This contemporary hotel lines up a city-centre location, a private patch of Marmaris Beach, and great pool and dining scenes.
The Blue Bay Platinum is set in the centre of Marmaris, with shops and bars on the doorstep. The harbour and old town are a few minutes’ drive away, and you’ve got a private section of next-door Marmaris Beach.
The hotel’s not long had a full makeover, so everything’s really contemporary – especially the bedrooms, with their blonde-wood furniture, beach-scene wall murals and aqua accents.
Honeymoon and Anniversaries get free sparkling wine, fruit basket and flowers in room on arrival.

We absolutely loved our stay at the blue bay platinum hotel. The hotel is stunning and I conveniently located on the main strip of marmaris, you can catch a dolmus ( mini bus) just outside the hotel to explore further. Icmeler is worth a visit and costs about 80p to get there. The staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful, and there is a wide variety of food on offer. I don't really understand people who complain about the food, a lot of it is traditional Turkish food but you don't go to turkey for fried egg and chips!! We will definitely be back to blue bay and we would recommend it to anyone! More
BlueBay Platinum Turkey
We recently booked a holiday with Thomson for a 'Platinum' package holiday, on arrival we noticed we had two single beds pushed together (when booking we requested and paid for a DOUBLE room), when we spoke to hotel management they said this is standard for a double room and we were immediately dismissed, this wouldn't have been a problem for us but whenever you lay on the the partition where the two beds met they immediately slid apart. Another big problem for us were the cleaners, throughout our stay we only had our towels changed ONCE and our bedding was the same for the WHOLE WEEK and it was completely filthy in our room, things like the sink and kitchen area were grotty. Dirty cups and wrappers were left on the side & we only had one small bin located in the bathroom, one late morning I even went back to the room and found one cleaner rummaging through bags (which is odd because they weren't actually cleaning anything!!) After that we felt like we had to keep all valuables locked away and be careful as to what was left out. Also our room door would not lock. Opinion on this hotel would be that it is certainly not a PLATINUM service ESPECIALLY towards end of the season, watered down alcohol, running out of food (I.E Ice-Cream) and bad entertainment. Thomson also offer an excursion to visit the Turkish baths, myself and my partner paid for this excursion and a further £10 EACH extra to have an oily massage (which was recommended by our rep) after our massage we headed back to the Hotel and my back was in pain, my girlfriend then noticed bruising all down my spine (which I had my partner take photos of). Another problem we experienced was our flight home, boarding the plane at 1.50am we wanted nothing more than to sleep and had a rude awakening when the Air-Con started dripping with water, this was mentioned to a male member of the cabin crew who told us 'don't worry it's just the air-con' as you can appreciate, cold water dripping on you throughout a four hour flight isn't pleasant especially when we'd paid extra to have specific seating, the cabin member also said he would get us a tissue to try clean up some of the mess but this was never seen. Overall bad experience for the money that was spent with Thomson and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. Certainly NOT platinum.More
Great hotel - shame about the lack of entertainment
This was our first visit to Turkey and after a 4 hour flight from Norwich and then another 2 hour transfer by coach we were welcomed with helpful reception staff and the bell boy was there ready to take our cases to our rooms.
Rooms were excellent with a lovely shower and plenty of storage (wardrobe and a chest of drawers and dressing table).
Food was quite repetitive every day, but the selection was very good. ( some foods were not labelled as to what they were which was a slight negative).
Jabbad the waiter was excellent and he made sure we always had a drink and that our plates were taken away when we had finished unlike a couple of other waiters we had.
The only negative we really have is the lack of entertainment- and the tiny amount they did put on was horrendous - yes it was the end of season, but we were all paying guests that deserved better.
We did find a bar down the road called Always where the staff were really entertaining and the drinks were Bogof which made it even better.
Paula the Thomson rep was brilliant who helped with various questions we had about excursions and places to visit in the local area.
A definite place to visit is the Bazarre which is full of 'genuine fakes' and cheap as Asda goods. A must for hagglers like myself :)
I do have to mention about the prayer calls that took place at approx 5.15am which to start with w woke us up a couple of mornings other than that we got used to them.
All in all a lovely hotel. It's just a shame about the entertainment.More

Only 3 star I'm afraid
Arrived at this hotel for a 10 day stay with my husband and 4 children. We booked two triple rooms and requested to be next to each other as me and my husband would have to split due to the age of our children. We were upgraded to a family room and triple room two doors away from each other. We were happy with this. Beautiful hotel, very clean.
I cannot recommend the food here...same every night and the worst thing was it was cold!!! All t.he time. Bluebay this lets you down!!! Waiters very polite, but wouldn't leave my daughter alone, which meant she wouldn't eat her meals ( got very annoying after 10 days) We ate out on three occasions as the food was so appalling. Other guests were also complaining.
Spa- looked beautiful so my husband suggested I treat myself to a manicure. I needed some old polish taken off, this was done by filing my nail plate, and has since wrecked my nails. In and out in 30 minutes for a "luxury manicure" not so luxurious when the girl was sat on candy crush during my manicure and tipping the dirty water onto my feet in the pedicure chair!!!!!
Fridge didn't work the entire time we were there after two complaints to reception. Bottled water was just left on the side. Room floor was not cleaned the whole stay. But as I said the rest of the hotel was spotless.
I wouldn't stay here again for the price we paid.More
This hotel is one of the best I've stayed in.
The staff are amazing, friendly and hospitable.
Nicola (Guest Relations Manager) will go to the end of the earth to help you with anything you need.
I've never seen a hotel so clean there was forever someone going around cleaning mopping up or picking up something that had been left by a another guest.
Would definitely go back again, during the day there was plenty of entertainment, although the evening shows could be a little longer.
The food was exceptional with plenty of choice.
Both pools were clean and free of any rubbish.
Rooms are cleaned daily and we never had any issues.
Overall this was the perfect hotel to stay at for my first trip to Turkey, can't wait to go back.
