Excellent stay - Wonderful Staff

I have just returned from a week's stay at this lovely hotel. The rooms are modern and very clean and the public areas are spotless. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. We had a great room (325) with a sea view which is worth paying for. The food is good, although could be warmer. Overall an excellent hotel and would recommend.More

OUR MUNAMAR EXPERIENCE

We spent two weeks at the Munamar hotel from the 14/10/14 to 28/10/14 our only holiday this year. Our rooms were spacious clean and nice, the cleaning staff were excellence. the pool area needed renovating loose tiles. Pool bar staff were not at all helpful on our first week and was caught playing with himself by my partner changed staff for second week a lot better .Had a lot of issues with the restaurant everything was cold greasy not appetizing, complained about food being cold the manager told me to put it in the microwave the microwave was filthy showed the manager he said other people use it so its bound to get dirty. My partner and I started to go out for our meals, all inclusive we paid forMore

Loved Every Minute :)

me & my partner recently came back from here. Overall I loved everything. Staff are so friendly helpful & fair play to them working such long hours. Loved the fact it's an adults only hotel even though I do like kids needed a break due to working with them & having a big family. The rooms were spacious, cleaned everyday by our maid fadime she was lovely & always made something pretty with our towels. The bed was comfy, loved the fact it had a quilt & not lots of blankets/sheets. I had to ask for extra pillows as there was only one each & made kept them in there throughout our duration. The shower was big loved the little magnifying mirror on wall. Loved the fact we had a kettle cups were too small for my liking as I love my tea & I was a bit annoyed that there wasn't any milk only powdered which I didn't like so I went & brought milk from a supermarket nearby. Was cheap enough so didn't bother me that much (2 carltons lasted me 1 for each week) my partner loved the air con but it kept on leaking onto our balcony which I didn't like as there could of been an accident. There was a small drain nut had to place a chair a certain way so the water went in it. We had sea view which was beautiful balcony could of been a little bigger but didn't bother me much as was just enough space to sit enjoy a cuppa looking at the views. The hotel was always clean the pool was clean, could do with more bins by pool & at the beach. The beach wasn't as sandy as I thought it would of been. Lots of little stones on it which I wasn't fond of but still went there several times & the beach could of done with flower pots or small bins by sunbeds so people could put bottles & cigarette butts in as they just through them in the floor (I don't smoke) & I didn't realise that we could only sit in a certain area on the beach until a member of staff said he collected money possibly from another hotel but loved the fact our sunbeds were free & had free towels & changed them everyday. The food was absolutely delicious! Couldn't get enough of it. A little repetitive at times but something slightly different every night. Didn't like the puddings much but me & my partner had fun trying them. We did eat out a few times during our stay to explore & see the different variety icmeler gave & cus we didnt like doing the same thing every night. (Same here in uk though) I like that you had self serve for tea & fruit juice. I think the dress code signs need to be changed as the picture was of a t shirt & shorts it needs to have a picture of a bikini or swimming trucks as I got confused of the dress code. The entertainment was average at the hotel enjoyable at times but music seemed repetitive but went out some evenings to explore different bars & entrainment which I loved as they was so close by as I cannot walk long distance. We made a few friends during our stay people on holiday & staff which was nice. I loved the fact there was loads of excursions too! Right outside the hotel was an excursion place a man called marco he was ever so friendly & helped us book them & explained what we would be doing & shown us pictures & I loved that they would pick us up from the hotel & take us back! We had to get a relative to spend us more money as there was loads to do. We will know for next time! Not many places accepted travel cards only cash so had to keep getting money out which was a shame as I thought they would. Everything was so cheap brought lots of presents for family & ourselves clothes are good quality even if they are fake which the bloke we went to twice admitted & was very helpful in finding the right sizes took them out the packets & let us try them on to make sure they fit. Overall I loved my 1st trip to Turkey even my partner did definetly better then we was expecting! Will definitely return in the future! I hope my feedback helps for those who are looking to go & for the hotel to overcome & improve my cons. Thank you for making our holiday one to remember :DMore

lilpinkbaby89,

GOOD POSITION .... IF ONLY

Mum and I stayed at this hotel from 22nd September till October 6th. We had a lovely holiday some very nice people but I do think think hotel needs a major rethink. We paid quite a lot of money over £2000 granted we had sea view, private transfer etc but we were above the bar on the fourth floor we had no choice but have late nights the music went on in Caravelle bar till the very early hours one morning it was 5.30 am so definitely ask for room away from the entertainment. Then we had maid knocking on door at 8.30 am. Our room had a very leaky shower y mum quite elderly so I took a towel off the maids trolley as I had used ours to mop the floor. Only to be more or less accused of pinching a towel. By the way would be quite annoyed if I had found them very thread bear. The floor was filthy with green algae or something very dirty. After mentioning to guest relations we were allowed another floor mat to soak up th very wet floor. We had no problems with the food, always managed to find something but the waste of food that people do not eat or for some reason take out of the restaurant I saw some one with 10 oranges and whole bunch of grapes. The dress code is disgusting there are signs saying no shorts or swimsuits in restaurant but people do not understand. Balcony very small air conditioning leaked onto balcony which was also very wet. Rooms on 5th floor look better but these seem to be allocated to the Russian guests who I must say if you smile they do smile back. Feel so sorry for the staff three waiters and one waitress in Restaurant they work very long hours they must be shattered, We even got asked if we could get some food for them as they were not allowed . Same with bar staff. I know it was nearly the end of season but I do think they do need more staff to cater for all especially if still at work till 5 am., Ipurchased a bouquet of flowers for my mums birthday they got removed from room after one week by the maid. They cost me £45 no way were they dead. The beach although supposed to be blue flag, was full of cigarette ends even though they do provide bins. Pool area was full of insects due to food being left. Floor very dirty, did not use pool. I realize its the end of season but the whole place needs a good clean the stairs were terrible. On the good side NO CHILDREN, excellent location, Nice promenade to walk good bus service. Water taxi to Marmaris very reasonable. Feel like a real moaner but its a shame the whole hotel could be tons better.More

Nice room but poor food

stayed at this hotel from 29 th sept to 6th of October to to say we were disappointed would be an understatement the rooms were nice and kept clean the maid did a good job but that is the only positive thing I can say about this hotel .The loungers and tables around the Pool and the beech were dirty and the pool had a greasy mark around it the communal areas were unkept and there was an awful smell from the bar area .The food although there was plenty of choice was just in so warm and inedible which was a shame at breakfast fried eggs had been there a good half hour and when I asked for a fresh one the cook was reluctant to fry one at lunch we ate salad and we had to eat out of an evening which when you have paid for all inclusive was a let down just a good job we had a little spare cash so we could eat out .I realise that it was nearing the end of the season but we paid for a 4 star and it was a poor 3 star but Icmeler still amazing views.More
