Prague Santiago 111

Stayed in the Prague Santiago 111 in August this year 2014 , myself and two boys 16 and 15 . took few days to find our way round. The hotel supermarket was expensive but there was lots to see the weather was fab . i had requested pool view room which didt get on arrival but they said they would change us on the Tuesday but saying that I loved the room 3034 looking out the front and ended up staying there. There was no stairs to climb or anything was great having drink on the balcony looking out , also there was lovely Chinese under us that we could get take way now and then for €14. The beach was lovely just couple mins away . I would recommend the jet ski Ferrari seems expensive but was great it was only going into the second week i really enjoyed as i had found my way around by then. only thing very short staff always queuing if needed assistance with anything but yes did have lovely time hoping to book it for next year againMore

Parque Santiago 1

I have stayed in these apartments for a number of years both apartments and villas as I travel to Tenerife nearly twice a year for the last 9 years. Never had any problems with these apartments and the staff at the pool side bar couldn't have been any more helpful. The only down sight is the paying for the sun beds and it's really a family based apartments very quiet. But In the centre of everything the shopping centre amazing restaurant and bars and for the older kids the strip is just 5min walk.wouldn't book anywhere else when travelling to Tenerife More

Ellen R,

Brilliant

Just got back from santigo 3 and I must say we had an amazing time. Me my partner and daughter after reading all these reviews we was worried about booking it bit once we got there it was amazing and not half as bad as people made it out to be. The kids pool is amazing my daughter loved it and it was very safe. The big pool was sea salt we didn't like that very much and there's no entertainment that's abut gutting but overall we had an amazing time and would defo go back :-)More

xmelwx,

Apartment not as advertised

We have just returned from a nine night holiday at Parque Santiago 1. We booked a two bedroom apartment on the ground floor (number 161). On arrival mid Friday afternoon, after travelling all night , we were shocked to see that the entrance to the apartments was all dug up as apparently gas was being installed which we were not informed about. On entering the apartment the first thing we done was open the patio doors which led on to a big sunny terrace overlooking the pool which was lovely. On inspection of the apartment the following was noted: patio curtains filthy, corner suite which was dark blue filthy, kitchen filthy, we kept the cloths that we had washed everything down with. In the main bedroom ensuite there was a cupboard door hanging off and in the kitchen a spotlight hanging down, I covered the suite with two blankets from one of the bedrooms as there was no way I was sitting on it, The tv was not 42 inch as specified. The walls were blue which were shabby but in the advert were white! The fan was also filthy. The boys were hungry and we were all very tired so we went out of the complex as the pool bar shuts at 5 pm. We did not have the time to look around so we just went to the first one which was very expensive. We then went shopping when my mum rang my dad back in the UK. My dad rang the agent from the UK who sent someone round to see us. We showed her the cloths and told her all our complaints. She did offer to come and clean it! She went to get us a new fan and then came back to ask if we would like to move to a "villa" which had become vacant. (number 121). The villa was lovely, with a pool and sea view, and we decided to move, so we then had to repack and move the same night. When we got there however the kettle did not work so we had to phone the maintenance man who brought us a new one. Unfortunately the villa next door was being renovated from the Monday which was a bit disturbing for us,however it was better than all the work that was being carried out on previous apartment, They were drilling the walls etc. The only complaint I would have about the villa was the toilet brushes - they looked disgusting and a broken shelf in the fridge (egg compartment) The only complaint I would have about Parque Santiago 1 is paying for sunbeds and it is a bit too quiet for teenagers, they tended to go to Parque Santiago 3, but it did have a lovely pool. Happy hour was between 4 and 6 but a member of the bar staff was miserable which was a bit off putting. We did notice that our previous apartment was being totally renovated during the rest of our holidays so the next occupants would be happy but that is what it should have been like for us. To finish off we had underpaid by £20 which was a mistake and the daughter of the agent from the previous apartment had the cheek to come and ask for it after we had bought cleaning items, cleaned and were totally inconvienced. We were thankful to be moved to the villa and enjoyed our holiday in the end.More

AT&T Disappointed

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have stayed in for a long time. The price for self catering in park Santiago 3 is overpriced for the old fashioned, non air conditioned rooms! Upon arrival at 4pm our rooms weren't ready so granted we were given a free complimentary drink, soft drink, coffee or tea or half lager, for our hour and half wait. All the family went, requiring 3 rooms and none of them were available. We then collected our room key, and headed to our room with 3 children aged 9, 6 and 3, including a pram, 2 large holdalls, and 1 large suitcase. Our rooms were up 2 flights of stairs with no lifts. We managed to get to the room to find our so called one bedroom apartment was just a studio, and that was the same for the other 2 rooms, so back down to reception, and were given 3 new 1 bedroom apartments. This one was 5 flights of stairs with no lift access. As it was a high room the roof made the room like a sauna, with no air conditioning but only ceiling fans, which were as much use as a chocolate teapot. All the rooms had ants, no microwave, a kettle that's as old as my nana, if not older, and a decor that even my nana wouldn't even appreciate. We finally got moved again a week into the holiday, with only half a flights of stairs that was manageable with a pram, but because we were near reception you couldn't keep the doors open to cool the rooms down, as it was too noisy. Although the fans were a bit more powerful than the last room they still weren't great. We never had a warm shower, oh and not forgetting the first room the shower didn't work and only trickled ice cold water until 2 days later when they finally decided to fix it! The price of drinks is extortionate until happy hour at 5pm. The pool is saltwater, not enjoyable for the kids. We seen the pool cleaned once in our 11 night stay, the sunbeds stink, the kids club is for Dutch kids only with no entertainment other than water slides to keep your little ones entertained. If you want to have fun and keep the kids entertained with minimal effort do not go to this hotel! Also if you have a pram stipulate you require lift access!! More
