With a good location, 5 swimming pools, and a lively entertainment scene, this place is spot on for families. The apartments are a good size, too. It's also bagged a nice and central spot, so shops, bars, and restaurants are on hand.
These apartments are in a great spot for getting out and about. They’re just a five-minute walk from the nearest shops, restaurants and bars, and ten minutes from the centre of Puerto de Santiago. What’s more, Puerto Santiago or Playa la Arena beach is less than a five-minute drive away, so it’s easy to fit in some time on the sand. If you want to explore the rest of Tenerife, meanwhile, buses run from the centre of town.
Back at the apartments, most of the action takes place around the pools. There are five of them here, including two for little ones. They’re all bordered by palms, loungers and parasols, and a thatched pool bar offers up drinks and snacks throughout the day. You can expect plenty in the way of pool-based games, too, like water polo and aqua aerobics. Elsewhere, there’s darts, boules and archery.
When it comes to mealtimes, ‘choice’ is the watchword. The restaurant has a buffet set up, and in the mornings you can look forward to the likes of cooked breakfasts, pastries with a selection of jams and marmalades. For lunch and dinner, international favourites like pizza and spaghetti bolognaise sit alongside fish and rice dishes.
Lastly, a word on entertainment. This place has two bars, so you’re all set for after-dinner cocktails. If you want to up the pace a little, though, head over to the lounge area – there’s entertainment here most nights, with quizzes, cabaret shows and karaoke all on the agenda.

Not for the picky
This was our 3rd visit and like my two previous reviews you get what you pay for, simple.Yes the rooms could do with upgrading the bathroom has been done,so you now get a nice walk in shower.Everwhere is kept clean and tidyWe go self catering so can't comment about the food, but there's plenty of places to eat a matter of minutes away all are very good, try the tapas bar just down from Route 66 ,very good value.People who complain about the sunbed situation have a point, but my advise, join them, after all it can't be too much of a bother to get up at 7.45.The wifi is poor, but most of the bars have it for free and reception is fine.A previous review claims there is no kids play area, there is,our room was 20 yards away, didn't see any kids using it so perhaps it's not signposted very well. Finally if you can get a deal,we paid just over £300 for two weeks, grab it,you won't be disappointed.More

Back to Tomaimo tropical (3rd time)
Well its that time of year, and back to Tomaimo Tropical again. And once again I had a brill time, Booked a studio apartment, but was given a one bed apartment, didnt mind that.. One down side to this was I was directly above the reception sliding doors and the road on one side and staircase and lift on the other,, but hey ho, it wasn't to bad. The app was comfortable but tired (as usual).. quite a few of the tiles on the floor were either loose or broken. The hotel wifi is still crap, which is a shame, you get better wifi out and about, TheBlarney Stone in Playa de Arena being one of them,, and they do a fantastic English breaky, and the staff are really nice. But went self catering, and as usual the local restaurants were as good as ever, the welcome and the food were second to none. the walk way to Los Gigantes has had a revamp and looking really nice.. Playa de Arena was a little bit quiet, the beach was up to usual standard.. All in all it was another good holiday.. I know the hotel gets a lot of bad reviews, but if you can look past the bad bits, its a good cheap holiday..More

We have just returned from spending 4 weeks at this hotel we cannot fault this hotel in any way. We were self catering as we wanted to explore the area & try out different restaurants, we also ate in the hotel restaurant a few times. We were in apt 460 balcony overlooked 2 of the 5 pools on the other side there is a lovely courtyard garden. The cleaners on our floor were brilliant nothing was a problem always went of their way to make sure you had everything you needed, on saying that we found staff in all the departments very friendly and helpful. We will be returning to this hotel in the future as we had a great time.More

We went for 1 week in August 2014, my husband, me, my 3 year old and my 13 year old. I know this is a 3 star hotel so wasn't expecting much but it wasn't nice at all. Mouldy kettle in room, leaky ceiling, banging and crashing outside our room at 6am and 11pm (think it was the cellar outside our room with beer barrels being moved). NO chance of a sunbed unless you are out waiting by the pool at 7.30am for the mad dash to get one once the man came round to unlock them, I have never seen anything like it! The pool was nice though (if you were able to get a sunbed). The main restaurant didn't have air-con, and was awfully hot so we had to just eat and go as quickly as possible as it was unbearable. I was also sold this holiday with the hotel having a children's playground and mini golf facilities at the hotel. THERE IS NO CHILDRENS PLAYGROUND OR MINI GOLF AT THIS HOTEL, despite it being advertised at the time we booked and signs around the hotel for them! So if you want a playground don't go here! Thank goodness we only booked 1 week! Wont be going back.More

good value for money
My husband and I have just returned from a weeks all inclusive stay at this hotel, we could'nt fault it for the price we paid. The room we were in was nice and clean, towels nice and white as was the bedding. Food was fine and plenty. Staff very pleasant and helpful, as so was the Thomson rep, Lee. Choice of two nice pools. although they were both to cold to go in!! Would I recommend this hotel to friends and family - yes I would.More
