The magnificent Ladies Beach is a ribbon of satiny sands, only a short dolmus trip from the centre. Lined with turquoise waters, amazing watersports and a restaurant-packed seafront, it's the perfect place to chill. Or for something less frenetic, check out the town beach or nearby Kustur and Long Beach.
Away from the sands, haggle to your heart's content in Kusadasi's chaotic, captivating Grand Bazaar. An Aladdin's Cave stacked with hundreds of jewellery, clothes and bric-a-brac stalls, we defy you not to leave laden with bags full of trinkets and gifts. And then, souvenirs sorted, dig into ocean-fresh fish at one of the dozens of Turkish restaurants or international and British eateries.
And at dusk, do what comes naturally to you – Kusadasi has it all. Whether it's hitting Bar Street's throbbing bars, Irish pubs or open-air disco, enjoying a lazy supper or taking in an exciting cabaret or belly dancing show, it's up to you.
Spare a day? Apart from the local thrill-a-minute waterparks, you're spoilt for choice. Travel to Ephesus to walk its spellbinding Greco-Roman streets, enjoy a gulet cruise along the coast or marvel at Pamukkale's 'cotton castles' or Didyma's Temple of Apollo.
