very disappointed

Just returned from our sixth visit, and may I point out I am not disappointed with the place its an amazing complex which I love to visit once or even twice a year, we booked over a year ago as always, when we arrived we were told we had to go to santiago1V , I explained how this is our hotel we love and for sentiment we always return, asked if possible to swap after two seconds told no full up, tried explaining and I'm sure that a swap could of been made seeing as we were loyal returning customers, but no look, we went to other complex and were put in possibly the worst room ever, clean etc yes, but at the side overlooking a building and fans etc from restaurant on complex, was awful, really don't believe after booking so far in advance this should happen especially after speaking to people who booked few weeks ago and were in santiago3 , we were allowed to use the pool etc thank goodness, as I would of been totally fed up, such a lovely place and can't understand why they couldn't help us , as we all know customer service is very important and I really feel very let down even after explaining how often we visit, after all that still a lovely place, clean well kept.More

Loved it soooo much! Fave place in Playa de las Americas

I have stayed at several other places in Playa del Las Americas and this was by far my favourite stay. I want in May 2014 for two weeks with my friend. I'm a 35 year old woman and have been going to Tenerife at least once a year for the past few years. Parque Santiago III has been my favourite place!! Our room was a bit dated (pink bathroom) but saw some other rooms and they were modern. Pool area is amazing... Large pool, good vibes and other residents were very friendly and lively without been noisy or intrusive. Staff were mostly polite and cleaning staff were excellent. The location is fantastic, right on the beach front and very central. They have their own supermarket right opposite and although it's a bit expensive (obviously because tourist place) it has a wide range of things. I know this review hasn't been very informative but I would recommend here to stay if you want somewhere central and relaxing yet with a fun vibe! In the first week I was there it was mainly older people but everyone we came across was really friendly and on the second week there were a few stag and hen dos and I was worried it would get rowdy but it didn't just a bit luckier but everyone remained respectful and it was quite at night times. I was in Tenerife again last month but Parque Santiago III and IV were fully booked. I went and had a look round Parque Santiago IV and think I will book in and try there next time to try it out as it seemed bit more modern than III but if I don't think it's as good as III after staying there, I will always book III for future stays in Playa de las Americas!! Book early it sells out!! More

Santia Go

Just spent a week there 8 of us including two grandchildren & loved it, for the kids the water slides at resort was superb for them & hardly came off, 3 large pools & jacuzzi again couldn't fault, plenty of sunbeds to go round, studio's basic but had what you need & ceiling fan not everybody's cup of tea but fine with us, my daughter had two bedroom apartment & was massive very impressed, food & drinks bit expensive, breakfast eat what you like for 6 euro & young kids eat for free, if you want wi-fi forget signal poor unless you stand by reception, resort based firmly in lad Americas & plenty to do, beach right outside hotel but turn left & about 200meters lovely sandy beach, a must is a visit to Siam park water rides if you like that sort of thing, weather fantastic & love Tenerife & would return, negative reviews I read before I came baffle me, enjoy.More

Fantastic Amazing hotel

Just back from what I can say is one of the most amazing Hotels I have stayed in. The staff are so friendly and Helpful and nothing is to much for them. We went there for my 30th Birthday and they had a bottle of champ with a happy birthday letter which I thought was amazing. On check in the receptionist was a lovely guy and helpful. We got room 2111 which is just an amazing room. Overlooks the beach and had two balcony which are so private and the place is so so clean and well looked after. Kitchen is well equipped and is one of the best facilities in a kitchen is self-catering I have had. The pool area is fantastic and again so so clean. Seen it been clean every morning before people use it. Lovely and relaxing area as kids have there own area. plenty of chair and umbrella plus it gets the sun all day. Bar service good and happy hour too. Gym is lovely nice and small but has what you need. Loads shops, bars and Restaurants and you wouldn't need to leave the resort for anything. I would highly recommend for family, friends and solo holiday :)More

Parque Santiago treats disability REQUIREMENTS as requests

Despite emails from us and our operator Thomas Cooke explaining that I was unable to climb steps we were given an apartment which could only be accessed via a flight of steps. We explained to the man on reception that it was impossible for me to get to the room and he replied" madam, if you cannot climb steps you should not book this property". I struggled up the steps for three nights before being moved. During this time we observed unoccupied ground floor one bedroom appartments, including the one that weere finally given. As we enjoyed the location so much and believing that the problems we had were due to a misunderstanding, we booked again for December 14. I sent an email explaining that I cannot climb steps and rely on a wheelchair and requesting a guarantee that this time we would be given an apartment without steps. The reply said that rooms are allocated on arrival and requests for particular rooms cannot be guaranteed. I don't understand this hostility towards disabled guests as Paraque has a substantial number of appartments on the ground level and numerous with access via lifts.More
