Globales Tamaimo Tropical Apartments

These apartments are in a great spot for getting out and about. They’re just a five-minute walk from the nearest shops, restaurants and bars, and ten minutes from the centre of Puerto de Santiago. What’s more, Puerto Santiago or Playa la Arena beach is less than a five-minute drive away, so it’s easy to fit in some time on the sand. If you want to explore the rest of Tenerife, meanwhile, buses run from the centre of town.

Back at the apartments, most of the action takes place around the pools. There are five of them here, including two for little ones. They’re all bordered by palms, loungers and parasols, and a thatched pool bar offers up drinks and snacks throughout the day. You can expect plenty in the way of pool-based games, too, like water polo and aqua aerobics. Elsewhere, there’s darts, boules and archery.

When it comes to mealtimes, ‘choice’ is the watchword. The restaurant has a buffet set up, and in the mornings you can look forward to the likes of cooked breakfasts, pastries with a selection of jams and marmalades. For lunch and dinner, international favourites like pizza and spaghetti bolognaise sit alongside fish and rice dishes.

Lastly, a word on entertainment. This place has two bars, so you’re all set for after-dinner cocktails. If you want to up the pace a little, though, head over to the lounge area – there’s entertainment here most nights, with quizzes, cabaret shows and karaoke all on the agenda.

First Visit - Fantastic!

I booked this hotel for myself and family of four people for the first 10 days in April, fully inclusive. For a three star hotel, the Tamaimo Tropical exceeded our expectations in every respect. The entire complex was very clean and the rooms were exceptionally clean and regularly serviced by the room staff. The self service restaurant offered a diverse range of cuisine. Breakfast consisted of "full English", Continental style, with huge quantities of food served freshly during the breakfast period. Similarly, lunch and dinner consisted of a range of meats and fish to suit every palate. Alcoholic beverages were available from 10:30 in the morning until midnight, and in copious quantities. To summarise, we never wanted for a single thing and our every need was more than amply met by a happy and eager to please team of staff. During our stay, we didn't hear anyone complain about anything at all. To be frank, there wasn't anything to complain about. Will definitely visit again.More

value for money

We returned home yesterday after a very pleasant weeks holiday.Very good value for money during the kids easter holidays.Basic apartments which could be kept much cleaner by housekeeping.Pigeon poo all over our balcony, that was only washed away by the rain on Saturday! Something should be done by the management to control the pigeons which dominate the complex, both by the swimming pools and on balconies. Our 2 sons aged 12 and 9 loved the kids club and entertainment in the evenings.Very nice helpful staff. You get what you pay for,it's not 4/5 star, but it's good for what you pay.More

We've just returned from tamaimo and had an absolutely fab holiday...great food all the time with a variety, lovely people, bar staff were friendly clean rooms I was so disappointed to leave. We were 3 adults and a 3 yr old and we felt very comfortable here, besides normal check in and check out noises there were no noisy teens etc. I would recommend this hotel to anyone of any age More

Ok, but could be better

This is a ok hotell for these reasons: microwave in the room, cooking top in the room. The list ends there. Why the hotel could be better: the walls in the hotel is like its made of paper, you can actually hear the guest i the next room whisper, and understand what he says! The maid never clean the room, just make up the bed and fold the dirty towels so they look nice. The bathroom was filty with hairs and toothpaste all over the mirrors, sink and glasses by the sink. Impossible to adjust the warmth off the shower.. Many lightbulbs out of function. If you turn on the ac it sounds like a chainsaw is starting inside the wall. Beds are hard and we could feel all the springs through the mattress. Wonder why this is a 3 star hotell:/ More

Was a little worried by all the reviews , but what a fab holiday we had no faults with anything , we decided to go self catering so can't comment on the food , also if we needed any other cooking utensils they would be in the room within the hour :-) great all roundMore
