Blue Bay Platinum

This contemporary hotel lines up a city-centre location, a private patch of Marmaris Beach, and great pool and dining scenes.

The Blue Bay Platinum is set in the centre of Marmaris, with shops and bars on the doorstep. The harbour and old town are a few minutes’ drive away, and you’ve got a private section of next-door Marmaris Beach.

The hotel’s not long had a full makeover, so everything’s really contemporary – especially the bedrooms, with their blonde-wood furniture, beach-scene wall murals and aqua accents.

best holiday ever *****

although it was our best holiday ever a few things let it down 1, only alcohol spirit drinks available was Vodka and Gin, you can not even pay for other spirits as they do not have them. 2,Swimming pool steps, only the main pool has walk in steps the quiet pool needs walk in steps as older people and the not so mobile found it very hard to get in and out of the quiet pool. 3. be careful of the floor on the entrance from the pool area to toilets/restaurant and lift, as this becomes wet with people leaving the pool staff do try to keep it dry, i slipped on it twice within a few hours on the second slip i broke my big toe very painful that's it for bad points we can not fault anything else thomsons rep (Michelle) very good as is Nicola from guest relations food very good lots of choice staff always cleaning happy to help entertainment team very hard working and goodMore

Summer bliss!

We have just spent 2weeks at this fantastic hotel. All the reviews we read before we went were very accurate. The staff are fantastic, the food is lovely, the hotel is clean and beautifully maintained. The highlight for my teenagers were the entertainment team who are a genuinely lovely bunch of guys that do exactly what they are employed to do, entertain! Even my husband got involved and joined in and he wanted a quiet holiday. The entertainment evenings are fantastic and varied and comedy night is a must. We would go back in a heartbeat!!!More

Amanda W,

3rd time at this hotel

Holiday was for 11 nights, I last visited blue bay in 2013 and well I will say it still looks beautiful from the outside this year I was disappointed, this hotel has gone down bank especially within the house keeping area, I remember this hotel as being spotless and I can't say the same this year, I had to go threw at least 6 plates to find a clean one, the bar area absolutely stinks of sick and no way would you want to sit in there, the food was disappointing and just looking around the lifts the reception etc it's no where near as clean as it used to be, I do believe this is due to a quiet start to the year that they have had to reduce staff, but again I don't think that is any excuse, when I last visited blue bay you would put a glass down and it would be picked up within seconds this year I can't say the same and it's a shame, I still enjoyed my holiday and have to say the plus side to this hotel is there amazing entertainment team they work so hard and do such a good job, every single one of them make them selfs known and make the effort to get to know you, Shaun is just amazing and it shines threw how much he loves his job, another favourite of mine was tuna the dj again absolutely fantastic team and I do hope blue bay keep this team as I think they work so well together and made my time very enjoyable, I did have a good holiday and do still like the hotel just think they need to work on the cleanliness of the place, don't anyone be put of going to marmaris with recent media it's absolutely fine we left the hotel lots of times and explored I just love the Turkish people they can't do enough for you.More

Roxanne M,

14 Night Stay

Okay so here goes. After reading numerous reviews on this hotel I finally decided to book for our family of 5, which included 3 children aged 9,7 and 4. On arrival we were greeted with a fleet of parked cars at the entrance of the reception area, highly annoying when trying to navigate your way through with 2 suitcases and a pram. Check in took about 5 minutes, we were greeted with a nice gestured of Turkish delights, but that's where the hospitality of our welcome stopped, there was no assistance from any of the bell boys to help us with our cases or show us to our rooms, so we were left to our own devices. As the rooms are section into 3 different buildings we spent 10 minutes trying to find our room, although a lovely man called Antonio helped us find our room. We had just arrived as the snack bar was being cleared, I asked if we could quickly grab something and take it to our room, only to be met with a very stern and angry NO from the chef. I have to say this was not a very good start to our holiday and I was already beginning to regret our choice. The biggest disappointment for me was the food, it was very repetitive and everything just seemed to taste the same. The snack bar was the same every day for 14 days chips, chicken, pizza, burgers and plain pasta (which was absolutely tasteless). The fizzy drinks were great and always tasted fresh, however the alcohol itself was bland, I'm not a big drinker but I had to ask the barman to be generous with his measures as the drinks tasted very weak and there was very limited choice in what we could drink! The cocktails were not that great!! A child had an accident in the pool (number 2) 3 different staff members were informed of what had happen and were told the pool needed to be evacuated and cleaned, it was on the fourth attempted by another holiday maker who gave them a stern warning, before action was taken. I myself reported blood stains by the pool side where someone had clearly cut themselves, a cleaner came out with a very dirty mop which hadn't been changed since 1969 and just wiped it up!! Not very hygienic at all. The list is endless and I could go on and on and on. The toilets around the pool were disgusting and needed regular checks. The bars around the pools also smelt really bad to. However we made the most of our holiday and did really enjoy Marmaris and there was some good points to the hotel, such as the staff, they were friendly and nice and worked really hard, although in regards to the cleaning side of things there's always room for improvement. Now for me the best part of the hotel was the entertainment team. Those guys are AMAZING!!! QB was outstanding and so so funny, he always made us laugh and was never to busy to take the time to speak to you. Emmet was my favourite he was like a ray of sunshine, always smiling, singing and entertaining from morning to night. He was such a lovely, genuine guy. However the whole of the entertainment team was fantastic and for me those guys made our stay at the Blue Bay awesome. Will I stay at the Blue Bay again?? Unfortunately no, however I will be returning to Turkey next year, only difference is I won't be staying at this hotel. However I will miss not seeing the guys from the entertainment team!!!More

Jane S,

Great Hotel and Staff

Really enjoyed this hotel and for the money it was excellent value. Sure there are a few things you could correct and I am sure there are people that will moan about the odd bits but we thought it was clean, fun and great valueMore
