Blue Bay Platinum

This contemporary hotel lines up a city-centre location, a private patch of Marmaris Beach, and great pool and dining scenes.

The Blue Bay Platinum is set in the centre of Marmaris, with shops and bars on the doorstep. The harbour and old town are a few minutes’ drive away, and you’ve got a private section of next-door Marmaris Beach.

The hotel’s not long had a full makeover, so everything’s really contemporary – especially the bedrooms, with their blonde-wood furniture, beach-scene wall murals and aqua accents.

I reserved a suit to pass my honeymoon and from the agency they mentioned that we are honeymooners and the asked for a special decoration and welcome but nothing happened what happened is that we arrived after our wedding directly to marmaris than to the hotel without sleeping at 10 am and they give us the room at 14:30 we said many times that we are tired but nothing happened. Also we reserved Seaview room but it wasn't sea view. For the Internet also they mentioned free wifi where the reality that only in a small part of the lobby free and in the whole hotel not free and very bad connection. For the housekeeping always forget to put towels and you have run around the floor to pick towels because after 3 hours of calling the reception no body comes to give us towels. Only the food is good and the rooms are clean and in general the service is for 3 stars hotelMore

Elias A,

Fun in the sun

A very nice hotel in a good location. The food was amazing. A short walk to the beach. The room was standard for that sort of hotel. Pools were nice & clean. The local shops right on your doorstep. Plenty of water sport's on offer and boat trips. Would recommend to family's and couples.More

Well run, pleasant hotel in good location

Booked AI for one week in July with my boyfriend. Only the 3rd time I've gone AI as usually prefer to eat out and have been disappointed in the past, however this place was amazing value for money. We still planned to eat out for most evenings but we got lazy a couple of times and decided to eat at the hotel for dinner based on how nice the lunch was. If you relish your holiday meals then you would probably get bored eating here for a whole week but this would be the case for ANY all inc hotel - you have to remember they are catering for 100s on a daily basis, there's a limit to what they can provide. I digress - the breakfast: was more than sufficient with a late option at 10-11am (most hot food cleared away by then with just pastries left). Omelettes to order was a nice touch. Lunch: between 12-2 I think (in the main restaurant, which by the way was nicely laid out and decorated, felt a little less like a buffet than places I've been to before and if you can find a quieter corner somewhere you could almost forget it was a buffet). Couple of times had fried fish with salad. The salad bar was immense, there's really nothing that you cant find here with about 10 types of dressing to choose from as well. All seemed very fresh to me. There's a separate area with hot dishes on offer that rotated throughout the week (curry, rice, veggie, meatballs etc), lots of choice. Usually some other changeable options at the hot plate opposite the salad bar, again varied between whole fish, pasta, chinese, all sorts. If you missed lunch there was a fairly constant stream of fried chicken, chips, pizza, salad and wraps available at the samller cafe/buffet area next to pne of the pools. Dinner - see lunch above, in fact seemed to be similar. There's also a patisserie open from 11-6 daily with a selection of cakes, and if you get there before about 2-3 grab some delicious cheesecake that seems to be quite popular and runs out! Drinks: Beer on tap, soft drinks on tap, wine ok. Forget the cocktails, just cheap sugary rubbish (not much worse than what's available in the resort bars!). Freebies all shut off at 11.30pm so bare this in mind if you're looking to stay onsite for late drinking. Location: Perfect for us, we paid a little extra for seaview room which turned out to be a good choice since the sea views are at the back of the hotel away from overlooking the pools and any of the general noise. A 30 second walk across some wasteland to get to the beach. Seen a few peeps moan about this as being a problem/disappointed that hotel isnt "beachfront". It's not beachfront but it really is just a few seconds walk to the beach and the views are not compromised so dont be put off unless you literally want to step out of your door directly onto sand. Plenty of lovely restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk either way. In my opinion, if you head to the beach promenade and head right in the Icmeler direction for about 7-8 minutes, there are some fabulous restaurants here in a small group. We tried Alibey which was part of a boutique hotel and it was absolutely lovely. plenty in the opposite direction too (Stella being my favourite), you're spoilt for choice really. Room: as mentioned, nice sea view and nice clean room with aircon that works (you will need it, definitely). Little on the small side for our liking - we couldnt pass each other at the end of the bed. If the room had been an extra foot longer it'd have been fine. Bathroom was nice, large sink and shower cubicle big enough to fit two ;). Slight annoyance here was that in the bathroom you could hear upstairs whatever they were doing and could hear toilets flushing and water running through pipes. Not a big deal but a bit odd. Water pressure was very good - decent shower. Beds a TINY bit hard but that's just my personal preference. Plenty of storage space. Fridge worked fine. Cleaners were sporadic. Didnt bother at all one day even though I saw them around. Felt like they didnt clean the floor of the shower cubicle for a couple of days as it started to look grubby. Forgot the towels once... Again I'm not making an issue here and it didnt spoil anything, just being thorough :) Dont forget to turn off your aircon if you want to sit on the balcony - aircon regulator was on the balcony on the floor so got blasted with very hot air. Not very refreshing. Hotel itself as a whole - all staff were very friendly and efficient (except cleaners! they were forgetful). Restaurant area was constantly being tidied and cleaned ready for new guests - dirty plates etc stayed on tables for only a couple of minutes so no waiting for a clean table. Food constantly topped up too, nothing seemed to run out. Pool areas nice and clean. Little bit busy but could usually find a sun lounger whenever required. There was a 'quiet' pool located just outside reception area which was nice if you wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle. Wifi - chargeable in room but free in reception. We got around this by getting wifi from the bar next door to our balcony :) obviously not an option for everyone unfortunately. Overall, I found the hotel to be very good value for money, in a nice location and I would definitely pay to visit again.More

Great spot, food delicious

2 big things for me on hols are food and a decent gym. The food in this place was plentiful, extremely tasty and pleasantly varied! The gym was great and has everything you need, however i had to ask for the air con to be switched on in there daily and the request was mostly ignored.... Staff were otherwise polite and helpful. We had a wonderful couples' massage at at the spa - thoroughly worth the time There seemed to be a big problem with beach towel supplies. The hotel supplied these free which was great but quite often ran out... Needs to be addressed The pool area was quite busy during the day so we spent most days at the hotel beach which was lovely - about 100m away over wasteground but despite other reviews, this didn't pose a problem. Our room was cleaned every day and smelt lovely. Toiletries weren't replaced though. Generally, this is a really sound hotel, with just a few thing to be ironed out. We would definitely return! 😀More

Julia I,

Beautiful Hotel

My partner and I meet out friends each year for our two week holiday and this was our 4th visit to Marmaris. Although first time here in the Blue Bay. Beautiful and clean, staff very helpful and friendly. The food was great plenty of variety and there were meals made up on plates so you didnt have to wander around and end up with a variety on your plate. The wine wasnt up to much I could only drink it as a spritsa and the vodka was awful. The pools were great and the animation team was excellent and not pushy at all. The spa is lovely although you can get it cheaper outside the guys are lovely. My friend and I had a deep cleanse £45 but was worth it it lasted an hour. The Euro was on and the mega problem was that you could only watch this in the resturant which you had to pay for food and drink!! We thought this was dreadful so we went out and watched the football in the local bars and had lovely cocktails with proper vodka.More
