If you’re seeking a super friendly hotel with a first-class service, the Serpina will charm the flip-flops off you.
This hotel has a winning location. It’s just a matter of minutes to get to the beach and its seafront restaurants. You’re equally close to shop and bars, and Bar Street itself is 10 minutes’ walk away tops.
The pool is a pretty good size and there’s a separate pool for children alongside it. Plus the bar here offers a shaded spot for lunch. Talking of food, there’s a restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

Good for the price..
Our check in was very fast. My first impressions of the hotel were that it was very clean and the staff very friendly. Our room was tiny though, but for the price we payed, we couldn't really complain.. Pros/cons â¢Air con was 80L for the week â¢Wifi was 15L for the week, but doesn't reach most rooms and parts of the pool area. â¢Drinks; Cocktails 15L, specials 7.50L, Tuborg 8L (6tl outside of hotel) â¢Staff very friendly and helpful and the hotel was nice overall, and plenty of shade throughout the day! â¢Poor breakfast, we lived off coffee and cereal/fruit! â¢The children's pool is literally a paddling pool, suitable for toddlers, or great if you just want to dip your feet in and read a book. After a lovely evening down the beach, we got back to the hotel to be greeted by about 30 ants in our sink (room 312) The hotel offered us a different room but without a pool view.. So instead we had the maids complete clean the room head to toe and use ant killer in the bathroom! The beach is literally 5 minutes away, great location, close to all shops and bars. Loads of loungers beds and hammocks and great food. We paid 40tl for air con as we only had it half of the week, it leaked within 10 minutes of having it on, but the engineer came to fix it immediately. No drinks/food from outside hotel allowed in rooms - this rule was obviously broken as it's 2.50tl for a small bottle off water in the hotel and 3.50tl for a huge bottle in the shop just down the road. We only ate food at the hotel twice, during lunch time, mainly because the prices out of the hotel are much lower!! If the hotel were to match prices of nearby restaurants it would be a lot livelier and more would eat and drink there. So on that note... *Red dragon had great food, only 5 minutes up the road, free wifi and very friendly staff, they remembered us every time we passed or went in to exchange money! *Carpe diem on the beachfront is lovely. Free wifi and free sun loungers for as long as you want. ***Annalivia's is a must! We went here twice, service was great, daiquiris were lovely and the food is to die for!*** *Peters place - We were recommended this place by almost everyone, reviews are really good and it's #2 in gümbet. But we were quite disappointed. We struggled to find it and ended up getting a taxi. The food was nice, service was good.. But it's not a patch on Annalivia's. The location isn't up to much, it's down a little lane and there isn't much food to chose from on the menu. I'd give it a 3/4 star.. *Family door also good. You save so much money wth the meal deals so check the whole menu. I'd recommend you change your money out in turkey as you can get a higher exchange rate there (July 2014 £1 to 3.6TL in turkey compared to £1/3.3TL with thomson) Overall, it's a pretty good hotel, I think we just had a spot of bad luck with our room, with that in mind, I wouldn't be happy paying full price for this hotel, we payed 240 each for b&b in July (before British school holidays) in comparison to 560 if we went the week later. Great Little Hotel
Just back from a week at the Serpina and certainly wasn't disappointed. The rooms were clean and reasonably well equipped (air con for 80 Turkish Lira/week), our room had a view of the large pool area with a small balcony. Pool was large and certainly needed for cooling off in the week we were there with temperatures around 40°C on most days. Plenty of sun loungers around the pool and several large umbrellas for shade. The pool area is well laid out and the climbing flowering plants on the buildings give it an attractive appearance. Breakfast was continental so just the usual selection of ham cheese etc, on the breakfast terrace, however the meals at night were (for the money) very good and were served on the patio area adjacent to the pool. There is a bar area with a good selection of drinks available at reasonable prices. The hotel is situated close to the bottom end of bar street, but far enough away to be very quiet at night, so plenty of bars, restaurants and shops on your doorstep Short walk to the beach, although I must admit this was our first time in Gumbet and I found the beach slightly disappointing as it was very narrow and consisted of a brownish gritty sand. What really made the hotel for us was the staff, all very friendly and efficient and only too happy to stop and have a blether. ILLO is certainly worthy of a mention as he likes a laugh and a chat, plus like all the other guys he works very long hours but always managed a smile. All in all a very nice hotel in a good area, made special by all the friendly staff and I would certainly recommend it if you are travelling to Gumbet.More

Lovely, clean hotel. Room was serviced to a good standard daily, towels were changed twice during our week. Air con works fabulously as Turkey in August is so hot, it was a lifesaver! Pool area was really nice, clean and quiet, although we did have to put towels down before breakfast as it became really busy. Hotel food was great, we went to the Turkish night and had a ball!! all the staff put huge amounts of effort into their guests having an enjoyable stay, even more so during this particular night. Gumbet itself is a very loud, busy, and not the tidiest of places, with a small beach (sunbathing) area, the Serpina made our stay in Turkey so much more relaxed and enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel in Gumbet.More
