Given that the Villa Minta was only built in 2002, the beautiful, mature gardens surrounding the house are an unexpected - but a most welcome - sight to greet you upon arrival. The surrounding mountainous landscape offers a view at every turn; you can't help but relax in such a tranquil setting. When you enter the property, you will soon notice the quality of the interior, with its dark wood fixtures and modern furnishings. No expense has been spared with this villa; it's someone's home, and it shows. Families or groups of friends will enjoy the space and freedom it offers. The building's L-shaped design is unusual but attractive and gives an airy feel to the property. The main part of the house is two-storey. To the right of the main entrance is a lounge/dining area with patio doors leading out on to a stone-tiled effect terrace and beyond the dining area is the principal kitchen area, with its lacquered rosewood units and breakfast bar, also leading to the terrace. Adjacent to two en suite rooms is a separate stone built, single-storey cottage housing a TV lounge with Turkish style seating and kitchenette, which is ideal if you are staying with friends but still want to enjoy your own space for a while.
If you can bear to leave your luxurious surroundings, the resort centre of Dalyan, with its numerous shops and restaurants, is just 1.4km away. Several mini-markets are within walking distance from your villa so there's no need to venture farther afield unless you want to. If you would like a change from your freshwater pool, a trip to Iztuzu Beach offers you 5km of sandy beach gently shelving into the sea. Sunbeds, parasols, snack bar, toilets and changing facilities are available at both ends of the beach, so there's everything you need to allow you to settle in for the day. As well as numerous areas to walk around, there is also a variety of boat trips on offer, including a trip to Koycegiz Lake and the sulphur mud baths. If you are interested in history, the ancient site of Caunos is well worth a visit. Mugla, Dalyan and Koycegiz all have their own local markets; great places for selecting some fresh local produce for the evening's barbecue.
