Globales Tamaimo Tropical Apartments

With a good location, 5 swimming pools, and a lively entertainment scene, this place is spot on for families. The apartments are a good size, too. It's also bagged a nice and central spot, so shops, bars, and restaurants are on hand.

These apartments are in a great spot for getting out and about. They’re just a five-minute walk from the nearest shops, restaurants and bars, and ten minutes from the centre of Puerto de Santiago. What’s more, Puerto Santiago or Playa la Arena beach is less than a five-minute drive away, so it’s easy to fit in some time on the sand. If you want to explore the rest of Tenerife, meanwhile, buses run from the centre of town.

Back at the apartments, most of the action takes place around the pools. There are five of them here, including two for little ones. They’re all bordered by palms, loungers and parasols, and a thatched pool bar offers up drinks and snacks throughout the day. You can expect plenty in the way of pool-based games, too, like water polo and aqua aerobics. Elsewhere, there’s darts, boules and archery.

When it comes to mealtimes, ‘choice’ is the watchword. The restaurant has a buffet set up, and in the mornings you can look forward to the likes of cooked breakfasts, pastries with a selection of jams and marmalades. For lunch and dinner, international favourites like pizza and spaghetti bolognaise sit alongside fish and rice dishes.

Lastly, a word on entertainment. This place has two bars, so you’re all set for after-dinner cocktails. If you want to up the pace a little, though, head over to the lounge area – there’s entertainment here most nights, with quizzes, cabaret shows and karaoke all on the agenda.

Holiday from hell !!! I'm just back after a week October 2014. Room flooded three times during a storm,a broken water pipe dripped constantly outside our door for 7 days and nights, electricticty tripped 3 times , air-conditioning actually went on fire and every time we asked to be moved the reception had no interest and fobbed us off saying they had no spare rooms but promised a move when one became available ( which never did). The food and drink is atrocious we went all inclusive but took our armbands off after 3 days. Food was set out for lunch when it wasn't eaten it was reinvented as a pasta or rice dish for dinner.we dined out at local restaurants and bars for breakfast lunch and dinner, well worth the extra expense. The Thomas cook representative was useless, untrained, unprofessional and incompetent . The sunbeds have towels on them all day and no one uses them , the entertainment is not what the oxford dictionary would describe as entertainment. The beer tastes like slops , the wine should be challenged by using the definition of wine , the soft drinks have branded names on them but believe me if the branded reps arrived they wouldn't be too happy. 3 star ????? More like 0 star at a push.More

Great holiday

I'm here right now until Sunday with my girlfriend and it has been the perfect holiday. The hotel is clean, good food at breakfast lunch and dinner. Been dolphin watching today which was brilliant. The only one thing I would moan about is that I have got up before 6 to put my towels out but now people just leave there towels on the sunbeds at night so I have joined the crowd to get a good bed. Would highly recommend this hotel ignore bad reviews if you want a 5 star hotel pay an extra 1000 more this is great value for money and a perfect resort with local shops and bars. We are all inclusive so haven't really been out but will be venturing out tonight. There are 3 beaches close by but the only one worth taking a look at is 15 mins walk to Los gigantes More

Richard R,

I Love This Hotel!!

My Second Visit to this same hotel, its perfect go to few shops in the day or on little trips and then sunbave in afternoon. Entertainment werent as good this year but i dont mind me and my boyfriend always went round the corner to the pubs in the night play some pool got some food and bed ready for the next day. Its a beautiful place not right in the middle of the busy life but not too far away. Foods ok it could be better, lets just say never go hungry theres always chips lol. Upgrades have been done to the rooms showers\flat screen Tv's. Still only give you two cups at once should be able to get s pint then there wouldnt be so much of a quee all the time. Wifi in reception or you can buy it for few hours. it seemed really slow this year. Would deff return next year but only to take family to show. steph.22More

StephanieThompson21,

Great time!

We just been for 2 weeks all inclusive with 2 kids (2 and 4 years old). We had a lovely holiday, the ground floor apartment we had was functional and above all very clean. The 2 girls from Kidsclub were great! The food was not really special (not very hot so use the microwave) but ok. The service in the restaurant and reception was good and friendly. Bar staff around the pool needs to learn to smile...All the pools and especially the kids pool (!!!) are from 7 am in the morning full of non parents that 'reserve' their sunbeds with their towels. And although it was funny to watch the first couple of days you have to do it too otherwise you don't have a sunbed! Absolutely appalling. The reason people 'reserve their sunbeds is because everybody wants a recliner sunbed. Solution: get rid of the other flat ones and replace them for the recliner ones, it is that simple!!! Also, if you put a nice colorful wooden gate around the (little) kids pool, kids can't wonder off (like ours...) keeps parents happy and it keep it free from (smoking) non parents. Easy solution... Overall, we had a great time but the 'pool problems' let the hotel down a little.More

Another good value holiday

This is our second visit here, and one of the problems of people who write negative reviews is that they hav forgotten that they have booked a 3 star hotel in Tenerife, and not a 3 star hotel in the UK. The difference between the two countries is quite significant. If people want a 'Ritz' standard, then they need to look at hotels with a 5 star rating. We had a great time, and knew what to expect from this hotel and the staff. I agree that some things can be irritating when you are on holiday, but that's life I am afraid. The food was fine and we never had any issues, but when they are trying to feed 300 people at the same time, sometimes it can be difficult. Personally, I would have preferred a slightly wider choice of some of the food, but none of us were unable to find something we liked. Sunbeds were a problem, but blame the British who put there towels at midnight. The pool was clean and tidy, as were the rooms. I must admit that the hotel is a bit rough around the edges, but a few minor tweaks could make it far better. Overall we had a good time as did most of the people we spoke to. Do not be put off by some of the negative comments on this site.More
