With two pools, a lively entertainment scene and a close-to-town setting, the family-run Albatros Apartments fire on all cylinders. The beach is within reach, too - it'll take about 15 minutes to walk there.
This place is in a really handy spot if you like to get out and about on holiday. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the centre of Marmaris, and the beach is roughly the same distance. Better still, if you don’t fancy the walk there’s a local bus that’ll get you there in around five minutes. Closer to the hotel, you’ll find a good choice of shops and restaurants.
The apartments themselves are divided between two blocks - each with a pool. At the main pool, suntrap terraces border the water, plus there's a splash pool for younger guests. Just a few steps away across the road, you’ll find the second, smaller pool, surrounded by orange trees and trailing vines, where the vibe is a lot quieter.
When it comes to food and drink, you’ve got a restaurant-come-bar by the main pool. It’s decked out with wicker chairs and serves drinks, snacks and meals all day long. For breakfast, expect all the usuals like cereals, pastries and fresh fruit. Lunch and dinner bring local specialities, as well as more familiar dishes like Sunday roasts. In the evenings, this place is the focus of the entertainment, too – think quizzes, karaoke and a weekly Turkish night.
As for the apartments, each one comes with one or two bedrooms. They’re all kitted out with understated colours, simple furniture and neat kitchenettes. Balconies, hairdryers and TVs are included, too.

Thanks to all the staff & friends we made at albatross app.Anna on reception,Brian,Vulcan, cleansing staff. We stayed here from 15th june to 26th 2015.We were made to feel very welcome & our every needs catered to.Rooms cleaned every day & beds changed as often as you need.Myself, partner & 4 kids had a great time & would recommend these self catering appartments to any1 who has a family. The rooms are basic but spotless.Food was lovely & you can order anything day or night. We didn,t get any hassle from the shops around the appartments but found it really annoying when you get to the beach front, lots of pushy people,it does seem to have got better though as the police seemed to be on top of the touters.I would go back to albatross in a minute, the only thing that would put me off is the flight & transfer time.IT is a full 10-12 hours travel from Glasgow, not so much fun when travelling with kids.We also booked our trips through billy at the corner of linekars bar & got a great deal,We got jeep safari, turkish baths, moonlight cruise &all inclusive boat trip, which were all brill. Thanks again to every1 at albatross.Mandy, matt ,Caitlin, conor kieran,& liam scullion xMore

Absolutely lovely, what appears to be a very well run, family business. No complaints at all food brilliant rooms clean and well maintained, entertainment every night for free, just a stones throw from all the bars and eating places Marmaris has to offer, and only 15 mins walk to the beach.More

We have just returned from spending a week here, we stayed in apartment block one, the apartment was absolutely fine, if you want five star apartments don't stay in a 3 star, beds were clean and comfy and the bathroom was clean, this is all we wanted as do not spend my holiday in the apartment. We hired the fans which was cheaper than the air con and done the same job. The swimming pool by the bar is very busy and noisy we used the pool in apartment block one. (Only because we were four adults with no children) The bar staff were really friendly especially Brian, the food was lovely there, especially the turkish night, we ate out 3 nights and not once was we made to feel uncomfortable by doing this, they will also change anything on the menu to cater for your needs, there is no need to buy shopping for preparing breakfast etc as the food there is so cheap not worth the hassle, the entertainment was good something every night. Plenty of shops locally, and for trips james marmaris which is right on the corner is the guy to go to, he also exchanges money at the top rate. Just a warning walking the sea front in the evenings up towards the marina is a nightmare with being hassled to go into their restuarants that is my only complaint of an otherwise brilliant holiday, I would definetley go back.More
Just returned from 10 days at the Albatros. It is a basic apartment block with the restaurant within the first block. Rooms are clean and spacious with separate bedroom.Beds comfortable. Aircon a godsend. Cooking has to be very, very basic as the one electric ring is a nightmare to cook on, To do a simple cooked breakfast took ages . However at £2.00 for a full cooked breakfast at any of the local restuarant/bars it is not worth doing anything in the kitchen . There is a full size fridge and plenty of small supermarkets in the local area for anything you need. Entertainment provided was good and entertaining. Staff go out of their way to help you and will even cook anything not on the menu. Food is good and freshly prepared. The pools in both blocks are deep at both ends 1.6/ 1.7 with a small childrens pool only in the main block so you need to be aware that there are no lifeguards. The location is about 100metres from the start of the local bars and the main beach/ shopping area is a short bus ride away. 2lira , about 50p allows you to travel anywhere on the bus. Going away from the hotel is another area of Marmaris with their own shops and resturants so get the bus in the opposite direction.Would we return ? most definately. The friendly staff and local people were a joy. Much less hassling by the traders so a pleasure to walk round the shops. Trips are best booked around the corner at James or ' Billy no mates' on the opposite corner. Same trips as Rep sells but 1/3rd of the price. Also reps selling mosquito bands on the bus from the airport £7.00 , these are in the local supermarkets £1.50 so get them there. My wife had no problems with mossies for the first time using these. Small garden in block 1 but needs tables and chairs to sit there. Plenty of sunbeds but still get the towel brigade going down early, why I don't know. The pool is in full sun all day.More
