Stay at Munamar Hotel
My Boyfriend and I have just returned from a fantastic trip to the Munamar Hotel in Icmeler. After booking this hotel back in January I had come on to look at some reviews. A lot were very disappointing and were not making the hotel seem like a very pleasant place to stay which was making me look out for a few things on my arrival which I could not pin point. After arriving at the hotel at around 2am we were pleasantly greeted by the hotel reception staff and it was a very quick check in process as we were very tired from the journey we just wanted to go to bed. On going to the rooms we were surprised at home spacious and modern the rooms were. We had asked at reception if we could have extra pillows and another sheet and the maid had placed it on the bed for us arriving back at the hotel that evening. The only thing I would say is that the balcony is very small. We had got up early on our first dayas we were unsure if we would need to lay towels down around the pool. To our surprise this was not the case and you were still able to go to the pool around 11am-12pm and there were still sun beds available which is great because you can get that little extra lie in. Most around the pool were very friendly. At the time we were there, there was a lot of British couples which we were surprised at but we made a lot of friends and everyone seemed to get on really well which made the holiday. We are 21 and 22 and we found that the average age was probably around 25-30. My boyfriend and I both thought that the food at the hotel was great. I am not the best when it comes to eating as I am quite fussy but there were always several choices that I could eat and I did not find it difficult to choose something that I liked. Most of the hotel waiting staff are very helpful and would go the extra mile to help. I have to agree though we did not eat anything at the pool bar as it did not look too appetizing. The bar at the front of the hotel was very relaxing, we sat there almost every night before going out and the staff at this bar were amazing always making sure that you had enough to drink. Overall we had an amazing stay and met some friends that we never will forget and hope to keep in touch with. If I was ever to return to icmeler I definitely would stay at the Munamar Hotel and would recommend it to friends and family. P.s If you ever fancy a change I would highly recommend Coco Beach Restaurant which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. We had a lovely meal there twice on our stay and it is not expensive.More

My husband and I went to the Munamar beach hotel after a weeks cruise for three day earlier this year I tried to change this hotel after all the negative reviews but I was so glad that I was unable to change the hotel it is in a great location the room was spotless and the staff and food was good so there is nothing to worry about would definitely return if we go back to TurkeyMore

Just returned from Munamar stay
This was our 6th time staying in Icmeler and must say this is the worst hotel we have stayed at. The rooms were very nice and clean however the room was stated as having wifi which it barely did, we could hardly pick up the signal. 1 night during our stay as we were getting ready to go for dinner we had a chap on the door from a maintenance employee telling us we had a leak coming from our shower going to the room below us, which wasn't a problem so we let the guy in to have a look, this then resulted in numerous members of staff going back and forward from our room for the next hour and a half then to be told we couldn't use our shower that night, baring in mind my husband still had to get cleaned up after sweating all day, we then contacted Reception and spoke with the manager to be told we could use the showers at the swimming pool, eventually we told them to forget it and we would use a couple which we knew shower, the Thomson rep was also very unhelpful with this and seemed uninterested despite the fact we paid a lot of money for our holiday and seemed to avoid us for the rest of the holiday. The food was average and was repeated through out the holiday and we ended up eating out quite a few times, the only word I can use to describe the snacks is disgusting, as burgers were at times cooked in the morning and left for several hours, when staff were asked if a fresh batch could be made they just shrugged their shoulders. The orange juice dispenser was always covered in flies and wasps. Some of the bar staff were very friendly and helpful others looked like they were first in line for the firing squad and would struggle to crack a smile in particular the management through out the hotel, most of the management looked like they were running an army camp rather than a hotel. We will not be returning to the hotel but we will return to Icmeler as we love the town and the people.More

May holiday, late review but worth the wait!
3rd visit, we love the beach so hotel in superb position for us, worth the 2hr journey from the airport!l we enjoyed the food, very good salad bar, restaurant staff very pleasant especially Meulot who looked after us all week. Enjoyed the Italian a la carte restaurant the waiter and waitress take a real pride in their work and the food was delicious. Then there is the lovely beach man Arsene who brings a mattress for your sunbed always with a smile. We found the reception staff to be helpful and dealt with a problem we had efficiently. We are sure this will not be our last visit, Icmelar is such a pretty area, and the munamar is no longer a Thomsons couples hotel but is adults only which suits us as our family have now grown up.More

"Let Down Customers!"
My husband and I have just returned from our first cruise and stay holiday. We had a three day stay at this hotel after having cruised on thompson celebration ship for a week. Our advise to you if you are ever booking the same cruise package would be NOT to book this hotel for the stay. The room was very good and cleaned well by the maid. The balcony however was the smallest we have ever had in our many years of travelling. The food was fair but be aware if you have a specific dietery need there is absoulutely no interest or help by the heads of the restaurant or chefs. The outside bar staff also needed an education in customer relations. Most were very ignorant. As you can see from my previous reviews I'm not a complainer. Last year we stayed at the Marmaris Imperial Hotel which was outstanding in every which way. Really disappointed we were unable to book the Imperial with the cruise and stay. After receiving such wonderful treatment and the deducation of staff at the Imperial and on the Celebration ship staying at this hotel was a real shock to the system! Will not be returning as a result!More
