So and so
The first room we got was terrible, (in A building) dark, worn out and very nosy, both from the streets and the hallway. We could hear every single car and every single tourist walking by during the night and waked us up every single time. The room had very-very thin walls, our neighbors watched TV at 3 am and we could hear them even if the TV was not loud. We asked for a change and thanks to Elisabeth (from the reception) we got a new room looking to the sea. Elisabeth is a really, really helpful person and she is very kind! The other guys from the reception didn't speak English. We had some trouble understanding each other at check-in. From the second night on we got a better room, a refurbished one in the C building. From this moment on we had some sense of value for our money. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel (we had English breakfast nearby in a small shop for a good price) and didn't participate at any evening shows. Quite good location- the beach is 10 min walk away, you can find car hire nearby and some shops if you really need some stuff- from Chinese shops to buy some souvenirs or a hairdresser. The hotel is OK if you get a nice room. Anyway I think hotels are overrated, too much money for the service and the location- but it is Tenerife, after all. It is Ok, but I wouldn't recommend. More
Hotel Catelonia Oro Negro
This was the third time we had been here. Staff are excellent in all areas. A clean hotel. Food fresh, wide choice and plentiful. Why do you charge for water at the evening meal when it is free at breakfast? Good decor, large room with balcony. Wifi, t.v but no kettle. Our room had a poor shower. Pleasant, private pool area. Lots of space and lots of sun beds. No going down early to put your towels out - well done. Location on the top of a steep hill next to a main road but can not hear it around the pool except for passing ambulances as it is near the hospital. Lots of bars and shops. Good long walks along the prom. Excellent wheelchair access. Can hire electric scooters for people with poor mobility. We will be booking again for later in the year.More

Hotel was clean, staff were helpful and polite, food was ok, but we eat out at night anyway so not really an issue, we are going again next year, so all good really, close to main strip and beach as well, thank you More
second time staying in this hotel, lovely and clean, rooms cleaned every day, clean towels every day, food was beautiful, something for everyone. Staff very helpful and friendly, Staff behind the bar during the day were good fun, one of the ladies in particular was exceptional, ( apologies I cant remember her name), she had a laugh and good banter with everyone, I did request a pool / sea view on my booking form, I also e-mailed the hotel direct to request the same, we ended up with a road side room, but stayed in it as I do understand you aren't guaranteed any request. Only 1 minor complaint if you could call it that, there is only 1 electric socket to use and its in the bathroom? When there are 2 ladies staying in the room we do need more than 1 socket at times, part from that was lovely stay and will be returningMore
Not a bad hotel
Stayed here on the 14th Feb for 10 nights, Hotel was very nice. Food was ok, but got sick after a few days, eating the same stuff..So we ate out most nights. Staff were very friendly.. The only down fall was the cleaning of the room, sometimes they just empty the bins & made the bed..But I would go back..More
