Eski Yali Hotel

The best things come in small packages. And that's certainly true of Eski Yali Hotel. Possibly because it's only 44 rooms. Or maybe it's that it's family-run. Whatever the reason behind it the welcome's warm, the rooms are spick and span and there's a sense that nothing is too much trouble. This place is definitely dinky enough to care about the finer points. It's the same story in the gardens. Small though this hotel is, it takes two full-time gardeners to keep the grounds pruned and pretty. Filled with tall trees, bougainvillea and roses, they're flower-packed to say the least. Then there's the pool. Nestled in the gorgeous gardens and surrounded a stone-flagged sun terrace, it's much bigger than you'd expect. There's more than enough room for everyone – in fact it wouldn't look out of place in a hotel twice this size. Inside, your room is all white-washed simplicity with tiled floors reflecting the sunlight that floods through the window. Best of all though, it's all on the edge of Ortakent's golden shingle beach. In contrast to it's more active neighbouring sister hotel, the Tamirisk Beach Hotel, the Eski Yali's perfect for those much needed away-from-it-all moments.
