Club Candan

These popular apartments come with a big lagoon pool and a waterside restaurant. The beach is just down the road, too.

This place has a big lagoon pool that comes complete with a waterslide. On the dining front, there’s a poolside restaurant that hosts a Turkish night every week – expect barbecues and belly dancing.

It’s in a peaceful spot just a 10-minute walk from the middle of Marmaris. And the marina’s even closer. It’s also about a 10-minute stroll to the sand-and-shingle beach.

Not what You expect

first impression is great, hotel looks great big pool with slide, everyone looks happy but then.. few days in to the holiday if you don't spend alot of money at the pool bar or tip them they totally neglect you, On the Turkish night myself and partner sat without a drink for a hour, a disabled boy behind us was blatenly ignored even when he was shouting excuse me. Honey is far to pushy, she was at the sunbed next to me trying to sell a couple entertainment t shirts, they had said they wernt interested but she was having none of it.. calling them bad parents and stingy as they didn't want to spent £10 on a t shirt! cleaners are ok i guess yea they keep the room clean and provide clean towels but when i got in my room went to sit at the dressing table i sliced my foot open on a piece of glass that had obviously been swept under out the way. pool boys have no emotion.. no wonder with the hours they work! When you arrive you have to pay another £15 for tv in your room, £10 per week for a fan basically they will charge you for everything. So if that hasnt put you off then this might...On our last day we had opened up our case down stair to get something out, one of the pool boys who the day before questioned me for a tip, offered to help us but never really he faffed about behind us little did we know he had stolen £70 out of my purse! Hotel has great facilities just not the staff to run it! The pool bar is expensive for tiny wee portions of food, don't have much variety either. night time entertainment not so good either, they have a few "shows" that last about 10 minutes each, a Turkish night with a BBQ which isn't really a BBQ is precooked food that is not nice at all, bland chicken rice and chips, melon for afterwords and at £10 a ticket its not worth the money as you can eat down the road for 50 lira would feed a family! An hour and a half bus journey from the airport with a stop in between which is just another money making scheme.More

Ok Hotel but Thompson drop the hard sell please

Not a bad hotel get what you pay for. Clean staff friendly and helpful. Main downside Thompsons, on the transfer to the hotel at 2 in the morning the rep spent more time trying to sell things to us than talking about the resort or offering helpful info. She also said the resort had a bad mosquito problem while trying to sell wrist bands. Didn't see a single bug the whole time we were there and quite frankly could have done without the hard sell when tired and just wanting to get to the hotel. On the way back to the airport we had to stop for 20 mins at a shopping centre so we could get refreshments! Again didn't need or want that just wanted to get to the airport. Not too impressed by the kids club either, seemed pretty anonymous compared to other resorts.More

Fun and good for the family

When I stayed I enjoyed the entertainment but not the sound of the church in the morning. The hotel was small but quite a nice size. Also the people there are kind. When I went there was a restaurant nearby called villa dreams and the people there are nice. We even made a friend called Eddie but he has left now. I hope you enjoy it like I did. HolidayHelper222. Just what we were looking for

Booked this hotel following recommendations from two separate couples last year and weren't disappointed. Beautifully clean rooms, reasonably equipped. Fantastic pool with slide, entertainment if you want it but no hassle if you don't. Good pool bar with special offers that change daily, well cooked food and large menu. There are those who complain about the sun loungers and I must admit I was apprehensive about this, I don't want to get up at silly o'clock to bag a bed but my husband got beds for us every day, fair enough he put towels out at 8.00am (you expect this abroad and have never not had to do it) and there were loads of towels out by this time, even some people but there were beds available after this and the pool boys will help if you are stuck. Have already booked again for next year. Brilliant kids club with wide variety of activities including tea parties, chocolate parties and games. Very safe and much appreciated as a break for both kids and parents. Beds hard though but that was the only complaint, excellent maid service, towels changed every 2/3 days and floors cleaned daily.More

Great family holiday

This hotel is in a perfect location for easy access to shops, beach and market. We came here as a family of 7 we had 2 rooms over looking the pool which were clean and spacious. We visited when it was Ramadan which meant we regularly got woken in the early hours. The hotel was very clean the staff were friendly and worked very hard. We especially enjoyed to pool entertainment team they worked hard to make it fun for everyone. Kids club were brilliant the worked hard to make it fun for the kids my daughter had lots of fun there. Food was ok but over priced! A must to try Turkish bath wow what a experience throughly enjoyed. Also reconvened at pedicure at curlys salon very relaxing. Overall great family holiday resort we would defiantly recommend and will be back in the future. More
