Set on the Bodrum Peninsula, this place couldn’t be in a better spot. It’s tucked on the outskirts of Turgutreis, just a short walk from the marina and the nearest shops. Bodrum itself is about a 25-minute drive away. What’s more, the hotel has its own private stretch of sand and days can be snoozed away on one of the twin wooden jetties.
Its waterside location means all the outdoor areas offer widescreen Aegean views. And there are plenty of places to soak up the scenery. The activity pool, waterslide splash pool and the quiet pool all come with terraces and wooden sunbeds. Plus there are five bars and five restaurants serving everything from cocktails and seafood to Turkish kebabs – some with a side-order of sea views.
Inside, this place has interior-designed good-looks. The lobby works the marble and wicker look, with a circular wooden bar taking centre-stage. The standard bedrooms are all cream and trimmed with light wood furniture. And if you’re after something really special, upgrade to the Superior rooms which flaunt funky murals, boxy furniture and flatscreen TVs. These also come with exclusive access to a rooftop bar and unlimited use of the à la carte restaurants.
Of course, this seafront setting opens up a world of activities. The watersports menu ranges from windsurfing and scuba to high-speed thrill rides. On top of that, you’ve got archery targets, tennis courts and a football pitch to play with, not to mention more relaxing options like a mini cinema and spa.

The pool is too small for the number of guests that can occupy the hotel so be careful during peak season, the food is excellent, facilities are good, spa is good, entertainment is not first class but good all the same, there was a problem with kids drinking while I was there, the disco was an 'underage' paradise, and not an adult venue, I have to say also that I felt the staff were on the case of the girls too. And having experienced several different locations in Turkey's all Inc portfolio, I'd say this is not up to the standard of some of the other reasonably priced hotels.I enjoyed my stay there, but would not go back.More

Myself and my 2 daughters visited in August 2013. Check in was effortless and a bell boy assisted us with our luggage. The room we were allocated was on the first floor near reception. The room had a double bed and a pull out bed/futon. The view from the room was disappointing, a couple of large trees and the dusty road where the coach had dropped us off at reception. The sofa bed was extremely hard with no padding. Complained to reception who advised us to come back in the morning as currently there were no other rooms available. Returned to reception in the morning and we were given a room on the ground floor near to the restaurant. This room had 3 single beds in and was perfect, near to activity area and a wonderful view of the pool and the sea. The food is plentiful with plenty of choice. At breakfast you can choose from a bespoke omelette, freshly fried eggs, pancakes, cereal, vast array of different breads, yogurts, juices etc. Lunch and dinner in the main restaurant was lovely and carefully presented and every night there were different BBQ meats and fish cooking. The hand made bread and pizza were something else absolutly delish!! The hotel offers free water skiing, banana boat rides and a large water chair which is pulled along by a speed boat. This is the only hotel I know in Turkey that offers this activity free of charge!!! My kids had so much fun on the water slides which are located to the left of the main activity area. The weather was superb in the 30's everyday and the great thing about Turgutreis (meaning windy) is the breeze which is welcoming just make sure you apply plenty of high factor sunscreen or you'll end up looking like Mr Crabs from Spongebob! There is a road that runs along the seafront that's a pleasant walk which takes you to the small town and marina. Plenty of shops, restaurants and bars to explore. The market is well worth a visit, be sure to haggle to grab yourself a bargain although at the end of the experience one may feel slightly harassed by the the market traders, a polite "no thank you" is all that's necessary. Now I feel I must mention the activity staff who work incredibly hard and long hours who were fantastic. Various activities throughout the day going off - darts, aqua aerobics, archery, volleyball and numerous competitions. In the evening there was a mini kids disco and also shows held in the open air auditorium which are fun. As the hotel has many multi cultural guests the shows have to be understood by everyone - which I felt the animation team did a great job. There's also bingo and karaoke held on certain nights of the week. I would recommend a visit to the Spa. We had a Turkish Bath and the massage was lovely and relaxing, my skin felt really soft afterwards. Make sure you visit at the beginning of your holiday mind or it'll take your tan off. All in all a fantastic holiday, the hotel is clean (yes could do with a bit of a revamp but heho), staff friendly, plenty of activities to participate in if you wish, free watersports, plenty of choice with regards to food and did I mention the view when the sun is setting!! Lets just say don't forget your camera! :-)More

Great hotel, great food and great staff! The location is right on the beach and would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone! We would be going back this summer if it wasn't for Thomson holidays and the fact we got delayed 24hrs, have tried to book direct but found it difficult More
We visited in June this year and had a fantastic 10days! Rooms were clean & modern only gripe here is I would of liked a bigger balcony but I can live with that. Pool area wasnt big enough for number of guests & was quite dated. Beach was nice, we mainly went on the jetties but could get very windy. Food was good, really good choice & some fantastic puddings! Entertainment wasnt up to much.Took about 15mins to walk into town following a well lit path over looking the sea - perfect to try & walk all those puddings off! Booked a boat trip with Jix & Kesh at the hotel it was so good we booked to go again! We were lucky enough to see some dolphins on our second trip which really made the day, prices were reasonable & comparable with the other guys sell boat trips in the town. All in all a great holiday we never go to the same place twice but would consider visiting Turgutreis again in the future.More

I visited with my husband and my son during the last week or so of the season. The hotel was very quiet, not too many guests and very relaxed. Our days were spent either on the uncrowded beach or beside the pool. It was easy to get a sunbed at any time of the day although I'm sure this wouldn't be the case in high season. During the daytime there were a few low key activities going on - shooting, archery, darts, table tennis. The tennis courts advertised were not located in the hotel grounds but a short walk away through a residential area which was not a problem. The reps who organised the activities were great - friendly and helpful without being pushy. Due to the time of year we visited it was sometimes quite windy at the beach so water sports activities were not always available but my husband and son managed to try the inflatable sofa, canoeing and also jet skiing (available at extra cost from the beach next door). All activities were good fun and seemed quite safe. At the end of a day on the beach it was lovely to watch the beautiful sunsets over the water. The all inclusive food was excellent - lovely salads, breads and desserts and lots of lamb dishes. Because we stayed during low season the Fish & the Turkish a-la-carte restaurants were closed due to the fact that they were located outdoors and it was a bit chilly in the evenings. We ate at the Italian restaurant once and it was a pretty good 5 course meal, however we were more than happy to eat in the main restaurant with Mumut the friendly waiter who kept my wine glass topped up at all times! On that subject, the wine was excellent, as was the local beer. Our room was comfy and spacious, nothing plush but more than adequate and the bathroom was nice with a walk in shower, hair dryer, toiletries and slippers. The hotel has it's own spa with a Turkish Hamam, steam room, sauna and indoor pool as well as a gym. We did use these facilities but didn't have any spa treatments as they were quite expensive. The town of Turgutreis was only a 15 minute stroll away and we visited the Saturday market there which was great for a bit of banter and a few bargains. Lots of fake hoodies, trainers and handbags as cheap as chips! I must add that I felt very safe in Turgutreis when mixing with the locals. My husband even had a Turkish shave in one of the barber shops. My son and I took an excursion with Thomson to the Turkish baths - what an experience! It was ok for a bit of fun but we found it all a bit impersonal as we were thrown in a room with 12 strangers! It was a great way to make friends & giggle but not exactly what I'd call a relaxing afternoon. I would definitely recommend this hotel, the only negative comment I could give is that there wasn't much to do in the evenings. Lots of people were just gathered on the sofas in reception using the free wifi looking a bit bored. Sometimes there was karaoke or a singer at the pool bar indoor) but this was not our thing. There was a pool table and table tennis table in the basement along with a small cinema showing English films and we tended to make use of these. Once again, I'm sure it would be very different in high season when the entertainment would be outside around the pool. Finally, I would like to add that there lots of stray cats and dogs around Turgutreis. As the hotel grounds are so open and it is right on the beach it is impossible to keep them out. They will come and sit on the sunbed with you or ask for food if you are eating outside the restaurants. They were all very friendly and not a problem for myself and my family (we loved them!) but I could see how they would be for others. I am so glad we booked this hotel - we had been contemplating 'La Blanche' next door but the free watersports swung it for us. We did take a sneaky look inside La Blanche and I must say it did look lovely but didn't have the same friendly atmosphere as The Aegean Dream. Perhaps we will return one day.More
