This place is in a really handy spot if you like to get out and about on holiday. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the centre of Marmaris, and the beach is roughly the same distance. Better still, if you don’t fancy the walk there’s a local bus that’ll get you there in around five minutes. Closer to the hotel, you’ll find a good choice of shops and restaurants.
The apartments themselves are divided between two blocks - each with a pool. At the main pool, suntrap terraces border the water, plus there's a splash pool for younger guests. Just a few steps away across the road, you’ll find the second, smaller pool, surrounded by orange trees and trailing vines, where the vibe is a lot quieter.
When it comes to food and drink, you’ve got a restaurant-come-bar by the main pool. It’s decked out with wicker chairs and serves drinks, snacks and meals all day long. For breakfast, expect all the usuals like cereals, pastries and fresh fruit. Lunch and dinner bring local specialities, as well as more familiar dishes like Sunday roasts. In the evenings, this place is the focus of the entertainment, too – think quizzes, karaoke and a weekly Turkish night.
As for the apartments, each one comes with one or two bedrooms. They’re all kitted out with understated colours, simple furniture and neat kitchenettes. Balconies, hairdryers and TVs are included, too.

Either we stayed somewhere else or people expect 5* hotel at 2* prices
We were 2 teenagers and 2 over 60's in 2 separate one bedroom apartments, The youngsters room was next to the bar ours the other end of the hotel. We were all in the block with the reception. The rooms were clean and large. The only noise we had was from the all inclusive next door and we were there during Ramadan, We did not hear the Mosque at all, but we took earplugs in case we needed them as we know Muslims pray about every 4 hours day and night but we didn't. We loved the hotel, yes it's basic but I had no intention of spending my 2 weeks glued to a TV or sitting in the room, We went on a fantastic boat trip a few times, chilled by the pool and went on a couple of excursions. We ate most days and nights at the Albatros the food was lovely and fresh, it does take time to arrive but it had to be cooked and I don't think the chef used a microwave so it takes as long as it takes to do. The staff were absolutely fantastic polite, Bryan Ali,Vulcan,Obi (smiler) and Gamze worked so hard running the bar and restaurant. The reception staff did their job with efficiency and capability. Poppar was a lovely elderly man and his wife did the washing, it was hung on lines outside our room so I could see it was clean and white and although they spoke no English we had a smile and hello every day after we said hello the first time it was the same with the pool cleaner and the cleaners who did our room. No one who works there is a servant and respect goes both ways.More

Stayed here for a week in September 2013. We were in the main block on the first floor. The rooms were basic but fine, if anything it was spacious, more than enough room for three of us to live comfortably for a week. Quite close to the mosque so can be a little noisy but that’s to be expected in Turkey. The hotel has two swimming pools and plenty of sunbeds to go around. Shop just outside for any bits you need and lots of bars and restaurants just a few minutes’ walk away. Friendly and helpful staff, can’t do enough for you. Food was always good, Turkish night is a must. Frequent entertainment. You get what you pay for. We enjoyed our week at Albatros.More

This was sold to us as a 3 star family friendly accommodation, nothing could be further from the truth as this is a low 2 star at best and this is being kind and certainly not child friendly at all. The first room we were allocated was dirty , the toilet was disgusting, shower cubicle was cracked and broken and all the beds were broken and we had to share 2 single beds between 4 of us for the first 2 nights until we got moved into another room. This second room was slightly better not much though the only good thing was the bed were not broken but still dirty and disgusting as we found an old sock and a receipt for the local supermarket from the year before (we could read the date printed on the receipt) under one of the beds so clearly don't Clean under things just around them, We spent not only our own money but also time cleaning the room to get it to decent liveable standard. We also experienced staff fiscally fighting and arguing with guests, In the time we were there 2 groups of guests walked out and paid for accommodation at another hotel at there own expense and I wish I could have done the same but we had limited funds so could not afford to do this. There was 1 family who we know have also left a review on this site who walked out and went strait to the airport and flew back home because it was that bad, i could go on and on about how bad this place is as there is not much good to say about the Albatros. It's a shame really as Marmaras is a lovely place to go for a Holliday I would just stay well clear of this place,More

Worse time ever
I arrived at the albertros on monday the 9th of sept for a 14 day stay but flew home on the 13th sept... Our first family hoilday abroad and am upset to say i have been put of for life, the room was filthy, dirty bedding, dirty shower, broken plug sockets, blood on the walls, light fitting hanging of the celling, bar area smelly and dirty, workers rude and unclean, hench why we paid £900 to fly home 10 days early... The place would be closed down here in the uk... I am shocked that thomson are selling these hoildays...... More
Brilliant Staff. Average Hotel.Dirty Room.
The hotel is well situated in my opinion. Around 5mins walk to local shops, bars and restaurants. 15min walk to main town of Marmaris. 10 min walk to Tesco. Close enough for the amenities but far enough away to be quiet ish. The hotel itself it quite clean and tidy. The bar area and pool area are kept very clean. My only gripe was the cleanliness of our apartment. Dirt around the edges of the room. But the main problem was the what appeared to be a sick stain on the bed base!! and no attempt to cover it up ( a simple valance sheet would have hidden this from view ). Not, i suppose, too much of a problem as the beds were too uncomfortable to sleep on anyway so we slept on the much comfier sofa beds. Perhaps standards were slacking as it was the end of the season. In fact the apartments closed the day we left. Which brings me onto other issues. The TV in the room packed in on several occasions. Fixed at the beginning with no hesitation, but towards the end, the management seemed as if they didn't give a damn. The Bar and Restaurant began to run out of food and drink. Very limited drinks toward the end. Although we did see the staff running to the local shop to buy a couple of drink items. Problem with that was they were charging DOUBLE the price they had just payed at the shop 2 min ago. The last morning i ordered a full English breakfast- for it to arrive with NO BACON!!!! Bar staff absolutely brill. Quick mention to Volcan, Bryan (with a y), and Ali. I my opinion they made it a better place to stay. Very attentive and entertaining. Would i go back? Maybe at the beginning of the season. But certainly not at the end.More
