With a good location, a pick of swimming pools, and a lively entertainment scene, the Globales Tamaimo Tropical Hotel is spot on for families.
These apartments are in a great spot for getting out and about. They’re just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Puerto de Santiago, and a small beach is even closer by.
Studios and apartments are simple and bright – think tiled floors, pine-wood furniture, and blue-and-white fabrics. They all come with a balcony, and a kitchenette for when it’s time to cook up something to eat.

3 outdoor pools
Set at the heart of the resort, surrounded by a wide sunbathing terrace, is the main pool. The pool bar snack bar is nearby, so you can enjoy the full day just lazing in the sun. There are two other pools to pick from, one is a little quieter, and one comes heated in winter.
International buffet restaurant*
The restaurant has a choice of either a buffet continental, or full English breakfast. International cuisine is served up for lunch, plus there's show cooking and weekly theme nights, too.
Morrocoyo Italian restaurant*
There is an Italian speciality buffet restaurant open for dinner from Thursday to Sunday serving a range of traditional local, and Italian pasta and pizza specialities. A reservation is required. Just so you know, if the hotel's occupancy is low, the restaurant may only open three nights a week.

VERY GOOD 3 STAR HOTEL
This is a very good 3 star hotel, the reception staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and spacious, all the rooms have a fridge in them. There is always plenty of hot water. Food in the restaurant was very good, plenty of choice, always a choice of 2 soups in the evening. It is one of the best breakfasts I have had abroad. You are really spoilt for choice in the evening. The snack bar also had a good selection of food, that is cooked fresh. There are plenty of sunbeds, yes they are reserved from about 8.00am !! I have never stayed in a hotel where sunbeds are not reserved. There is a Solarium on the roof which is only for adults, they have just installed a Jacuzzi up there. It didn't say when that would be open. The entertainment was very good for a 3 star hotel, the animation team worked very hard. A lot of people sat in the reception area in the evening. It would be good if they had a drinks machine there. It is a quiet area but there are enough bars and shops. The transfer is about 50 minutes. It is a good family hotel with something for everyone. Yes I will be returning, I had a good relaxing time.More
Good value for money
My husband and I have just returned from an 11 night holiday here and we loved it. The apartments need updating but everywhere was kept immaculately clean and maintained. We had to change rooms as the road noise was awful and there was a problem with the drains however, the staff were very nice and helpful and put us in a much bigger and better apartment. I agree with others that you have to get your sun beds at 8 am if you want to sunbathe by the pool unfortunately most places are like that now, it is what it is. We went self catering because we like to go out and about so didn't eat there at all. There were lovely restaurants and bars just outside the hotel which we ate at and all were very nice, particularly the Indian restaurant we highly recommend it, it doesn't look much but the food is excellent. My favourite part was the views of the sea from the solarium, an adults only sunbathing area but unfortunately they started working up there the last 3 days so we weren't allowed to go up there. The views are amazing and the peace & quiet is great. We will hopefully return next year More

Large clean hotel
We found this hotel to be large with 2 pool areas. The staff were lovely we had to change rooms due to noise from the road and they were very helpful, The rooms were very clean and corridors. The reasons I wouldn't return to this hotel the rush for sunbeds in the morning if you didn't have one by the pool before 830 you couldn't have one they were stacked up but no where to place them, The bar area for evening only served drinks in plastic cups I don't mind during the day around the pool but not on an evening we went out at night. Food was ok there was always something to eat. I think this hotel is mainly for families.More
Myself and my husband have stayed here before which was fine for us as we were always out and about and only really used the hotel to sleep or sunbath .. anyway came here at Christmas with our kids and wasn't impressed at all .. the entertainment wasn't very good .. my children are normally very easily pleased but they became board and wasnt impressed . We had a room right next to the entertainment room ,all I can say is luckily my children are good sleepers ... getting in and out of our room was a nightmare during the day as people were sunbathing right out side our room and had no concern to the people's rooms they were blocking .. never ate here so can't comment on the food . Definitely wouldn't stay here with my children again. Staff were friendly enough and cleaners very good. If it was just myself and husband holidaying i would consider staying here again as it's a good base and we like the area . I would not stay in a room near the evening entertainment again though . The hotel is mid-range. Rooms were clean, but not without flaws (crack on door, tiles, etc.) Everything was in working order except for the balcony doors which kept breaking. The staff were really helpful and could not be thanked more for looking after us. Food was good with enough variety to keep you going, but we mostly stuck to the salads and grilled fish/meat. The pools were great, although it was incredible how many towels decided to sunbath throughout the day without any owners in site. There is a "policy" not to reserve beds with towels, but the hotel staff never removed any that were unattended which was most of them! Contrary to popular belief there is one heated pool which definitely felt marginally warmer than the others.More
