The stylish decor in this suite is complementary to the location - It's modern and sophisticated with accents of colour. Sleeping up to 4 people there's a double bedroom, 1 child bed in the bedroom and 1 child bed in the lounge. You'll have lots of facilities in your suite too - there's a minibar, satellite TV and safety deposit box. Air-conditioning is centrally controlled and you'll also have Wi-Fi. Just so you know the image shown is the planned appearance for summer 2015.
Welcoming reception on arrival for our fortnightly stay in an ADULT/COUPLES ONLY Establishment and the porter was friendly taking us to our room on the fourth floor over looking the pool.
ROOM - This was fantastic, although we did have a broken toilet seat on arrival and after three days of pestering at reception it was finally repaired. The room was spotless with excellent air conditioning and the maid who cleaned every day was excellent and we were greeted with swans, hearts and an assortment of flowers and petals ever day.
RESTAURANT - We went for breakfast on our first day and I have to say the omelettes are very nice if you like them. My husband normally eats anything and everything but when going to butter some bread it was like water and smelt of off cheese and the milk was also the same. On talking to others they were also experiencing the same thing. Meals were cold and eventually we ate out. There are lots of local restaurants and the steaks are amazing and if you are looking for an English breakfast just nip to the Pig and Whistle across the road, facing the entrance to reception and you get a great breakfast for 8.50 Lira.
We did try the Italian Al La Carte and we were served lovely hot food, so this is highly recommended.
POOL/BEACH - Both these amenities were hugely a big let down as the internet and brochure photographs did these massive amounts of justice. The pool is much smaller than expected and although staff walked round clearing bottles and plastic cups up from the pool side the actual cleanliness of the pools was extremely poor. A sample was taken each day and as we over looked the pool I saw only once a cup of solution/treatment being poured into the large pool and not the smaller one.
The pool bar was good and clean. You could even get burgers, chips and salad here especially if you had missed breakfast.
The beach is not completely private and you do get the locals using the beach.
My husbands pet hate to the hotel was that the only toilet facilities was in the lobby and this was to be used by everyone from the pool, restaurant, bar and beach. The ladies was cleaned regularly by young men to the degree that you got your toes tickled by a mop whilst doing your business.
Sometimes it is you that makes your holiday good, we met some fabulous friends and did some wonderful excursions, this made our holiday much better as this was our first holiday without our children and expected a lot more. We met the holiday rep and she even said to us that we had come down a peg or two from our last hotel we had stayed in to staying in this establishment which shocked us as they were both supposed to be 5*. On comparison we obviously found this not to be the case with the Munamar being 3* and being falsely advertised as an adults only hotel. There were families there with children aged 13/14 upwards and this is not what we paid for.
There is a lovely, bubbly Russian lady who does the entertainment of an evening and also does aqua in the pool everyday. Do feel free to join in as she does make you very welcome. I was the only British person along side many Russians doing this. A lot of people presume its for the Russians but just join in.
I asked the rep 'what do Thompsons put on for us? and the answer was simply NOTHING.
Drinks are all local spirits and beers. You can ask for a vodka or rum cocktail but all the other cocktails are charged. I cant drink fizzy drinks so I asked for a vodka with fresh orange and was told that would be 7 Lira....needless to say we purchased fresh orange from the local supermarket.
We would not stay at this establishment again and please be careful when booking as and adult/couple as the Rep told us that the hotel owners had even carved the couple of the sign at the entrance of the hotel and it is clearly visible that this has been done.More

Lovely hotel in an amazing setting!
We came to this hotel 3 years ago and loved it so booked again this year. We were concerned about the reviews this year but have had an absolutely fantastic holiday. We booked a junior suite with a sea view which was huge, very clean with an amazing shower. The air-conditioning is very effective and essential due to the heat. There is a wide range of foods, very fresh yoghurts, salads, bread, pancakes, omelettes, fish, lamb, beef, chicken and the sweets are gorgeous!. Some people complained that there was no bacon or sausages but it is a Muslim country so please consider that. If you want an English Breakfast the cafes sell them very cheaply but personally if I wanted that i;d go to Blackpool! There were no problems with the bar, if you want a bigger measure just ask and they will give you more. Chris does try to sell you Cocktails, but that's his job, if you don't want one just say 'no thanks'. He was great fun as were many of the waiters. If you smile and talk to them they will do all they can for you. The pool bar provides burgers, chips, salads etc all day but you can have a wider choice in the restaurant. Tony from 'Ruby' jewellers is great and his jewellery is fantastic!. The maids kept our food very tidy with lovely swans, hearts etc made from the towels every day. The pool area is very peaceful and a great place to meet new people as you cool off. We met some lovely people, particularly Emily and Stewart, Sally and Amy,Chloe and Gemma. The resort has everything you need, a great choice of shops and good restaurants. Try 'Richards', Champagne Bar, Taj Mahal, but there are many other good places. Plenty of water sports on the beach and boats trips you can book for about £15.00 each which is great value. Try the Turkish Baths and massages they are out of this world with a very professional service. There are a lot of Russians about and they can appear rude and not understand the queuing system but just stand your ground and the bar staff will put them straight. Just go to the Munanar and have a fantastic time in great surroundings and be prepared to put on a few pounds!!!More

Clean, tidy hotel in a great location!
Arrived back from the Munamar on Tuesday, when we arrived check in was fast & efficient, if not over friendly, however, we had our bags taken to our room and showed the way by the porter. Rooms spacious, clean and tidy with full air con that stays on all the time. Hotel in in a prime location, right on the beachfront, near to shops and bars but far enough away not to be noisy. We were all inclusive and I sincerely believe that the food and choice of food leaves a lot to be desired! We went for breakfast once during our stay, and then ate out for the evenings, simply to get some proper food. The A la Carte meal was also disgusting (which is part of your all inclusive package once per week!). It's not overruled with Russians, however, they are there and portray their reputable arrogance as expected! Pool area clean and tidy, staff constantly emptying ash trays and rubbish bins, plenty of sun beds everyday. Rooms were cleaned everyday with towel arrangements left on the beds daily which was special. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the only downside was the food.More

Our first all inclusive holiday
We arrived at 6am the welcoming wasn't very good. A young man was at the desk (joey essex) he gave us the keys and told us our room number and that was that, no effort to direct us to room/lift. As we found the lifts and the right floor our keys didn't work, i was very annoyed and tired from our journey! And had to return to the reception to explain we couldn't get in the room. When we eventually got in we didn't have time to look around as we had to go straight to bed for 2 hours then get up to go to rep meeting at 10am!
The room is the best we've had very cosy, clean and well equipped. Free air conditioning which was constantly running and free wifi but limited signal. The view was decent, was able to see the pool. The bathroom was clean, nice shower area although the water pressure was poor. All in all we were very happy with the rooms. Maids came every morning and created lovely towel arrangements on the bed which was a nice touch.
The hotel was situated at the end of the beach not far from the strip and near bus stops.
The pool was a nice size with a small jacuzzi which was never switched on! new sun lounger and lovely super king sheltered beds, which could be hard to get hold of as they get reserved quite early. We managed to get one later in the day which was nice to have a little snooze. The pool area is nice and relaxing although the locals can be quite noisy around 4pm beeping horns!. The music was poor and annoying after a few days, towards the weekend a few recent up to date english songs got played which was nice but then went back to the others. I found the pool to be well kept and cleaned regular.
The food area was very warm and stuffy which could benefit from some air conditioning. Breakfast was poor, we never made early breakfast as we enjoyed our sleep. Not much choice they had the usual cereals with warm milk, fruit which didn't look appealing, croissants and bread. I feel there wasn't much variety for english breakfast no bacon, sausage just egg (fried, scrambled and boiled) and baked beans which were very hard. Butter was just in sachets in a bowl melting, could do with been in a bowl of ice or in a fridge!
We usually waited for the pool food at 11 which was mostly the same
Burgers, chicken nuggets, cheese pittas, chips n salad.
Tea time was very repetitive. Good variety of salad(which i had everyday), bread, pasta, chips and some meats. The warm food was just chicken, fish and lamb and a few veg. We didn't bother booking our free al a cart meal as we heard bad reviews and it was a farce to book! 10.30-11.30 except saturday which is when we went!
The desert weren't labelled so we played a guessing game every day most of them melting in the heat. Only had ice cream one night!
We saw some of the entertainment which wasn't too bad. It was hard to find a seat most nights but the lovely cocktail waiter tried his best to get us a seat with a good view. The bar was full of arrogant Russians skipping the queue at the bar!!!!
On our final night we checked out of our room at 12pm as told to as we were getting picked up at 22.15. We asked if we could have our room until 6pm but there was a charge of £35! Alternatively there were two small changing rooms available which we used to get showered and ready to spend our final night free of charge. The room wasn't air conditioned so they were very sweaty but the shower had better water pressure than our room!
To sum up, we believe it wasn't worth the money we paid but we had a nice time but will not be returning to Turkey as we have had better holidays elsewhere.More
3-star money = 3 star experience
Firstly, I can't escape from the fact that we added 7 nts at the Munamar, onto a cruise, at a very reasonable price thus this review will always have a slight leaning towards the fact we got good value for money.
The good bits:
- rooms are very large and pretty clean with excellent air-conditioning and a nice sized bathroom.
-Judging from the number of saddos who spent most their holiday in the lobby, the Wi-Fi was clearly adequate.
-The gym is fairly well equipped if your inclined to spend an hour sweating off the previous day's excesses (though no treadmills, free weights or water machine)
-The location cannot be beaten. A few steps from the beach, shops and restaurants but a few minutes from the main drag meaning we experienced no noise pollution.
-The service is friendly enough, not the shocking standard we were expecting given the previous reviews however it was quiet when we were there.
- there were plenty of loungers on the beach and by the pool; also the pool was a good size (if a little small) and not heavily chlorinated.
The less-good bits:
-It is a bit 'grubby'. Carpet stained in room, paint mismatched, not very tidy around pool area (bird drippings, ashtrays overflowing, cups not collected etc.
-the shower looks lovely and has an enormous shower head but most of the time is completely useless with little or no water pressure.
- the frequent disingenuous hassling to buy cocktails have a Turkish bath or get photos does become a little irksome unfortunately it requires a fairly straight refusal and request not to be bothered again.
- the food is an uninspiring, certainly by the second or third day typically the same stuff reheated and generally lukewarm at best and pretty bland. Leaving the yoghurt and milk to reach room temperature is just a no no. To save money we generally have breakfast and some salad for lunch in the hotel but in all honesty we didn't look forward to a couple of evenings we ended up eating there. It was difficult to book the ala carte restaurant with only 1 hour per day available to make reservations that it seems we dodged a bullet as word of mouth suggested it was not good.
- after plenty of excess on the cruise we didn't drink a great deal of alcohol however the spirits for example in vodka and Coke or vodka and tonic where a little odd tasting and many guests actually bought their own at additional cost many times I heard guests got to The Hangover but not the tipsyness.
- most of the other guests are Russian with a few Brits and Turkish thrown in. Although I don't go on holiday to spend it with speaking with strangers at the risk of sounding a little xenophobic the Russians were certainly hard to get even and acknowledging nod out of. I can see why many believe them to be ignorant and arrogant as that was our experience for the most part.
This hotel is rated 5 star by the Turkish tourist board and 4 star by Thomson there is no way on earth this is a 5 or even a 4 star establishment facilities service and environment range from 2 Star to 4 star placing it as a firm 3 star in my eyes.More
