With a good location, a pick of swimming pools, and a lively entertainment scene, the Globales Tamaimo Tropical Hotel is spot on for families.
These apartments are in a great spot for getting out and about. They’re just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Puerto de Santiago, and a small beach is even closer by.
Studios and apartments are simple and bright – think tiled floors, pine-wood furniture, and blue-and-white fabrics. They all come with a balcony, and a kitchenette for when it’s time to cook up something to eat.

3 outdoor pools
Set at the heart of the resort, surrounded by a wide sunbathing terrace, is the main pool. The pool bar snack bar is nearby, so you can enjoy the full day just lazing in the sun. There are two other pools to pick from, one is a little quieter, and one comes heated in winter.
International buffet restaurant*
The restaurant has a choice of either a buffet continental, or full English breakfast. International cuisine is served up for lunch, plus there's show cooking and weekly theme nights, too.
Morrocoyo Italian restaurant*
There is an Italian speciality buffet restaurant open for dinner from Thursday to Sunday serving a range of traditional local, and Italian pasta and pizza specialities. A reservation is required. Just so you know, if the hotel's occupancy is low, the restaurant may only open three nights a week.

BACK TO PARADISE
Returned once again to this hotel on the 21st Feb for 2 weeks. Reception staff very quick and efficient, gave us the same room as last time. Room was very clean, cleaned 6 days a week and fresh towels every day. Good to see a lot of the same staff that were there in October especially Raxcia who always had a smile on his face. Building work going on while we where there but this did not spoil our holiday. We have just one concern, the bar that was next to the restaurant has moved over into the corner of the entertainment room where there are tables that are bolted to the floor and chairs all round them. We think this will cause a problem in the high season as there will be sun loungers all in front of the tables and may cause accidents when adults and children are trying to get a drink or ice cream. Food and drinks still good. All the staff very friendly. Look forward to seeing you all in July and October or November.More
Our opinion of our one week stay
POSITIVES Food available, plentiful, varied and of good quality. Swimming pool areas kept very clean. Never a problem to find a sunbed or parasol despite the early morning rush to secure one near the pool!!! NEGATIVES. Very steep terrain and you need to be 100% fit to walk anywhere. 108 steps to the nearest bus stop. Although the rooms were clean there is a SEVERE lack of storage for clothes. One single wardrobe minus a door and only half length so dresses had to hang over the edge. Not sufficient deep drawers.More

Depends on your colour
This is a beautiful island with great weather. If you are black and fancy a trip back to the 1950s, then this is the place for you! Basically, don't go there if you're black because you'll be like an alien with a lot of people who seem to actually be living in the 50s (or earlier!). If you're black, consider another resort. Honestly, you'll be saving yourself a lot of aggro and if you do go, go with a few friends.More
In need of updating and noisy.
We were awake by 7.00am -7.30am every morning from the clattering of cleaners and other hotel workers. This was added to by the people running out to reserve sunbeds with towels from early on.We never managed to get near the pool all week because they all had towels on them from a ridiculous time.Lots of notices to say no towels on sunbeds but not upheld by staff. We were self catering but no toaster in our apartment. When I spoke to our rep she managed to get us one,she was really good. Some of the staff were good and helpful and some didn't seem to care. One afternoon there was a tap on our door followed by a worker barging in to use our phone to talk to reception. We put the lock on after that.He was back trying to get in 10 minutes later.Glad we didn't eat there after finding a huge cockroach outside our apartment and a smaller one inside.I would not use this hotel again but will not let it put me off returning to Tenerife.Nice area and a beautiful walk to Los Gigantes.Have stayed in many hotels throughout the canaries and this has to be the only one I would not return to.If you like to hear bingo numbers being shouted out loudly through the afternoon then this is the place for you.If you want peace and quiet don't come here.More
