Located just 3km inland from Datca is Eski Datca, a protected hamlet where poets, distinguished Turks, and Europeans have escaped city life and sought refuge in this haven of peace and tranquillity. The winding, cobbled streets are lined with lovingly-restored stone houses, oleander, jasmine, bougainvillaea and venerable plane and fir trees. Strict traffic restrictions make Eski Datca an exclusive retreat with a tangible sense of history. A restaurant, grocery store and a weekly market complete the village. For a wider range of options you can find plenty of restaurants and a good selection of cafes, bars and shops, not to mention almost every kind of watersport imaginable, in Datca, just a short dolmus ride away.

When arriving at Dede Pension the owners' friendly resident dog will surely greet you with wagging tail. There are just six rooms, and we have reserved four for our guests. The stone-clad apartments lie in a large walled garden dappled with sun and shade and full of fruit trees, hidden nooks, crannies and stairways. Each air-conditioned room has an individual theme, and the unique artefacts and decoration in each, showcase the owners' dedication and creativity. The pretty swimming pool is set in a courtyard with a terrace and bar, and is the perfect setting for relaxing with a good book and a glass of wine.
