This contemporary hotel lines up a city-centre location, a private patch of Marmaris Beach, and great pool and dining scenes.
The Blue Bay Platinum is set in the centre of Marmaris, with shops and bars on the doorstep. The harbour and old town are a few minutes’ drive away, and you’ve got a private section of next-door Marmaris Beach.
The hotel’s not long had a full makeover, so everything’s really contemporary – especially the bedrooms, with their blonde-wood furniture, beach-scene wall murals and aqua accents.

Marmaris Luxury x
Late reviewing this lovely hotel. Decided to book a week of luxury at the last minute. Lovely double room with private balcony overlooking the ocean. Very friendly staff who speak good English and are quick to assist. Beach, marina and bazaar are very close and within easy staggering distance when you have sampled the strong alcohol and wines in the hotel! Very clean hotel. Only downside was the intermittent WIFI - but hey you are on holiday - get off your phones! Was travelling with friends and they had two twin rooms and a double like mine. Fabulous girly holiday and we would highly recommend. Must try the Taj Mahal again when in Marmaris â wow what a great place! More
Great Hotel, Not so great food
Just arrived home from our first stay at Blue Bay platinum and thought I would give an honest unbiased review. We arrived at the Hotel on Saturday the 6th May at 3am and was instantly amazed at how bright and clean the first glimpse of the Hotel was. The check in process was fairly quick and we were shown to our rooms within 30 minutes. I must say the pictures the travel agents have online and in their brochures are true to life. The hotel is clean, modern and bright. The rooms are very well sized and light and airy. The pools were always clean and we never had any issues getting a sun lounger. 99.9% of the staff were amazing, we always sat in one aisle in particular for our meals and after day 2 the waiter remembered the drinks we had the night before and placed them on our table without asking which we thought was lovely. Staff were also interacting well with the children at all times. The view and the area surrounding was lovely, the beach is a very brief walk and you can book your trips without having to go far at all. We found the atmosphere very pleasant with all different nationalities getting along. Now for the negative. If you are a fussy eater like myself then this probably isn't the hotel for you. The food got almost unbearable by day 3 and I was really struggling to find the enthusiasm to enter the main buffet restaurant for meals. Snack time meals were ok, the burgers were gross, cheap meat with horrible bits in and the fish was full of bones. I survived on pizza and chips and as you can imagine that got rather boring. The main buffet restaurant was great if you wanted salad as that was very fresh and had plenty on offer but everything else turned my stomach just looking at it. I only remember enjoying one meal at tea time and that was the lasagne but that was only on offer one of the days out of the 10 we were there. Fish had either bones in it or was heads and tails which some people like but personally it turned my stomach. Breakfast was ok but again it was very samey and little taste. Drinks were hit and miss, sometimes the cocktails were lacking alcohol other times they were very strong. 2 other small negatives were the sales people pushing the massages for 3 days we were trying to avoid them but they managed to catch us each time and eventually they gave up but it was annoying trying to get them to leave you alone. One other word is warning is Do not under any circumstances leave any money in your room that's not locked away. There is one maid that should not be trusted. We had put some money on the side towards a night out and she spotted it luckily while we were in the room. She seemed lovely all week until that one day when she asked us if it was her tip. After explaining it was for our night out her attitude changed and she became very moody. The next day my mom and her friend were In the room and heard the door knock, they had ignored it and had already put the do not disturb sign on yet heard the door open, it was the maid she had let herself in and seemed rather shocked to see them in the room and quickly left so weather she was hoping to see some money lying around we are not sure. All in all we had a great time and it was just the food and the maid that made me give this 4 out of 5 stars, 3 stars would be to harsh if I'm honest. I would definitely go back here if the food improved.More
Thoroughly Enjoyed It!!
First of all, I would like to make comment on the jewellers inside the hotel... BLUE BAY JEWELLERS. What a fantastic little shop with such welcoming and pleasant owners. Took advantage of the FREE jewellery cleaning service, I've never seen my gold bracelet shine so much after a daily wear of 7 years. I'm over the moon with my "Princess Diana" ring which was also cleaned, it looks like brand new! Will definitely be returning before I leave. Better quality here at a reasonable price, better than the UK!! Thank you so much! Overall the hotel was brilliant, the staff couldn't do anything else to improve our trip. Alison the Thompson Rep is a credit to the hotel and if you have any queries or questions please see her as she knows her stuff. The weather was glorious 9 times out of 10 with a heat of 25-35. The one disappointment was the wifi as it dips in and out depending where you are. I was purely using the wifi to keep in contact with family back home as this was my first time abroad on my own. Will definitely be returning to the hotel.More
This is such a friendly and relaxing place to stay. It has lost the Platinum status and there are a few cometic things needed doing. But what it lacks in minor things the staff make up for it. Was due to go to new york next year. But cancelled going back here for 2 week.xx. Fell in love with marmaris More
My second visit
I was a returning guest at this hotel at the beginning of April. I was hoping that this hotel would have improved since my last visit. The problems I experienced the last time however have not improved. No sink plug on arrival, room cleaning was very hit and miss with one day not being cleaned at all. This was a problem as I had dropped a glass on the floor in the morning. I had tried to clean it up as best I could but obviously there were still shards of glass around. I mentioned this to Michelle the Thomsons rep who went to reception to request that the glass be cleaned up. She was told that it would be done straight away. This never happened. Food wise I battled to find food that was to my taste. The AI drinks choice as previously was very limited. Michelle the Thomsons rep is a real asset to the hotel, she works very hard and is always going around asking the guests how they were enjoying their stay. I doubt I would stay here again. This hotel is at best a 3 starMore
