With two pools, a lively entertainment scene and a close-to-town setting, the family-run Albatros Apartments fire on all cylinders. The beach is within reach, too - it'll take about 15 minutes to walk there.
This place is in a really handy spot if you like to get out and about on holiday. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the centre of Marmaris, and the beach is roughly the same distance. Better still, if you don’t fancy the walk there’s a local bus that’ll get you there in around five minutes. Closer to the hotel, you’ll find a good choice of shops and restaurants.
The apartments themselves are divided between two blocks - each with a pool. At the main pool, suntrap terraces border the water, plus there's a splash pool for younger guests. Just a few steps away across the road, you’ll find the second, smaller pool, surrounded by orange trees and trailing vines, where the vibe is a lot quieter.
When it comes to food and drink, you’ve got a restaurant-come-bar by the main pool. It’s decked out with wicker chairs and serves drinks, snacks and meals all day long. For breakfast, expect all the usuals like cereals, pastries and fresh fruit. Lunch and dinner bring local specialities, as well as more familiar dishes like Sunday roasts. In the evenings, this place is the focus of the entertainment, too – think quizzes, karaoke and a weekly Turkish night.
As for the apartments, each one comes with one or two bedrooms. They’re all kitted out with understated colours, simple furniture and neat kitchenettes. Balconies, hairdryers and TVs are included, too.

Fantastic stay once again!!
This is the fifth year in a row my family have stayed at the Albatros! We will be back next year!! Fantastic holiday, great service and great friends seen again. The staff were, as always, helpful and accommodating!! We chose to eat out a lot but the staff were always happy to see us on our return! Great services on offer also, however there was no services rammed down your throat, the choice was yours!! Definitely be back again next year!!More
Just returned from a 2 week family holiday... We enjoyed our time at the Albatros. The location is good as it isn't in the heart of Marmaris but is a short bus ride away... Lots of local, decent restaurants offering good prices.. The apartments are a fair reflection for the price that you pay but they are a little tired! They are cleaned regularly and it is a great base for your holiday needs... The staff are very friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them! It is a family run business, with all hands on deck in the busy periods... The lady on reception is so lovely, it made our morning seeing her chirpy face... Would recommend to any family on a budget More

First holiday abroad
After reading other reviews on here I was very apprehensive to what i would find when arriving. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcom which continued throughout our stay. The staff could not do enough for you from the cleaners to the bar staff. My mum was unwell whilst we stayed and all the staff were wonderful in helping us and ensuring she received the best care. I enjoyed every moment of my stay in this hotel and will definetly return as have most guests who have visited.More
Myself and my wife were looking forward to staying at the Albatros Apartments after reading the reviews on here. It just shows don't believe everything you read. We were given the annex apts across the road.To say the apts were outdated is an understatement 1980's decor. The bed sheeting was stained, floors were very dirty especially the Towels they need replacing liked drying yourself with white sandpaper, just really run into the ground sort of place! Anyway we went to the pool below our balcony and to be honest the sun beds were dirty the general area around the pool was very worn and neglected.Which is a pity that the owners imho have neglected this side of the apts and let it get to such a state. On our first day whilst trying to relax on the sun beds, Albatros apartment staff were queuing up and offering us a range of services from food, drinks massages, manicure, haircuts and last but not least a shave! This was on our first day!. We have visited Turkey on many occasions so we knew what to expect after all they are running a business but it was a bit excessive we were trying to relax. As our kids do not holiday with us anymore we choose to go self catering now,as the choice of the restaurants in and around Marmaris are outstanding. Well after a couple of days dining out for Lunch,Dinner the staff at the Albatros totally ignored us!! Even though we had paid to stay at the "self catering" apts. So we made the choice to stay within the apts one evening as they had entertainment a Micheal Jackson imposter to be honest who danced for 10 mins then offered his hat for tips!. The worst part of these Apartments were the staff using the same pool to refresh themselves as the holiday makers and the Apartment owners renting out what looks like a little house at the back of the annex whose occupants also used the pool which we found a little disturbing especially the day they brought back two young English girls to join them in the pool was very awkward to say the least. There are alot more things we didn't like.I mean ALOT. Btw we were not stupid we didn't expect world class apartments for what we paid. The Albatros just felt seedy and rundown which was a shame as it has loads of potential. It did not put us off our Holiday we love Turkey but would not return to the Albatros apartments. More
