The Barut Hotel Andiz is brand new for summer 2013, and the property’s owners couldn’t have picked a better spot to build it on. All that separates the hotel from the beach is a pretty park and a long seafront promenade. Walk along the promenade for about 15 minutes, and you'll find yourself in the centre of Side.

Rooms have been designed with couples in mind. Each one will come with a king-size bed, bath robes and slippers, and a calming colour scheme of gold and cream. For something really special, you can upgrade to a swim-up room or one that comes with a whirlpool bath.

The swimming pool will be surrounded by sunloungers and parasols. There will be a spa on site, too, where you can get massages and other beauty treatments.

There will be 2 restaurants at the hotel. The first will serve buffet-style meals, the second will be an à la carte, which specialises in Turkish dishes. The à la carte will be set on a first-floor terrace, where you can look out over the sea while you’re eating. If you get peckish between meals, the hotel will have its own patisserie, where you can get cakes, cookies and ice-cream.
