Beaches

The beach is the resort's star attraction. Coarse, golden sand stretches as far as the eye can see and shelves gently into the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean.

Eating out

The hotels offer sumptuous cuisine and tantalising menus featuring traditional Turkish dishes and international meals. Head to Antalya's winding streets for a more intimate dining experience. The Ottomans introduced the concept of outdoor eating to Europe so there are dozens of excellent al fresco restaurants where you can enjoy your food beneath a clear, star studded sky.

Nightlife

The nightlife in Lara Beach itself is limited to hotel entertainment, which is typically first-class. For more variety, Antalya boasts a myriad of bars, clubs and discos, mainly centred around the harbour area. For a true Turkish insight, visit a live music venue and immerse yourself in the rhythms of 'halk' and 'turku'.

Shopping

From rustic covered bazaars overflowing with Turkish carpets and bespoke jewellery to sophisticated malls flaunting well-known British brands, nearby Antalya is awash with shopping opportunities. Lara Beach itself has plenty of hotels boasting minimarkets and souvenir shops.

Local information

During your holiday visit a Turkish bath, known locally as a 'hammam'. An age-old tradition, bathers relax on a large, heated stone and allow the warmth of the room to relax them before indulging in a soapy, invigorating massage.
