Blue Bay Platinum

This contemporary hotel lines up a city-centre location, a private patch of Marmaris Beach, and great pool and dining scenes.

The Blue Bay Platinum is set in the centre of Marmaris, with shops and bars on the doorstep. The harbour and old town are a few minutes’ drive away, and you’ve got a private section of next-door Marmaris Beach.

The hotel’s not long had a full makeover, so everything’s really contemporary – especially the bedrooms, with their blonde-wood furniture, beach-scene wall murals and aqua accents.

Great hotel

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel back in June 2014 ( very late review i know ) we had stayed there with two of our friends and all i can say is what a great hotel , the hotel was beautiful can honestly say best looking by far in Marmaris, the rooms were very modern and spacious did have an issue with the air con but was rectified immediately , the location is amazing for everything 3 minute walk to the beach 2 minutes from pubs and shops , perfect , the only reason for not giving this hotel a 5 is because the food choice wasn't to my cup of tea the food was very neatly presented but for someone who likes typical British food the food wasn't to my liking at meal times but the all day snack bar was perfect , staff were very nice not amazing english but more than enough to have and uphold a conversation , during peak times of the day the main pools were very bsy but a nice size pool around towards the front of the hotel big enough and always seats available , very cheap place to go to , would definately recommendd and would definately go againMore

Ben S,

Loved it :)

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week in September and I have to say we both absolutely loved it! The room was absolutely beautiful very modern and specious it was also spotless which is something I’m very picky about I have to say I had no complaints with regards to cleanliness. Our balcony looked out onto the front of the hotel at first I thought it would be a bit noisy but it was fine. The room was well equipped fresh towels and bedding were provided daily I also have to say I found the cleaners to be very friendly. Most of the staff we came into contact with were great very friendly and helpful some of the bar staff were a bit rude and sometimes they seemed as if they couldn’t be bothered. Apart from them everyone was great. I have to say a special mention to Nicola who worked in guest services she was lovely very friendly and always happy to help. It was my birthday while i was over there my mum had arranged for flowers to be in my room on arrival she organised this through Nicola and said she was just so nice and helpful. The food in the hotel was nice the only thing is i found it to be very repetitive we only ate hear a handful of times I cant say I was overly impressed. One night we ate at Il Primo ala carte restaurant situated at the front of the hotel this was lovely I would defiantly recommend. The Hotel entertainment was good there were always lots to do. The only negative i would say is that it finished a bit early at night otherwise it was fantastic. The hotel spa was out of this world while I was there I had lots of different treatments all were amazing especially the medical back message. I spent a lot of my time in the spa it was just so good well worth the money. The hotel is great for couples and family’s I would recommend to anyone who is visiting marmaris the location of the hotel is great too. I’m sure at some point in the future we will return.More

Best holiday yet, staff were amazing.

Where to start with this hotel! After a long two hour transfer we could see our hotel coming in the distance as we neared.. lit up blue at the end of the road. You walk in to a big open white marble reception / lobby area and check in with the friendly reception staff. A luggage man takes your luggage to your room (wasn't really neccessary for us as we were on the same floor but a nice gesture anyway) and I was told the bag boys like a tip so we gave him £1 even though he didnt ask for one or look like he was waiting for one. ROOM- We had room 2015 which is first floor but level to reception which had a lovely pool view and was next to the end room. If you are lucky enough to get an end room i think they are bigger due to the shape of the building. When we got there at around 1.30am we had sandwiches and water left out for us which was nothing fancy but a nice gesture! The bathroom was clean and tidy and the shower was massive and really powerful which is great. The room was a decent size and it was nice to see the double beds werent just two small beds pushed together like the have been in other hotels we have stayed in so no falling down the middle! Yay! Cleaned everyday and one of the days we had lovely rose petals on our bed which is always nice. FOOD- There is something for everyone and the food was good quality- be sure not to miss the specials on the immediate right as you walk into the main hall as there is often pre-made meals there which saves fuss and when we had them tasted amazing. Lots of variety on food, loads of salad bits, fresh stone cooked pizza, options of meat, fish veggie etc! Eggs in the morning were fried fresh but if they werent to your liking you can just ask them to make you some runny ones and they wouldnt hesitate. Food was available most of the day in the pool bar - chips, pizza, spag bowl, burgers, chicken wraps, burgers and 3-4.30 ice-creams and waffles. They make fresh watermelon or melon smoothies some days poolside and they also took round a trolley boiling up fresh corn on the cob! The restaurant is open for midnight snacks at 11.30 which we only used once and doesn't have much except soup and breads etc but was a nice gesture! The a-la carte visit was a nice gesture and there is a italian restaurant and a cuban, we chose to eat at the cuban as it had more entertainment but the menu was the same in both a-la cartes. DRINKS- Cocktails pre-mixed aren't strong but a little hint is go to one of the bars and ask them to make you up a surprise cocktail! The bar staff love being able to show off their skills and you end up discovering some new lush cocktails and they arent stingey with the alcohol! Local beer is efes and doesnt taste like hairspray like a lot of hotels beers. They have a wide range of all inclusive alcohol and even if they dont have what you want they make something similar (eg i asked for malibu and coke, they mixed vodka, coconut liquor and coke and you wouldnt tell the difference). One night that impressed me was the super party night! Cocktails galore! Never seen so many its great and they put on a show with massive sparklers to start the night when they bring out the cocktails. STAFF- Now this is where the hotel excelled itself. The entertainment team are AMAZING. The daytime pool entertainment is soo much fun and the staff really put their heart and soul into it. They encourage you to join in but they are never pushy... and if you join in its brilliant fun, don't hold back! Nebe in the restaurant dealt with us everyday and kept our drinks topped up at dinner so we didnt have to trapse back and forth to the bar! The girl that does the waffles is lovely, smiley and is so happy when people say please and thankyou "youre welcome" she will always beam. Everyone is soo polite and friendly we really couldnt of asked for any better staff at all! Special thanks to Ibrahim who is one of the photographers in the hotel. He took photos of us across several nights and put them onto a cd for us at the end of the holiday and he was really sweet and we really love our photos- thankyou ibrahim!! OTHER- Little gestures like being able to check cds from excursions on the laptops and wifi everywhere made this hotel the best we have been to! The ONLY thing I could find to mention that isn't positive is you do get a little nagged by antonio to use the spa in the hotel- we booked elsewhere and actually found we should probably should have had it done in the hotel as by the time you pay for extras it ends up similar costs to the hotel and probably much more hygenic and a nicer atmosphere.. that and that you dont have a bin in your room only a small one in the bathroom which was not big enough for us at times but such a minor issue it was ALL we could find that wasnt 110%! Well worth staying here, you wont regret it.. and anyone that has managed to find anything to complain about I would love to know how!!More

Bethannie O,

Great hotel food a bit boring

Stayed for 2 weeks AI have done this before in other hotels but found the food here a bit boring after a week. Not had this problem in other hotels on AI. Some days for evening meals there were 5 or 6 chicken dishes at the same time. All the deserts tasted similar so gave up on that after a few days. Was expecting a real taste of Turkey but unfortunately did not get it.Food was tasty but just not as good as other places we have stayed. The hotel itself was great, clean well presented with fantastic staff room cleaners were exceptional nothing was too much trouble.Pool area was always clean and poolside entertainment was really good great animation team, evening entertainment not so good. Had to laugh at people putting towels on sunbeds at 0630 very sad people as there was no need, you could have breakfast and still easily get sunbeds. The management did nothing to stop this although it did say you couldn't do it. We did move someones towel which did not go down well but who cares lol if you are not there for over an hour what do you expect? Over all a great holiday and if they sort the food we would stay there again.More

Blue Bay Platinum

When you are searching for a nice, relaxing holiday: Blue Bay Platinum is the answer! It's great to see that they keep on making changes to reach the guest expectations. The only thing they don't change is the staff, so when you arrive in the hotel for the 6th visit it truely feels like coming home! Thanks again Team Blue Bay Platinum for a wonderful holiday!More
