Some people need to get real!

We are at the hotel now and although I understand the comments about the music I would add that if you go on holiday do your research first! Pool music and music at night is a common feature in Turkey and I can testify that the music is turned down at midnight and we have a pool facing room and have no problem sleeping. I would also say that this is a three star hotel and if you want five star luxury I would suggest you put your hand deeper in your pocket and cough up the extra money. The staff are excellent and nothing is to much trouble. I struggle to understand why you would want a duvet in temperatures in excess of 30 degrees but I suppose it takes all types. We to did not initially get the room we pre booked but it was no trouble for the manager to accommodate us. Would definitely come back again.More

Stayed here with my wife for 10 days in mid June after seeing the reviews on trip advisor. We arrived about tea time and was shown to our room by nice courteous staff. Room was OK small and basic but adequate for our needs. So far so good. However when we came back to our room at about 11pm the noise from the music at the bar was horrendous, we had been up since 3 in the morning and was just wanting to get a bit of sleep but couldnt as they place was bouncing, although there was only about a dozen people at the bar. We did ask for the music to be turned down which they did but not very much and said they turned the music off at midnight anyway. We could still hear the music in the room but thought we must just be touchy due to fatigue, so thought we would bear with it for the hour, at 0130hrs I had to go down again and ask them to turn the music down, there were 2 others at the bar at this time. The guy at the bar and his mate seemed to pretend not to understand what we were saying, not impressed and told him so in no uncertain terms. I didnt those 2 again for the rest of the holiday. However it did work as the music was tuned off. For the rest of our holiday though the issue with loud music was the same every day and night which was really annoying . We did speak with reception staff who told us they would address the issue but didnt. It was quite loud during the day so relaxing was a bit of an issue, so much so that we took ourselves down to Olu Deniz most days to get some peace. We have been going to Hisaronu now for about 15yrs and have never heard a racket like it outside the main strip at night. We are by no means fuddy duddys and do enjoy music etc, but there are limits. **** IF MANAGERS READ THE COMMENTS PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE ****. MOST PEOPLE COME TO RELAX AND CHILL OUT NOT HAVE THEIR HEADS BATTERED BY EXCESSIVELY LOUD MUSIC ALL THROUGHOUT THEIR STAY Other than the issue with the loud music The hotel was well located and the food and drinks were reasonably priced. We would not go back and would not recommend it to freinds unless the noise issue is sorted out properly.More

Just back from a 2 week stay at the lagoon hotel in hisaronu, had a great holiday with amazing weather the whole time, checked in at 3am to discover we hadn't been given the top floor rooms I'd asked for also emailed the hotel and had conformation but didn't let it stress us, anyway we were on the ground floor and my daughter was on the 1st floor, the rooms were clean but beds were very hard with only a large dish cloth type cover which only just covered us, after 3 days we asked for a duvet which was given to us so was much better our room looked out onto the pool area which was a nightmare as loud music was blasted out from 1pm for the rest of the day and night so forget about getting a sleep on your lounger or relaxing as it's impossible, also when we went back to the room in late afternoon we had to turn the tv volume up loud to drown out the noise in an attempt to get some sleep!! Also my daughter returned to the hotel 1 afternoon and said she could hear the music from away down the road towards the town centre and said it was worse than any noise she had heard at any of the 18-30 hotels she had stayed at in the past, Food wise the breakfast is pretty basic eggs/toast/slices meat, but you can pay for rolls or a full English breakfast which was really nice, we also had lunch which was lovely especially the steak and onion sandwich, which is strange as the dinner menu was terrible we ordered 4 different meals and none of us could eat it as it was just awful, in summary the hotels not too bad if they could just turn the music down and get a chef in that knows what he's doing at dinner would be a good start, can I also add some of the reviews swooning over the place saying it should be 5* are way over the top as it's a nice basic b&b, another reason I've marked it down a bit is the way the rooms are allocated, thomsons only have certain rooms which are very basic in the 2nd block with things like dish cloth covers and thin orange curtains whilst the private rooms the owner rents out all have full sky tv duvets, black out blinds bigger balconies, it did leave us feeling a bit 2nd class because we had booked a package deal I wouldn't return to this hotel but will certainly be returning to the area probably down at the beach in olu deniz as it gets quite expensive getting taxis up and down all the time and it was a more chilled out vibe compared to hisaronu which is more in your face with booming music constantly coming from every directionMore

Not very good

Let me start with the positive about this hotel cleaners do a great job of keeping the hotel and rooms spotless. Now the negatives food awful icecreams and drinks expensive, staff need some PR lessons,The music in the bar area was supposed to be turned off at midnight but was sometimes still on full blast until 2am even after being ask to turn it down many times every night by a lot of different people, And there was only 3 people in the bar most nights so don't expect a good nights sleep, Wouldn't use this hotel againMore
