With a good location, a pick of swimming pools, and a lively entertainment scene, the Globales Tamaimo Tropical Apartments are spot on for families.
These apartments are in a great spot for getting out and about. They’re just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Puerto de Santiago, and a quick taxi ride from a couple of nearby beaches.
Studios and apartments are simple and bright – think tiled floors, pine-wood furniture, and blue-and-white fabrics. They all come with a balcony, and a kitchenette for when it’s time to cook up something to eat.

Basic, wouldn't go all inclusive again.
Hotel is basic, but you get what you pay for so cant really fault it! Room was spacious and clean, bed was uncomfortable but nothing major! We had a balcony overlooking the quieter pool which was nice. We visited at the end of November so we didn't have to deal with any noise really apart from the entertainment room that was near our room but we didn't mind. Only downfall was that if you went all inclusive there wasn't much choice for food, there is a pool snack bar but it was just pieces of meat in trays which looked as though they had been sat there all day. The food from the main buffet is nice, but can get repetitive. The big plus of this hotel was that the entertainment guy was so lovely and friendly! He even managed to get me up on the karaoke, and always said hello when we saw him walking around the hotel. Would recommend, just not as all inclusive as i got bored of the food very quickly.More

Great hotel.....1st time all inclusive
We returned from our holiday in Tenerife this morning & left the UK on May 3rd. Our first time in Tenerife (& our 1st ever all inclusive) but as we have always hired a car on the other Canary Islands, especially Lanzarote, we decided to book one for collection at the airport....autopluscar.com, very recommended. The resort & hotel were easy to find & check in was a breeze. Our room key did not work so I returned to reception to lots of apologies & a new key card in under a minute. Our Room 202 was on the 2nd floor over looking the main pools & daytime bar/BBQ. The room was very clean & comfortable and we were very lucky to have a 2 bedroom apartment with kitchenette when there was only 2 of us! A nice dressing room for me Lol. Even the friendly maid commented one morning when she arrived as we were leaving. The food was good & varied at every meal. Although there isn't much variety you can serve at breakfast! We enjoyed the food at both the inside Buffett restaurant & the poolside 'BBQ'. The bar selection was good & the staff again friendly, especially Sandra who got to know our order very quickly! The quieter swimming pool near to the entertainment bar was unfortunately closed as from the Tuesday but a letter was put under our door apologising for this as it was due to a fault/maintenance issue & that the management were extremely apologetic for this fact. Yes people did reserve their sunbeds even though told not too........however this gave us lots of amusement watching the 'organisation' every morning at 8-9am! We did put our towels out on 1 day but for every other day we had no problems getting beds together when we wanted them. Lifeguards were always on duty and present & all of the staff at the hotel were friendly & approachable. Again for those who have given negative reviews.........you do have to pay a refundable deposit of â¬10 for the TV remote but that is all you pay & yes it is refunded. I managed to get internet on my phone but you would have to go to reception for 30minutes a day for free wi-fi & this area was quite warm. But for us we were on holiday so how much wi-fi do you need?! The resort was lovely. Don't read the brochure & ignore that there are hills & steps and then complain! Turn left out of the hotel towards Los Gigantes and head down some steps toward the harbour. Loads of little shops & bar/restaurants. The beach at Playa de Arena was approx 20 minute walk away (but we are fairly speedy!) and the black sands are beautiful & again lifeguard on duty. Must do trip is the dolphin/whale watching with mascaexpress.com.......this was excellent & we had time for a swim in the cove at Masca bay. They do short trips & also a pirate ship experience which would be great for children young & old! We don't like over busy resorts so this was perfect for us with plenty around if you didn't have a car. Beaches, swimming, kayaking & snorkelling available as well as walking. Tamaimo Hotel was a fab bargain break that we would recommend especially if you enjoy people watching lol!!More
Just had 2 fabulous weeks at Tamaimo Tropical on all inclusive basis. Food good, always plenty choice. Very clean accommodation and pools cleaned daily. All staff very friendly. Entertainment during day and evening. Area around hotel a bit hilly. I paid for WIFI and although pricey at least I could use it when and where I wanted. Did not have any problems with it.More
Do not stop during Spanish bank holiday and more
Arrived on 1 May, waited 1hour to check in due to queue at reception. Two receptionists with only one computer and lots of waving of hands and heated conversations from guests trying to check in. When eventually got to the front of the queue the receptionist looked at us as if we had just run over his dog. Made our way to the room we had booked a room with kitchenette. The kitchenette had been removed and there was only a fridge. Opened door to the balcony and we were greeted by thumping music from the pool bar and the pool was surrounded by sun beds with so many people that you would struggle to walk round the pool the noise from the number of people was that loud that we had to shout to hear each other. We were informed that it was the Spanish bank holiday. The apartments were filled beyond capacity. Had to queue for drinks and meals we were all inclusive but it was that bad that we chose to stay away from the complex for the first three days of our holiday. Day 4 and things calmed the hotel then chose to close and refurbish the quiet pool, the maid broke our toilet which took three requests to fix. How could it get any worse day 5 although not the complex this time we were woken at 11:45 to loud base dance music which continued until 6am. Our room 305 backed onto a discotheque. This repeated again on day 6 and we couldn't wait until we could return home the next morning. This was the worst break we have ever had it took us two days to recover from the expected relaxing holiday. Luckily we arrived back on Friday and had the weekend to recover before returning to work for a rest. We are easy going and this is the first time we have left a review and had the need to complain to our tour operator in 25 years of holidaying together.More

Didn't think much of this hotel. Asked at reception about water and was told to buy it at shop. We were all inclusive. Only one socket worked in the room and the fridge didn't work, also door to the balcony wasn't very secure and as we were on the ground floor felt uneasy about leaving the room. Wouldn't book again.More
