If you’re seeking a super friendly hotel with a first-class service, the Serpina will charm the flip-flops off you.
This hotel has a winning location. It’s just a matter of minutes to get to the beach and its seafront restaurants. You’re equally close to shop and bars, and Bar Street itself is 10 minutes’ walk away tops.
The pool is a pretty good size and there’s a separate pool for children alongside it. Plus the bar here offers a shaded spot for lunch. Talking of food, there’s a restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
These light and airy twin rooms with their neutral décor and soft furnishings sleep up to three or they can be sold as a single. They come with either twin beds or double beds with air-conditioning at a charge.
We absolutely love this hotel. It makes us happy as soon as we walk into it on our first day. The boss is superb a true gentleman and all of his staff do their utmost to look after you. The rooms are cleaned EVERY day the cleaners work from morning until night. We have been coming to this hotel for years and would never go to another hotel in Turkey because of the fantastic food, the excellent service, the truly amazing pool which is also cleaned every day and tested for chlorine levels. There are so many guests who come back time and time again just like us. Love to all of the staff who truly will do anything to make your holiday special we'll see you all again soon from Caroline and Steve xxxMore

We will never go there again.
Thompson's need to pay this (hotel) a surprise visit as it was a disgrace as you walk into the reception if you turn around and look above the main door it is thick with cobwebs. There are no safes in the rooms they are all in the reception and cost 30 lira each this means anyone wishing to put anything in the safe can be observed by all in the reception. We were issued room 209 and when we entered the room it was like a doss house. The furniture in the room was chip board and chip being the appropriate word it was ready to fall apart. The shower room was worse the light above the sink was falling away from the wall and the electric cables were visible. The walls inside the shower cubical were covered in mould and layers of grease and dirt under the shower screen. Under the bed had not been cleaned for several months at least. We asked to get a change of room which we were offered but when we saw this new room it was just the same. We asked our Thompson's rep to find out how much it would cost for return flight but at £259 each we were forced to endure this dump for the entire week. If Thompson's offer you this (hotel) decline it for a different one and do yourself a very big favour.More

Not for us
Gumbet . . . . Oh dear!
If you like fake anything then this is the place to go. Our room was basic, but fine, apart from ongoing blocked shower issues and increasing mould around the shower base. The room overlooked a beautiful, spotlessly clean but chilly, outdoor pool and it was good to have a balcony, even if the only outdoor furniture were plastic stools.
It was very 'end of season' and some of the tired staff did their best. We booked half board expecting an evening buffet, as advertised with Thomsons, so we were very disappointed with the 'laughable' A La Carte' menu. If we were lucky we managed to get something from this menu. Most of the time though the chef (with a huge ego which needed daily massaging) told us what we'd be having for dinner. Some evenings this was 3 courses but invariably was only 2, and every dish came with chips and salad.
The chef tried a number of times to entice us to go for a walk in the evening to meet his friend and get a good deal on whatever he was selling. By the fourth evening he appeared to finally accept we weren't interested.
Fortunately the lovely town of Bodrum is only a short dolmus ride away. My advice is to head there and avoid Gumbet.More
