Villa Olive

in Atakoy , Turkey - Dalaman

  • Lovely views over the bay of Gokova
  • Tranquil and relaxing
  • Ideal for families
This immaculate villa lies in an area of unspoilt, natural beauty surrounded by olive trees that are more than a century old, and has unrivalled views of the entire bay of Gokova as far as the Datca Peninsula.
Built using Datca stone from its owner’s family business, Villa Olive is a relaxing escape for those who like to get away from it all. But, while there’s a family connection to its construction materials, the traditional stone is more than just a pretty design. It helps keep the cottage cool during the summer months. Inside, the cottage is all about simple and tasteful furnishings. The three airy bedrooms – the air-conditioned master and twin bedrooms and the single bedroom – have fresh soft furnishings, timber ceilings and stone walls. There are two bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen and dining room and the lounge has the added bonus of a sofa bed.

Outside, there are enviable views across Atakoy, which can be enjoyed from the bright-blue cushions of the sun loungers. The large, rectangular, pool is built on a terrace and below it are the grounds of the villa – perfect for afternoon ramblings through the olive groves. And, parents will be happy to know, little ones aren’t forgotten either. The pool’s also got a small paddling area for them.

We wanted a week to completely unwind. As a childless mid forties couple we didn't need entertainment but did want a pool to ourselves and no-one else around. The villa was perfect, the owner local and very helpful but in no way intrusive. It had... more on this review
