With a good location, 5 swimming pools, and a lively entertainment scene, this place is spot on for families. The apartments are a good size, too. It's also bagged a nice and central spot, so shops, bars, and restaurants are on hand.
These apartments are in a great spot for getting out and about. They’re just a five-minute walk from the nearest shops, restaurants and bars, and ten minutes from the centre of Puerto de Santiago. What’s more, Puerto Santiago or Playa la Arena beach is less than a five-minute drive away, so it’s easy to fit in some time on the sand. If you want to explore the rest of Tenerife, meanwhile, buses run from the centre of town.
Back at the apartments, most of the action takes place around the pools. There are five of them here, including two for little ones. They’re all bordered by palms, loungers and parasols, and a thatched pool bar offers up drinks and snacks throughout the day. You can expect plenty in the way of pool-based games, too, like water polo and aqua aerobics. Elsewhere, there’s darts, boules and archery.
When it comes to mealtimes, ‘choice’ is the watchword. The restaurant has a buffet set up, and in the mornings you can look forward to the likes of cooked breakfasts, pastries with a selection of jams and marmalades. For lunch and dinner, international favourites like pizza and spaghetti bolognaise sit alongside fish and rice dishes.
Lastly, a word on entertainment. This place has two bars, so you’re all set for after-dinner cocktails. If you want to up the pace a little, though, head over to the lounge area – there’s entertainment here most nights, with quizzes, cabaret shows and karaoke all on the agenda.
Set at the heart of the resort, surrounded by a wide sunbathing terrace, and ideally placed to make the most of the daily sun, this pool is the place for fun with the kids or lively banter with friends. The pool bar snack bar is nearby, so you can enjoy the full day just lazing in the sun.
There is an Italian speciality buffet restaurant open for dinner from Thursday to Sunday. serving a range of traditional local, and Italian pasta and pizza specialities. A reservation is required. Just so you know, if the hotel's occupancy is low, the restaurant may only open 3 nights a week.
lovely resort with excellent daily maid service and good facilities. location good-handy to all amenities. had mixed feelings re all the bad comments but we were pleasantly surprised and had no gripes at all. def would return.More

Very Good 3 star hotel
Not long back after a week's all inclusive with my Partner. We read a lot of mixed reviews about the Tamaimo Tropical Hotel before we booked, so we went with a very open mind..bearing in mind the very reasonable cost of the holiday.
On arrival at the hotel, we we're greeted by the very friendly and exceptionally well presented night staff at reception, then onto the room, upon opening the door, we realised instantly that the bad reviewers did not stay in our room (No. 224)!!
We had a very spacious clean and modern room on the 2nd floor, with a view overlooking the pool and pool bar, it had all the self catering facilities needed, though we we're all inclusive.. a selection of meats, cheeses and bread were left in the fridge, as our arrival was at 2 a.m.
We explored the hotel the next morning..and yes..there were a few areas for improvement, i.e. cleanliness of the north pool area, but this was mainly down to the clientele, not the hotel staff!!
There was a storm of biblical proportions that day and the staff were doing everything they could to make the facilities safe and useable..they could not be faulted!!
People complained about the food..I reckon only the very picky eaters should complain..even then they certainly wouldn't starve!
There could've been more staff at the bars..but those who were there were very efficient and effective!
Yes there wasn't enough space for the number of sunbeds..but there is a roof terrace, where only adults are allowed..very quiet and peaceful if you are a couple with no children!
Close to the hotel there are a few supermarkets and bars..route 66 was particularly good, where a band called "Old dogs new tricks" play every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursdays..Cracking nights!. The Caappuccino bar at the waterfront is particularly good too..only a very short walk down a steep bank..their wifi was very good too for everyone on the social networks (the wifi at reception in the hotel is very poor..did a speed check and it came back with 0.02mbits/sec..half dial-up speed or thereabouts).
All in all..the hotel is very good..not excellent..but I have paid heck of a lot more for a heck of a lot worse hotels before! I would rate this hotel..and the only reason I wouldn't stay in it again..is because I like to try variety and stay at other places!
Try and request a room on the south side of the complex..everyone seems happy with them (rooms 120-150, 220-250, 320-350, 420-450)..you won't be disappointed.
Please ignore the negative reviews..or at least read and make your own mind up..but then again..you should always travel with an open mind!!More

PLEASE GIVE THIS HOTEL A WIDE BIRTH
This hotel is the worst place i have ever stayed dirty rooms smell of sewage patio doors fall of in your hand. The rooms have numerous cracked tiles and are flithy the cleaner manage to clean the room in 82 seconds could be a world record.the pool has a black bottom with blue sides is it dirt or lack of paint. The shower was either ice bucket challenge or as if somebody had poured a kettle of boiling water over you.The rep was an even bigger joke not at all interested in the health and safety of his tourists. Please do not go here they could make a CARRY ON FILM about it. After our third room in two days which were all at the same level of danger we moved out. Also the nail bar is at the same standard as the hotel an absolute jokeMore

It does what it says on the tin!
Just back from 5 days all inclusive with my daughter just to get some last minute sun and the weather was wonderful - the hotel is a 3* and it ticks that box - however, I would disagree with some of the negative comments about the cleanliness - the cleaning staff were lovely and the rooms spotless - perhaps they have tried to improve this aspect of their service. All the staff were polite and we were able to move from a studio apartment to a room with a balcony, at no extra cost which was a lot better. The hotel was packed, loads of children so if you are looking for peace and quiet this is not the place. The buffet food was fine and the wine, beer and branded soft drinks were excellent. I would have to agree that the beds are very hard but all in all for what we paid, it was excellent value for money.More

I have just returned from a weeks family holiday at this hotel with my wife and two children and will not be returning.
* room was ok, clean and spacious
* one heated outdoor pool
* nice resort
Now for the negatives (brace yourself)
* 30⬠for a safety deposit box which didn't include the deposit.
* the beds were terrible, short single beds whereby my feet hung over tbe edge and possibly the most lumpy uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on and I have slept in some rough places.
* the pool side was over crowded.
* The small bins poolside were filled after around one hour and not emptied till tbe evening which given it was all inclusive was bound to happen therefore pigeons and flies galore.
* The pool was not cleaned daily.
* The poolside was not cleaned of an evening (unless you call a bloke swilling some pool water on the floor).
* The food was awful, mass produced grease. The food at the poolside snack bar lay sat in hot trays for hours with stale bread swarming with flies and pigeons.
* The table lay out were 2,4,5&6 seat tables. The maitre de insisted on seating two people on four seat tables near the french doors forcing four person families to eat next to where the food was being served where the temperature was too hot to eat. When I tried to sit on a 5 seater he insisted these were reserved for larger families but when I asked two people could sit at a four seater he could offer no reason. The guy was a complete idiot.
In short the resort is lovely just not the hotel. Accommodation average, poolside overcrowded and dirty, food terrible.
Please do not waste your money on this awful hotel.More
