A big pool is the focal point here. Other highlights include an à la carte restaurant and a weekly Turkish night.
These apartments are 5 minutes’ walk from the beach and seafront restaurants, with Bar Street just a bit further on. And on foot, you can get to Bodrum in less than half an hour – or it’s just a few minutes in a cab.
The pool here seems to go on forever, and there’s a good-sized pool for children next to it. Both come with a sea view. There’s an à la carte restaurant, too, and themed nights that team Turkish food with traditional dancing.

Under staffed shambles !!!
Just returned from club pedalisa on Thursday travelled with my husband and 2 kids aged 11and8 ! Where can I even begin to start !!! Dingy reception dirty pool and pool area lousy lousy bar staff who "forget" to put alcohol in your drinks and after waiting at least 20 mins a time for them to be made is just taking the biscuit really ! Bar staff were ignorant slow and very loud in your face but not in the slightest bit interested in you ! Drinks were a fortune 10 lira a beer only 5 lira in shops and apparently you couldn't even drink your own beverages around the pool not even water which for a "self catering" apartments is just utter rubbish !! The rooms weren't cleaned to a very good standard but for the amount of time you spend in your room that doesn't really matter to me they were basic but comfortable ! If it wasn't for the nice other holiday makers there we really wouldn't have enjoyed our stay but hi to everyone who made our stay enjoyable I'm sure you all share my complaints !!! Gumbet itself isn't up to much its full of people trying to rip you off left right and centre ! The beach isn't the cleanest but all the staff in the beach restaurants are lovely and the water sports are fab. Overall we enjoyed our hol but I wouldn't recommend Gumbet or the club pedalisa !!!!More

worst holiday ever
We just returned from Gumbet 2 days ago and it was so terrible I would never ever go back there. The hotel isn't 3 star, First when we arrived a van met us which was very old barely could drive. In the middle of the way to the hotel, we couldn't open the door for 20 minutes! And after we couldn't shut it. It was also dangerous because on the sharp turn the door slammed open. The hotel wasn't what we really expected stuff wasn't welcoming but the worst was the room, the towels were old and holey. Bed sheets and pillows had yellow stains on it and were old as well, there was no hot water almost all day, don't forget to buy toilet paper. There is nothing to do at the hotel especially for the kid, the table tennis is a awful condition, the tennis rackets were torn and old and probably bought by the guests, to play pool in the cafe you have to pay, the floor near the swimming pool is slippery so be careful. The prices were incredibly high at the hotel even higher than in town. The beach is dirty as well as the sea. When you swim it looks like you swim in cigarette ashes, tissues and all other rubbish, you name it. The restaurants had to buy beer, water and juice from the shops and sell them to you higher than the original price. Once we are sitting in the restaurant and ordered a Turkish beer the waiter says " We haven't got one " but a few minutes later he went down stairs to the shop and bought some and gave them to us but a higher price. If you want to buy something on the street like clothes or souvenirs the price depends on which country you come from. Some shops never put the price on the items, we went to buy toilet paper in one shop we paid 5 Turkish Lira when we went into another shop it was 2.50 TL. The next day the same toilet paper in the same shop was 3.50 TL .We didn't enjoy our holiday the money is not worth all the things. We will never come back to Gumbet again :(More

Needs some tlc
Visited 31st July for 7 nights. Arrived at night and could have cried. The reception was dull and the corridor to our room was dark dirty and dismal. Lighting was not working and punch marks in the doors! Once in the apartment things improved. Very spacious and bright with big balcony and excellent views. Pool is big and was cleaned regularly. Bar prices very high and staff were plying the young girls with drink. One girl ended up in hospital after falling due to being intoxicated. Eating out is so reasonable and every meal was excellent. Mistrals carpe diem and uncle festers were the favourites. The shops as always were staffed by very pushy young men who could love you then hate you in seconds! Money exchange excellent in bars. All in all better than expected but come on Thomson this is a 2 star at best! More
Concerned given a few bad reviews!
Two adults and two children - aged 15 and 10. I have to concur with everything Paul B has said below. We were concerned given the "bad/negative" reviews however our fears were allayed on our arrival. I can honestly say I have never stayed in such spacious apartments. Yes again it is basic but who goes on holiday to sit in their room all day? The bar staff were amazing with our kids and they do all they can to make your holiday an enjoyable experience. I am looking forward to returning next year for a repeat of what was a brilliant holiday.More
We were nervous, but it turned out a great stay!
Everybody please remember. Trip Advisor reviews are subjective.Try to look past the bad reviews. We visited for 10 nights from 24th July, 2 adults and 2 kids aged 11 and 9. Firstly the hotel. Yes it's basic, but it is ideally situated 5 minutes from beach and shops. The rooms were spacious and clean and towels and bed linen changed every 2-3 days. All linen was clean, some was tatty, but clean. We had a few ants in the room on arrival and within 5 minutes maintenance came and sprayed them, they had been attracted to a little piece of sweet the previous tenant had kindly stuck under the window sill. The pool is a good size, 1.5m deep all round and I watched it being cleaned daily from my terrace. The splashpool is safe for kids and divided by railings from main pool. Believe it or not, the sides get very slippy when wet. This is a no-brainer, don't complain, just take care. And yes, there is music playing all day, but ranges from dance music of the day, reggae, Sinatra and the Rolling Stones, something for everyone. I reckon there are more sunbeds than guests too, never struggled to find a spot. All the staff we interacted with were polite, friendly, fun and trying to ensure you were having a good time. Ata, Ahmet, Eto and Ebo staffed the bar and worked very hard, bar area was exceptionally clean and fun to sit around any time of the day. Free WiFi too. The staff here know that the drinks are expensive and you can buy much cheaper in town, but this is out of their hands. The food here is amazing, we ate in for a few breakfasts, 10L for a full cooked breakfast, we had Ottamon kebab on the terrace one evening, beautiful view of the Gumbet Cove sunset. Chicken night was delicious and the best shish we ate for the duration of our stay. If the management could incorporate drinks promotions/discounts for the special nights, it would be VERY busy and still very profitable. The restaurants close by that we liked were Mistral Bay (kids eat free!), Dennys, Chinatown and Carpe Diem. Its also worth a walk round the beach to Gumbet Cove Hotel bar where they serve great pizza and pide and the watersports and boat trips are better value here at the nearby Royal Asarlik kiosk. A lot of the negative comments here are down to peoples over expectation of a budget hotel, which is what this is, it is also down to guests not communicating diplomatically with the staff (shouting gets you nowhere, politeness will). Summing up, the hotel needs some TLC, maybe a lick of paint here and there and a toaster in the room, but we had a fantastic 10 night stay and will be booking next year, we arrived home 3am this morning, missing it greatly :(More
