rest of the hotel was lovely. Book, you won't be disappointed if you get a good price like I did how can you complain. I would pay no more than £350 out of season. I've been to far better Hotels in Turkey but at a much higher price, at the end of the day you only get what you pay for in life, I would rate this a good 4 star with lovely fresh food, especially the breads, pizza's, ice cream, salad bar and fresh turkey and chicken with gravy. The desserts were a little tasteless but ok and plenty of choice. The snack bar was a bit samey each day so we ate in the restaurant as the choice was better. If you are a fussy eater like me you will always find something you like. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay lovely and relaxing with no hassle whatsoever, I would definitely return at the right price, I couldn't fault it, enjoy.More

Highly recommend

This hotel was amazing, it's just like the photos. The room was very spacious, the beds were very comfortable and the shower was fantastic. There are four different food areas my particular favourite was the buffet bar as they had a wide range of food which will suit everyone. The staff are so welcoming and the hotel's entertainment team were very friendly and made you feel included, they did a great job at entertaining the people who visited my favourites were mustafa, moussa, emre and lily they literally made the holiday. I would highly recommend this hotel I cannot pick any faults with it what so ever. Everything is so new and modern, its immaculate. I will definitely be visiting again.More

Last minute

The hotel looks lovely and clean offering 3 outdoor pools one is adult only and an indoor pool also a small kid pool with 2 slides they do work hard to keep the pool areas clean the water is freasing but just what you need after baking in the heat . ROOM the first room we were alicated was a family room one of the rooms had a dubble bed and the other 2 singles then one wardrobe between 4 . This room had not been cleaned very good and had a funny smell but a quick word to guest service and we moved rooms . The second room was lovely I strongly recomend booking this if there are 4 of you as it has 2 bedrooms and a little seating area lounge . Where the TV fridge and tea coffee making things are . On the TV u get 2 English channels but for £10 you can upgrade to full sky which was brilliant for my 15 year old son . FOOD If you like eating chicken you are sorted every meal and chips . A few nights we struggled to eat but we are a little fussy the salad choice was very good also the deserts . I can't coment on breakfast as I never went down . There is also a snack bar ope from 11 till 6 so the kids will never be hungry . Entertainment The team work really hard and are very friendly always trying to get you involved with the planned activities they do but the night time entertainment sorry it's rubbish . Mini disco for little ones bingo then some kind of show that lasts 40 minutes. OUT AND ABOUT We used the little dos bus to go to icmila it costs 3L and it's worth a visit the beach is lovely. You can walk right along the beach front to mamaras harbour it took us 50 minutes but I walk slow there are a few bars along the way . Just out side the hotel there are bars restaurants shops a big supermarket and McDonald's. As the all inclusive gets a bit much we went to picadily for a meal one night it was worth every penny beautiful recommend a try we had a 3 course meal and a few drinks for 4 people and the bill was about £70 for the night . MONEY You can pay in all the shops with leira and English you get better value in English money OVER ALL the hotel is good for young children and couples not a lot for kids over 10 to do we struggled to keep ours entertained. The blue bay was good for a cheap holiday but I think it's more like 3 star sorry everyone has there own opinion if I can help please feel free to mesage me . I didn't take a lot of pics this was the vew from our room . More

Best Hotel I've stayed in!

Stayed at the blue bay hotel 9th May-21st. All the reviews are spot on. Nice chilled relaxing holiday. Everything you need for a pleasant stay. Plenty of sun loungers, parasols. Beach towels available. We spent all of our time by the quiet pool. Nice and peaceful. Plenty of action going on at the other pools. Our room was above the main restaurant, level 1. Massive balcony. Fantastic shower. Hot water no matter what of day! Fresh towels everyday. And bottled water. You will never go hungry at this hotel. There is something for everyone. Everywhere very clean. Regular tests of the pool water. All the staff were terrific, could not fault at all. 30 minute walk to Marmaris town. Didn't seem far as shops all the way down. Don't forget to barter!! Save some weight in your case! Cause you will need it for the authentic Turkish fakes lol. Happy shopping 👜👛🕶👟👕 Would go back tomorrow!! Happy holiday⛱👙👣😎☀️🏊🏽More
