With a good location, a pick of swimming pools, and a lively entertainment scene, the Globales Tamaimo Tropical Hotel is spot on for families.
These apartments are in a great spot for getting out and about. They’re just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Puerto de Santiago, and a quick taxi ride from a couple of nearby beaches.
Studios and apartments are simple and bright – think tiled floors, pine-wood furniture, and blue-and-white fabrics. They all come with a balcony, and a kitchenette for when it’s time to cook up something to eat.

3 outdoor pools

International buffet restaurant*
The restaurant has a choice of either a buffet continental, or full English breakfast. International cuisine is served up for lunch, plus there's show cooking and weekly theme nights, too.
Morrocoyo Italian restaurant*

Won't be returning - first and last time
Breakfast wasn't too bad, out of the 14 nights we were there we went out 6 nights for meals and we were all inclusive, thank god for the small restaurant round the corner, that was the best part about the holiday. Nothing to do in the local area, entertainment area was a joke. Staff were good. Room was only cleaned once in 14 days and sheets only changed twice. Found cockroach in the bathroom and bird poo on the balcony, so we know the room wasn't cleaned and complained to the management which resulted in us getting our room cleaned for the first time. Took 36 hours to get a proper kettle, as first wouldn't boil and they then put it in someone else's room. Spanish come at weekends, they pay 27 euros a day and get the best treatment. Quiet pool had drum of chlorine poured into it whilst people were in the pool, hence father and son got sick and day after somebody pooed in the pool, which meant they actually properly cleaned the pool. As for the Thomson rep - no good whatsoever. Look forward to going back in December to Los Americas to our good old faithful hotel which is the same star rating as this one, but the service you receive there you would think it's a 5* hotel.More

That's right theft from my room,an I pad and money . Another family had there safe ripped from the wall with all there money in, , another family had a credit card stolen and every time I went back to my room bags had been rummaged through and the management don't seem to care. Plus side bar staff are great especially george and that's it. Food is awful, we nicknamed the beer goldfish water. Spanish take over at the weekend and get preferential treatment like reserved roped off area outside to eat and they take over the place especially the pool, the bar stays open for them and they only play spaniah music after flamenco dancing. You've been warned.More

Ok hotel beware the spanish weekenders!!
Just got back from this hotel after 2weeks all inc not the best ive been too. The rooms are ok but not very clean and beware the robbers keep all valuables locked away. The food is same everyday not much variety but got to say the staff work very hard the best is jorge the bar man had a laugh when he was serving very funny man. The entertainment was poor and the three entertainers didnt do much to help the cause they were lazy an didnt do much. Beware the invasion of spanish weekenders they take over everything an seem to get looked after better. The area around hotel is quiet only a handful of bars and restaurants if you like full English breakfasts got to beechers brook mandy cooks best belly buster ive had abroad and really cheap! Route 66 is also good for cocktails had a good night there. All in all ok hotel but ive been better 3star hotels than this.More

Ok for a cheap holiday.
Arrived late on the 19th June 2015. Quite surprised how nice the hotel looked. We had room 339 which was quite roomy for a family of 4. To be honest wasn't very clean, the maid came twice a week.... And it didn't look any cleaner.. And didn't change sheets.. Just pulled over the covers. We also had to keep and food we'd bought in the cupboard as there were little bugs crawling all over the work top in the kitchen. We firstly booked self catering. And had walked some quite steep steps 108 in total.. To get to lidi. It's quite good and reasonably priced. After realising we could upgrade to all inc, we took that option.. We had 4 days & paid for 3. It worked out £212 for a family of 4. As my 12 year old daughter was classed as an adult. Food was ok, quite repetitive, breakfast was nice.. But I don't know why you would have green beans at breckfast, they were clearly untouched. There was a snack bar if you didn't want to go into lunch which had burgers hotdogs... Chicken. Etc. The POOL area!!! Ughh! Every morning at 9 you'd see ques of people waiting for the sun loungers to be unlocked.. I could not believe my eyes.. They then would leave there towels until late that afternoon.. We found the pool near the children's club was much quiter and had no problems getting a lounger. The mini disco... Lasted for 20 mins.. I think a little more effort wouldn't go a miss to entertain the smaller children. Out & about....well there was nothing. I could not believe it was like a ghost town. This is the middle of June. Never seen a town so quite, with very little shops.. Whilst we were self catering.. We did visit 2 restaurants first night was at steak house el pozo... Beautiful meal and was only 42 euros for a family of 5.. Made a 17 of out group feel very welcome.. We also had a meal at ninos.. Which was also nice.. All in all.. Had a lovely holiday, if your looking for a quite holiday, you'd like this hotel.. But bewere. There's nothing around, we did venture to playa las Americas, which was 25 euros for a family. What a difference in places.More
You gopher what you pay for
We went for a fuss free holiday and that's what we had. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. We upgraded to all inclusive on our arrival and it was definitely worth it, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack bbq, soft and alocoholic drink and ice cream all included. We travelled with Thomson and Lydia our rep was absolutely amazing, e beat we could've asked for. There isn't much to do locally but plenty of excursions a avaliable, the freebirs boat trip is a definite must. Our room was a bit unclean when we arrived but this was soon stored. It's not a 5 star, but you're not paying that. You get 30 mins free WiFi a day. And you have to sit in main reception to use it. We all had a lovely holiday. What the hotel itself lacked, the staff and Lydia made up. It can be loud at night especially if you're at the front, the bins are collected each night. I'd go back.More
