There’s plenty to write home about at the Club Pedalisa. Firstly, there’s the views from the rooms. Each and every apartment looks out over the pool and many look out over the sea, which is a rare find in the other hotels and self-catering properties in this part of the world.
Secondly, there’s the swimming scene. The large free-form swimming pool is surrounded by a spacious sun terrace and plenty of sunloungers. There’s a separate pool for children to play in, plus a pool bar, where you can get drinks, snacks and ice-creams.
Talking of food, this place has its own à la carte restaurant. And there’s a weekly Turkish night and a barbecue evening, where you can try traditional dishes like mezze and kebabs.
The Club Pedalisa’s location deserves a mention, too. The property is just a 5-minute walk from a long sandy beach and a 10-minute taxi journey from the lively centre of Bodrum.

Really loved this place :) !
The Pedalisa! Best thing we can say is that we’re coming back, for another fortnight, and at exactly the same time (second half of September) we visited last year! [Frankly, that says it ALL!] Location: Perfect, to our minds. Well away from ‘Bar Street,’ a healthy little stroll to the beach and all the wonderful restaurants there. A great view, down across the bay, as well. Staff were great. The ‘days’ guy on Reception was super; no little problem appeared to be beyond him to solve – and quickly. Little issues with the electrics: his electrician was in our room within 10 minutes, even late evening. Room was always cleaned to a great standard. Turkish Night was quite good. Bar was fine. Pool was really great. Rooms were excellent. LOADS of room. We weren’t paying 5* prices. Yes, the odd thing was slightly ‘tired’ but mostly everything was great. [We REALLY don’t CARE if a towel is slightly frayed, AS LONG AS IT IS CLEAN … and it always was.] Yeah, there were bits of Reception that were dull / tired … but we didn’t live in Reception; we walked through it! Having stayed in places with utterly ridiculously over-dressed (and not necessarily functional) Receptions, this was a welcome relief (to our psyches and to our wallets!!) Bed linen!? Even in late September, you could sleep stark naked, without a sheet over you, all night long. The bed linen was fine. For us, this was a perfect place to spend two lovely weeks. Rooms were well enough equipped for us to make something of an effort to make the occasional dinner (and every breakfast) at home. There was a big fridge for all the alcohol we consumed … on the lovely balcony, in front of the TV, or getting ready for dinner (and for the food – some from local markets – as well!) Some good places (just up the road was our favourite; immediately after the Mexican Restaurant) to buy DIY food and drink. One night, a NOISY group of 15 or so flew in around midnight and partied for HOURS (until around 9am.) Not good, by a long chalk. To be fair, Michelle (Thomson rep; 5*; wish she was here this coming year!!) sorted it, upon her arrival, the next morning, within 5 minutes! She made it clear to the lads that “Bar Street is for the noise and booze; this place is for sleeping at night”. We were instantly moved to the block furthest away from the bar. [If this may be an issue for you, request a room furthest away from the bar at the onset!] Some have complained about the temperature of the showers. If you have an early start for an excursion, take a deep breath and flinch; your shower will NOT be warm. As the sun comes up, this will improve a lot (solar heating!) By mid/late morning, it’s gorgeous. 4pm: fabulous. After 8pm: not great. From our point of view, having holidayed for over 15 years on the Med, this is par for the course at this standard and price. At least the shower was better than a dribble and at least there weren’t repeated and unexpected power cuts. We actually walked all the way into Bodrum a couple of times. Very do-able, but a fair way [good to take a (cheap) taxi back]. Loved all the excursions! Booked some from our (Thomson) rep and others from a guy on the beach (from the local co-operative). No problems with either (except for the pick-up from one Thomson trip; hey-ho; they messed up, but we got a full refund.) Tried boat trip round the bays, scuba diving (WOW!!), local culture/villages, Turkish bath …. Loved the trip to Kos (an old favourite of ours, but the Euro makes drinks seem VERY dear)! If you do this, be aware that your coach may be held up for well over an hour, on your return, in ‘customs,’ while they delay innocent people. It seemed to us like a trick to make others linger – and spend – in duty-free! So many great restaurants! (Tried a few on Bar Street … beware the one that offered ‘Free Wine’: the food was good, the wine was vinegar!) Loved eating along the sea front (especially on the beach; toes in the sand) and some good offers in late September! ‘Best’ restaurant? Maybe ‘Annalivia,’ at the far end of the resort, up from the sea, at the far end of Bar Street. Also loved ‘Angel,’ right out round the headland … they even brought a shawl for my shoulders on breezy nights! Enjoyed their ‘flaming clay pot’ meal AND the one where they produced two foil towers of burning charcoals, surrounding your … was it Beef Stroganoff!? We often hire a car on holiday; Jim is a most confident and competent driver. Didn’t ever feel the need here; too many good things on your doorstep and some great, good-value excursions, too! A last tip: If you need a taxi back and the guy doesn’t know where the Pedalisa is: The ‘Medlife’ clinic is at the bottom of the drive. Take a picture of it, on your ‘phone, and anytime you need to tell a taxi driver where Pedalisa is, show him the pic and he’ll get you back there !! (Will post this pic to help you !)More

On our first visit to turkey last year we decided on Club pedalisa and i have to say we had a really good holiday. We stayed in an upper floor room and the views were amazing.Huge pool with plenty of sun loungers and a nice bar with friendly staff. The rooms could do with new sheets and towels,a bit tatty but at least they were clean. We have just booked again for this summer and cant wait....More

Love it or hate it
The apartment complex must have once been a good place to stay, the location is not bad and far enough away from the boy pole dancers of bar street. The views from the complex are tremendous and the bay of Gumbet is nice to see at any time of the day. The pool is nice and big with even the novelty of a viewing window that is visible from the street and the reception area. The games area with table tennis table must have been well used in the day as it is shaded and large enough to house a multitude of activities. The rooms are large and have the basic facilities to make up a good holiday. The bar area is in a good place and easily accessible. However, all of the things listed have been allowed to slide into oblivion and now must be a shadow of their former selves. The pool is very dirty and I am amazed that people were not visiting the medical clinic across the road with ear infections, you are not even able to make out who the people are when you look through the viewing window. The games room has a broken table tennis table which we used but had to keep patching it up as well as buying our own bats and balls. The rooms are basic with tattered bed sheets, kicked in doors and no balcony furniture. The bar area and staff are hitty missy and bordering on rude, it goes along way if you are a female. As said in most of the other reviews, the staff only cleaned the pool area once and that was only to get more glasses for the bar. This place needs a major revamp but I do believe that if someone spent a few quid on it and gave the staff some customer care courses then it could be good again.More
Club Pedalisa is the best hotel in Gumbet! This year has been my fifth time staying at this hotel and I could not ask for anything more better. Between the bar staff the cleanliness the helpfulness and the friendless of all staff within club Pedalisa is why they have made all my holidays fun and exciting and I always look forward to my return. Some people are never happen at the end of the day it's what you make of your holiday.. Whoop whoop roll on summer 2014!!! More
I went here on the 22d September for 11 nights with my partner and we loved it! the first thing you arrive to is the reception which isn't the best but when are you ever down there?? cleaners was in everyday and everything were spotless! the bar lads are fab! probs weren't the best food in the bar, the pool was nice and clean but I'd say that was the only downfall...people say the bed sheets are like curtains, ye they arnt the best but they felt fine and there's a fleecy one there if needed, but our room was pretty much perfect everything was clean, everything worked was quite impressed from what I've turned up-to in the past. i cant complainMore
