Samira Resort Hotel and Apartments

Set on a hilltop overlooking a pretty harbour town, the Samira Deluxe Hotel and Apartments have clinched a great location. This place is in a really scenic spot. It’s at the top of a hill overlooking the town of Kalkan, so you’ve got sweeping views in every direction. Plus, it’s a 15-minute walk downhill to a really pretty harbour, where you’ll find a cluster of restaurants and a pebbly beach.

In terms of accommodation, you can choose between traditional apartments and a newly built hotel. The apartments are really rustic-looking, with thick gold drapes and cosy rugs. They have separate bedrooms and lounge areas, so there’s plenty of space to spread out. And they all come with fully-equipped kitchenettes – perfect for rustling up light bites.

Just across the road, meanwhile, you’ll find the hotel. Rooms here are modern and fresh, and some of them come with a sea view.

For everything else, it’s a case of heading back across the road to the apartments. This is where you’ll find the shared restaurant, which serves up everything from full English breakfasts - for a charge - to traditional Turkish dinners. And it’s also where you’ll find the pool, a big rectangular number set into a wide terrace. There’s a separate section for children, as well as a playground nearby, too.
