Head for the sweeping five kilometre sandbar beach of Iztuzu that juts out into the twinkling Mediterranean and you may be lucky enough to catch sight of the endangered Loggerhead Turtle, as this is one of their last nesting grounds. Of course, you may prefer to simply stretch out on the silvery-white sands - and who could blame you? While you're here, take time to soak up some of the fascinating history. Check out places like the ancient city of Caunos, one of the country's top archaeological sites, and the elaborately-carved rock faces along the Lycian Coast.
