It’s close to the beach and centre of town, but with its extensive gardens, the Hotel Catalonia Las Vegas feels nicely tucked away.
You’ve got mountains in one direction and the ocean in the other, so the views at this place are pretty impressive. A rocky beach and the Lago Martiánez pool complex are just over the road, while the old town is five minutes’ walk away.
Palm trees and tropical blooms sprawl throughout the hotel’s grounds, and into the glasshouse-like lobby. Bedrooms come with pine-wood floors and fixtures, and furnishings in complementary shades of navy.
Full Board buffet meals with show cooking in buffet restaurant.
Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, tea and coffee available between 10.00-23.00.
Ice-cream and snacks available from 10.30-12.00 & 15.30-17.30.

Great value, excellent food, fun entertainmnent
We write on our last day of 7 nights at hotel Catalonia Las Vegas. This was a last minute deal and we couldn't of wanted for better on our relaxing break. The majority of the clientele in the hotel are retired couples, hardly any children and for a young couple who wanted a weeks chilling in the sun we couldn't fault it. The entertainments team were fab, I was a bit hesatent to join in at the start but they made us feel very welcome and we had some great laughs with Maria and Alba. You couldn't fault the food, something different to try every day. Whilst the hotel might not be the poshest place to stay you couldn't fault the cleanliness, service of all the staff and pool facilities. The location is very central and I would strongly recommend a sangria from Pedro. We'll be back.More
Nice friendly hotel in a good location
We booked 7 nights at this hotel for the end of January/ beginning of February at short notice with only a limited knowledge of Tenerife. We were not disappointed. The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly, the food (mostly buffet style) was good and fairly varied. In addition to the buffet there was always an option for a meat and fish dish to be grilled for you while you wait. The hotel is close to the "old town" which was interesting in its own right and a pleasant alternative to being in a hotel complex. There was also a lovel hotel garden to sit in to enjoy your after meal coffee.More

Clean and friendly
This hotel is very well located and I have no complaints regarding cleanliness and food quality in the restaurant. However... we stayed on a half board basis in what essentially is an all inclusive hotel. That in itself is no problem as I have stayed in other hotels on a similar basis and have ridiculously been made to feel like a poor relation in actually having to pay for food and drink! My only gripe is that when buying lunch from the pool bar the food was expensive and of very poor quality. Fortunately there are plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby. We visited in January and although the pool was pleasant enough to swim in, the pool side area was in a lot of shade. The best of the sun could be had on the adults only terrace which got the sun all day. Another gripe here is that there were only 12 beds available when there was space for more. Also worth noting, prime pool side beds were reserved before 8am each morning. We booked through Thomson and having read the reviews from TripAdvisor we requested a high floor with a mountain view. (This is at a supplement and requested via the Thomson site, not directly with the hotel) I am pleased to say we were given a corner room (1007) which had a view of pool, mountain and sea with the benefit of sun all day. As a woman I have been in hotels where I have found lighting and mirrors awkward for doing hair and make up, but must say on this occasion I found the hotel hairdryer very good, and position of electrical sockets for straighters handy. If you plan to hire a car ( we used the company operating within the hotel- 60 euro for 2 day hire of Toyota Yaris , cheaper hire available) be aware parking is not available on site. We were advised to use either the local supermarket underground car park at 5 Euros or free large municipal car park near the circus. We used the municipal - its about a 10 minute walk from the hotel . If your mobilty is good its a nice walk! The roads are good but alittle confusing when approaching towns - beware ! A drive to the mountains is worth it and the roads are pretty good.
Make use of the little train which is just outside the hotel. It's free to use and takes you to Loro Park. This has to be the best zoo ever! A very good winter break. Would be happy to return.More
Great location when in Tenerife
We arrived at the hotel on the 30/1/2016 , we were only staying for a few days . We arrived about 11.00pm , the staff were quick with check in and had saved us some food as we had missed dinner , we stayed half bored , breakfast choice was good although some of it was cold , we only had dinner once and found it poor . The staff were pleasant and I also received a complementary bottle of champagne as it was my birthday . I found the hotel a bit dated but location was fantastic and I would stay again but only bed and breakfast .More
