It’s close to the beach and centre of town, but with its extensive gardens, the Hotel Catalonia Las Vegas feels nicely tucked away.
You’ve got mountains in one direction and the ocean in the other, so the views at this place are pretty impressive. A rocky beach and the Lago Martiánez pool complex are just over the road, while the old town is five minutes’ walk away.
Palm trees and tropical blooms sprawl throughout the hotel’s grounds, and into the glasshouse-like lobby. Bedrooms come with pine-wood floors and fixtures, and furnishings in complementary shades of navy.
Full Board buffet meals with show cooking in buffet restaurant.
Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, tea and coffee available between 10.00-23.00.
Ice-cream and snacks available from 10.30-12.00 & 15.30-17.30.

This was a first visit for me; I was travelling alone, but meeting a friend staying at the same hotel. Most staff were very helpful and pleasant. One of the bar staff was a bit surly, but everyone else was good. I had a medical issue and the receptionist was very helpful with instructions on where to go.
I had a premium room, so the fridge, safe, dressing gown and slippers were included, as was daily replenishment of tea, coffee and milk and the nightly chocolate by the bed.
The room was comfortable, but the bathroom sink was badly cracked. I believe the hotel is in the process of being refurbished.
Unfortunately the hotel next door was being gradually demolished from the top down, using extremely noisy tools, for six days a week, starting at 8am, except on Sundays. This meant that the only time I was able to use the balcony was on a Sunday. The balcony was in the shade after the work had stopped for the day. I approached the Thomson rep, who advised me to make a complaint. Apart from an acknowledgement, I have heard nothing nearly two months later. I did not approach the hotel staff about it; I was there and I decided to make the best of my holiday, but I understand that hotel staff moved people to different rooms if they asked. My friend had a mountain-view room and loved it - a beautiful changing view of Mount Teide.
The food was good for meat-eaters, but variable for vegetarians; even chick pea stew had meat in it! However, there was an excellent salad counter at lunch and dinner. The quality of the food was very good.
The cafe next to the hotel had very loud music at night, too loud even with the balcony door shut and the TV on! Hotel staff said it was an ongoing problem which they had tried to sort without success. Luckily it usually stopped by 11pm.
I stayed all-inclusive and had a picnic lunch one day. It would have fed several people and was of excellent quality.More
Sea front hotel
Lovely hotel, paid Thomsons for sea view but was greeted with a massive crane and workmen building some apartments. rep said we could move to back of hotel but could be noisey, thomsons should have told us before we went. The hotel gave us some fruit and cava as a sorry but was not there fault .Rooms were lovely and staff polite and helpful, Saray in resturant was helpful and hard working and always put us on table we liked. We would return
My husband and I have just returned from an 11 night all inclusive stay at the catalonia. We were greeted with a warm smile and friendly nature by the receptionist Vanessa. First impressions were impressive. We upgraded to a balcony room as standard double /twin has no balcony. We had a lovely view overlooking the pool and gardens with Mount Tiedi and mountains in the distance. Our all inclusive package was of a good standard, plenty of food choices at the themed evening sittings for example Tex- Mex, Chinese, Indian, Mediterranean, British etc.....
A vast choice at each sitting, always fresh salads, vegetables, prepared meat and fish dishes and a grill every morning, lunch and evening where the show cook freshly prepares your choice of fish or meat.
The whole team of staff were very at-tentative, always with a friendly smile and the enthusiasm to please was consistent, a mention to Miriam and Luce who were exceptional. The animation team were very friendly and kept everyone of all ages happy and engaged.
We used the Lido several times and had two lovely days relaxing, we also ate there but could have easily returned to the hotel and had all inclusive lunch.
We also spent a day at Loro Parque and took advantage of the free shuttle which is very handy right outside the hotel.
A lovely relaxing holiday. Thank you Catalonia Las Vegas.More
