Very disappointed...not worthy of its prices at all!
On arrival the hotel looked good as the bedrooms are fine and the beds very comfortable...the cleanliness and housekeeping were excellent. That was the best thing about it. The air conditioning was more or less non existent in the lobby or communal areas, the staff in the bar were very brusque and unfriendly but to be fair there was maximum 1 or 2 staff on no matter how busy they were or how many people were waiting and a very poor form of queuing. The restaurant was too hot mostly and the food was poor......there was never any meat at nights only chicken for 5 nights in a row and there was no fresh bread only packaged bread. Lots of cakes and puddings but for days there was no melon or bananas or strawberries. The staff here were not giving attention to detail and the tables were often not cleared for too long and the stains on table covers were left unattended. There were flies landing on a lot of the food which is very off putting. The food tended to be luke warm and I understand that it is difficult to cook for so many but have been at other hotels in the area that have been far better and cost less money. The internet was very random...it was easy to get on the beach but non existent in the rooms...bizarre! The beach was supposed to be private but at weekends it was full of Turks who were locals and not residents in the hotel. The staff in the restaurant were very poor and most of them do not speak good English if at all. The final insult was the supposed courtesy room which was actually 2 small shower rooms and was outside in the pool area with no air conditioning and now towels offered! Would definitely not go back.More
Fab hotel :)
This hotel is amazing. Please dont confuse it with the munamar resort just a few meters up on the same road as that hotel is completely seperate and doesnt have many great reviews. The munamar hotel is right on the beach front with its own private beach area just for munamar guests which is great. You can prebook to have one of the four-poster beds with matresses if you wish. We didnt as there were plenty of sunbeds to go around. The pool area is lovely and clean however they did run out of sunbeds for everyone as the afternoon went on. If you want a sunbed round the pool then i would recommend putting towels out before going for breakfast. The rooms were spotless and extremely comfortable and towels and bed linen were changed regularly. The food was great and there was plenty of choice but got slightly repetitive towards the end of the week. The waiting staff were great and always greeted you as you entered the restaurant. The only downside I would say about the hotel is the balcony sizes at the back are very small and could only fit 1 or 2 chairs on, and the also the entertainment at night wasnt great. Id definately recommend going out of the hotel for an evening meal during your stay and also at different bars to sample the array of cocktails/ food that icmeler has to offer. I would 100% go back to this hotel however I prefer eating out whilst in Turkey so would stay self catering next time.More

ENJOYABLE FAMILY HOLIDAY AT MUNAMAR
We have just holidayed at Munamar Beach Hotel in late June / start of July. In our party were 6 adults ( one in wheelchair). Before departure we had read an awful amount of negatives about this hotel, but found that this was NOT the case. Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful and were only too pleased to accommodate our needs. The rooms were very spacious and clean and would advise paying the extra to have sea views which were outstanding, even on the lower levels. The cleaners did an excellent job of cleaning the rooms daily, and were very courteous, with clean bath towels every day. We all found the food at the restaurant to be very enjoyable, with plenty of choice to please all, and was always well cooked. We would like to thank the lovely TANER in the hair salon, who was very helpful to our mother in a wheelchair, and his Manicure, pedicure and expertise in hair styling was well worth the money, and would highly recommend a visit. The girls in our party also recommended the massages, which were very good value for money and were organised by BULENT. Puna was excellent with her massages. The hotel also had a good night time activity programme, with acts every night apart from Monday. There were ample poolside loungers available every morning, and poolside towels and the poolside bar was efficiently run. Over all we had a really pleasant stay at the Munamar and are hoping to return in 2016. We would recommend this hotel for disability purposes, as it is flat, the lifts are good, and plenty of ramps for wheel chair access. Hudson Family / Birmingham.More

Hotel on the downward slope
This was our third visit to the Munamar in the last four years, the first excellent, the second it had declined slightly, this was mainly due to the changes in Icmeler and not the hotel I wish to add. This year was no comparison mainly due to the comments of most of this years reviews regarding the bar and bar staff. PLUS POINTS Elif the OP's manager would go out of her way to assist you in any way. Taner the hairdresser is well worth a visit, the wife and sister in law went 3 times and he does a first class job. I visited Bulent the barber and he was the same excellent. Ahmet one of the barmen was the pick of them all he attempted to make conversation while all the others just ignored you. The rooms were kept spotless throughout our stay compliments to the housekeeping staff. Last year in the restaurant there was wine waiters this year they had vanished so you had to queue for a drink if you wanted one with your meal. The Italian Al a carte was a shadow of what it was last year and very poor food. The hotel is situated in an ideal position for all amenities, beach, shops, bars and restaurants etc. Food in the restaurant is ample with plenty of choice MINUS POINTS The main problem was with the bar and entertainment, I'll start with the bar first if Speedy the Bar Manager is as experienced as he says he is with a few modifications this bar could be run efficiently as any anywhere in the world there is three sides to the bar and you can only get drinks at the front by using two sides and using one for waiter service and the other for self service it would be far better for all concerned. Chris's sole aim in the evenings was to attempt to get you to buy cocktails by chatting away once you said no you could not get a word out of him. Waiters collecting glasses and taking them to be washed and then coming back out with an empty tray when this could be filled with drinks. The measures were very small and drowned with mixers unless you basically demanded that more spirits were put in the glass. The local beer is Efes but there must be two types because the beer you get in the bars outside the hotel is a far better quality than that in the hotel. Furken is one of the most arrogant barmen that I have come across, cocky, ignorant, forgetful, you order two drinks get the first one and most times he asks what the second one was.The entertainment is something else only one good group the rest is very poor, when Thomsons ran it it was poor, this is now worse. Would we use the hotel again I think not as there are better hotels at a lesser price and we paid £300 less than a lot of other people on the same two weeks.More
