Club Candan

These popular apartments come with a big lagoon pool and a waterside restaurant. The beach is just down the road, too.

This place has a big lagoon pool that comes complete with a waterslide. On the dining front, there’s a poolside restaurant that hosts a Turkish night every week – expect barbecues and belly dancing.

It’s in a peaceful spot just a 10-minute walk from the middle of Marmaris. And the marina’s even closer. It’s also about a 10-minute stroll to the sand-and-shingle beach.

Outdoor pool

This is at the heart of the hotel and makes a great place for all the family with a large water slide into the pool at one end. There's a large sun terrace surrounding the pool with sunloungers and parasols. Right next to the main pool there's a kids' pool too.

Children's paddling pool

This is ideal for the younger kids, with colourful waterslides set into a circular pool, along with sunbeds for the grown ups.

For Families and Central

We stayed from the 4th July for two weeks. Overall the location was good as close to supermarkets, the beach and many restaurants. The rooms were clean and the cleaner attended every day, basic but grand. Hired the fan for £10 per week for the living room. The two ring hot plate didn't work in the room so we couldn't prepare any food for lunch or breakfast, really only had the use of a kettle and fridge. Our biggest issue which the they should address is that parents should take responsibility for their children as it got very noisy at nights as children were left free to run the property till all hours whilst their parents were obviously drinking, for this reason only would not stay at these apartments during July and August. It was difficult to get a sun bed at the pool as they were always taken yet on many occasions towels were placed on beds and the owners never showed until maybe 4pm in the day - wasted opportunity as the bed could have been used. Last year on a cruise the towels were removed after one hour if there was a no show, Music was loud at the pool but understandable. If I had small children with me they would have enjoyed the pool and entertainment. Did go to Curlys Hairdressers and enjoyed it - husband got a few shaves and hair cut, I got a few treatments and hair colour. Didn't eat at pool area as ate there first night and it wasn't great plus drink expensive. Due to the reviews of Summer Rain - did go there for food but waited an hour and a half so didn't go back - nothing special. Beside them is Villa Dream - great guys and good food, looked after us well, really friendly ask for Eddie. Also Queen Vic - nice staff and again food good. Would recommend for any holiday to explore - restaurants at the marina - high standard, went to Taj Mahal on 3 occasions - excellent 3 adults two courses with wine would be 69 lire each which was about £14. Fairly large Kippa (Tesco) Migros supermarkets 10 minutes walk, small supermarket at the end of the street good. Would recommend going to the local food market if you are interested in decent range of spices to bring home. Trips - went to Kevin at Azun Travel opposite the SOK supermarket, went on Jeep Safari - brilliant fun, Dalyan Turtle Beach - excellent, Local waterpark - life guards were excellent, Rhodes trip was worth the money. Also although the beach is poor as in gravel the many restaurants offer free sunbeds and you should time this with your lunch and then avail of free beds. Take the orange Dolumus to Icemeler worth a visit. Would certainly return to Marmaris but maybe in September.More

Nice Aparthotel

Nice pool area, rooms basic but clean, clean towels every day. Quite a walk from either harbour or centre(Blue Port area) Drinks at hotel are very exspensive compared to bars/reastaurants nearby, hence everyone buying from supermarket instead. Could sometimes be double what you would pay elsewhereMore

Another great visit

Second time to visit club Candan and this time we had a non poolview room C301, 2 bedroom apartment that overlooked the hotel next door. Room was a great size and was spotless on arrival and stayed that way due to the fantastic cleaners. Cookie( and honey) was back with his entertainment and as always had everyone enjoying themselves. We were B&B and to be fair the options of beans & toast, scrambled or fried egg with toast, and continental breakfast with tea/ coffee /juice were good & filling. we did try the english breakfast at 13 TL but was too much that early in the morning. We had lunch a few times and the Candan burger( 14 TL) was gorgeous as was the chicken wrap (13 TL). Drinks were slightly more expensive than outside hotel Efes 12 Tl, wine 16 TL and smirnoff ice 17 TL . Prices had increased this year overall by 3-5 TL in resort as a whole so bound to increas in hotel!!! A special mention to the kids club again this year, they never stop working hard to give the kids a fantastic time & to Mark the Thomsom Rep, he went above and beyond his duty and we were lucky to have him as the Rep ( normally not a fan of reps ) so thats high praise. Thank you Mark Hotel was spotlessly clean again and the staff are friendly and helpful. Overall Club Candan is a great choice with kids as its only 10 minutes to the centre of everything but quiet and relaxed at night. The bar this year did close just after 12 also which meant a good night sleep for everyone, especially pool view rooms. Loved club Candan again this year & we will return as soon as falcon put up flights from Dublin . The only complaint I have and its nothing to do with the hotel was that someone ( baby, kid, adult) not sure which decided to use the pool as a toilet & I Im not talking taking a pee, the staff dealt with with quickly but it did mean the pool was closed every day after it happened (3 days in total). The staff & even the reps decided to then do "poo duty" and it stopped. Not the hotels fault an they did handle the situation very well.More

We arrived late at night be careful because you can miss it when the driver calls it because it is pronounced jandan and it is not sign posted, sorted the rooms out which are basic but clean the bathroom is a good size but the pull out bed in the living room is not comfy be warned, we upgraded the tv for ten pound a week and also the air conditioning for the same price but you do get air conditioning in the bedroom for free, the maids are lovely and kept it very clean all the time I was there (they go in every day), we then went for a walk to look for something for the kids to eat (they are all open till gone twelve). In the morning went to the pool which is good (there is 3) kids pool, 90 centimetre then the big pool with the slide going in to it, then it all happened......we met cookie and Angel (the entertainment team) the speakers are very very loud and 1 is aimed at the kids pool, and cookie loves the microphone, there are pool games throughout the day (darts, pool, open the box, surfboard skipping etc), it is very hot in July so be warned lol, when you are by the pool you get the salesman coming round (curly is a not pushy hair stylist who is good beard trim cost 20lira, the photographer is ok 100 lira for five good size photos but the Turkish bath guy is very very pushy and jumps on you on day one we said not yet maybe tomorrow and he threw his toys out the pram and blamed us for wasting his time and walked off), the food and drinks served at the restaurant are a bit expensive so shop around breakfast in the hotel costs 12 lira not including drinks but a five minute walk you can go to summer rain and it costs 8 lira with a drink!!!!. The shop on site is also a bit on the expensive side but once again a couple of minutes in any direction you come across a corner shop. Hope this helps enjoy your stay.More
