This beachfront resort comes with 4 swimming pools, 6 restaurants, and a stylish bar designed by Philip Treacy.
Sensatori Resort Sorgun’s biggest selling point is its location. It’s right on a gold-sand beach, and just footsteps from a 400-hectare forest. Just so you know, this place used to be known as Sensatori Resort Turkey.
You can choose from 4 swimming pools, and take your pick from activities like tennis, pilates and watersports. There’s just as much choice when it comes to dining. The resort's 6 restaurants showcase national dishes, gourmet cuisine, and everything in between.
Designer Philip Treacy was the brains behind the resort's Butterfly Bar. Here, you can sip a Sensatori Mystery – vodka, sparkling wine, cherry juice and strawberry – in a funky booth, while looking up at a rainbow of hanging baubles. Read more ››

Brilliant place to chill out and get some sun
Stayed here in Oct 16, had a fantastic time, this is truly a 5***** resort. Good facilities, rooms are a good size, loads of AI choice with food and drinks. The staff were very good, always had a smile and happy to help in anyway they could. I would definitely recommend this placeMore
Excellent Hotel with very friendly Staff.
We stayed at this wonderful hotel early Sep 16. We have been to other Sensatori resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico and I would say this one is just as good. The choice of food, drinks and the quality is superb, you will not go hungry. The rooms and the whole complex are kept spotlessly clean. Plenty of sunbeds so we never had a problems getting one. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough to make your stay an enjoyable experience. We had a great holiday and have already booked for another visit in May. I would highly recommend Barut Sorgun Sensatori to anyone with or without children.More
Wonderful hotel with everything you could want or need
I stayed at Sensatori in Side in late September into October 2016 for 10 days. I travelled with my Mum so we had a nice girls' holiday!! We arrived fairly late in the evening - about 10pm local time and were greeted by the Thomson rep and checked in and shown to our room. Our bags appeared in our room shortly after. We opted for a private taxi transfer which meant we got to our room about an hour before the coach party from the same flight. Worth doing if you've arriving late, tired after a day of travelling and don't mind paying the extra. We were too late for dinner but there was a slightly uninspiring roll in our rooms with a bit of stale lettuce and some cheese. Thankfully this wasn't representative of the food in general! We had a family room with a sea view and balcony. There was a sliding door between the sections of the room so we each had some privacy. Balcony was a good size and the room was as big as it needed to be but not overly spacious. The room (and hotel in general) was spotless and the cleaners were cheerful and made a swan out of towels on our final day which was very sweet. The resort itself is a short bus ride and walk from Side. It's set in beautiful grounds with several pools. The adults only pool was busy but as we travelled during term time the family pool was relatively quiet and we were easily able to get sun beds. The kids pool was virtually deserted. There are a few shops on site which are handy for souvenirs, swimwear, sunblock etc. We didn't venture into the expensive-looking jewellery shop! The food was excellent throughout our stay. The main buffet has such a wide selection at breakfast, lunch and dinner that you have to restrain yourself if you don't want to return a stone heavier! Breakfast had everything from a full English, to continental to cereals and yoghurts to pancakes to a great selection of fruit. The milk was a bit weird-tasting so I stuck to low fat yoghurt on my granola, which was surprisingly nice! Lunch had a fantastic range of salads as well as hot food and sandwiches/wraps/paninis which could be made up in front of you and then heated up by the chef. Dinner again had a good selection of food and you couldn't possibly go hungry. Something for all tastes. The desserts had to be seen to be believed. Beautifully created and tasty too. My main concern here was the labelling. As someone with a nut allergy, buffets can be a bit dangerous. All the main dishes were labelled clearly with symbols for nuts, dairy, gluten, vegetarian etc. However the desserts all had labels but it wasn't clear which label went with which dessert. As there were so many, it wasn't even possible to work it out by process of elimination and I didn't want to risk it. The first time I was faced with this problem, I asked the staff who were very obliging but merely pointed to the labels along the top but again didn't know which referred to which. I stayed away from the desserts after that, which was good for my waistline! We also tried the included a la carte restaurants which were also excellent, though they get booked up quickly. When we arrived the following 3 or 4 days were totally booked up. The ocean restaurant was delicious (especially for someone who doesn't really like fish) and service was friendly. The Italian restaurant was also great quality but our favourite was the Turkish restaurant with excellent food and service from a very entertaining waiter. We didn't try the restaurants with a surcharge. Why would you when you can get excellent food from the restaurants you've already paid for? With the exception of those two restaurants, it really was all inclusive with drinks available at all bars and restaurants and the waiters are very good at topping up water and offering more wine or beer or anything else. There is also a coffee shop serving tea, coffee, cakes and ice cream if you can't wait until dinner. The mini bar in our room was also stocked daily with plenty of water and soft drinks at no extra charge. It was also good to have cold bottled water available at all bars to take with us on day trips. They also said that they could make up a packed lunch if you informed them the night before. We weren't organised enough to do this but it's good to have the option. We really enjoyed the sports offering, despite not being very sporty people. We joined in the aqua aerobics which took place in the activity pool around midday. We also did a couple of yoga sessions. The sunset yoga at 7pm was the best as it was a bit too hot at 4pm! The star of the show was Emily who put far more energy into the aqua aerobics than either of her male colleagues. Though props to all 3 for doing the routines in the boiling sun in the heat of the day on the side of the pool. The shows were fantastic and something we really looked forward to each night. 45 mins flew by. The cast of 5 were very versatile with shows from ABBA to a West End medley-type show, Beatles night and rock night. Once a week they fly in an act from the UK. We had an Aretha Franklin tribute and a soul man! They both were good, in a funny way we missed seeing our show cast on those days. We had got to chat to them after the shows so felt like we knew them by the end. Tilly and Damian were our favourites. Most of the shows were outside but on our final night, the show moved inside for the first time that season. The weather was fine so it could have carried on outside a little longer but I suppose they didn't want people getting chilly. The show team also performed in the Sorgun Lounge (bar) after the main shows. We only went to a couple but they were very good. The staff were all so accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. Thomson reps were also available all day which is handy compared to resorts where they visit for 45 mins a few times per week. All in all it was a great holiday and we have already booked our next trip to Sensatori in Crete. We hope it lives up to expectations. Note that despite all the trouble in Turkey there were no problems in this area. If you're worried, don't be, take the great deal and off you go!More
Best holiday ever had
Absolutely fantastic 2 weeks here. Cannot fault it. We stayed with our 3 children aged 8, 5 & 2 and had the best holiday ever. Everything immaculate, food was excellent (slightly repetitive towards the end of the 2 weeks but you get that anywhere). We had booked for the Sensatori in Olu Deniz for 2017 but have cancelled sadly. More
We very rarely go back to the same hotel but we've been here four times. It has maybe slid a little in the 3 years it's been open. You used to get plastic cocktail glasses of the right shape around the pool, you don't any more. Hardly a real complaint though. All meal times have a huge selection of food and all is very well cooked. The piano bar at night is very good. Rooms are large and modern. The grounds are immaculate. The only real negative I can think of is the beach. It's an odd mix of sand/grass/shingle. No soft sand here. More
