As well as a prime location, these apartments benefit from a great little café and an à la carte restaurant.
These apartments have an enviable postcode. They’re right in the heart of Playa de las Americas, so you’ve got shops, bars and restaurants at every turn. And a black-sand beach is less than a 5-minute walk away.
The curvy pool is big enough for lengths and has a children’s section attached. Food-wise, you’ve got 3 options – a pool bar, a café and a popular Italian.
Studio sleeps up to 2, with a ceiling fan, 2 single beds, bathroom, kitchenette with 2 electric rings and microwave, oven, piped music, maid service 5 times a week, towels changed 3 times and linen twice a week. Cots are available.
1-bedroom apartment sleeps up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, with a twin bedroom and sofa-bed in lounge area, a ceiling fan, bathroom, kitchenette with 2 electric rings and microwave, oven, piped music, maid service 5 times a week, towels changed 3 times and linen twice a week. Cots are available.
Recently returned from a 2 week stay at these fantastic apartments & can't wait to return. Our 2 bed apartment was on the top floor but there is a lift so no problems there. The apartment was a good size, with plenty of room for our party of 5 adults & the balcony was huge with full sun until about 5pm every day. The apartments & public area's were spotless, the cleaners never seemed to stop. The reception staff were lovely, really helpful & friendly. The pool area was very relaxing, clean & always had plenty of sunbeds whatever the time of day. Nice little pool bar, a little overpriced maybe but when all you want is a nice cold drink........Although close to the "Veronica's" strip, these apartments are very quiet with mostly couples & older family's so very little noise at night. Centrally located with shops, restaurants & bars on the doorstep. The beach is a 2 minute stroll away & you are within easy walking distance to Los Cristianos & the "Safari" shopping centre.
Would highly recommend these apartments.More

Our favourite place!
Stayed here from 15th - 29th August this year. Love these apartments! Have been 8 times now and have just booked again for Aug 2015. Still spotlessly clean, lovely friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. They are so central for everything and yet they are so peaceful at night time. More suited I think to couples than families as there are no kids clubs, entertainment etc. A great place to stay.More

Clean and Friendly, Central Location.
My husband and myself have been to Playa de las Americas a few times but not to the Colon II apartments. We would certainly go again as these are clean and spotless and staff very friendly. The apartments are centrally located so no need of a lot of walking to gain access to restaurants, shops and sea front. We stayed in a studio apartment on third floor overlooking pool. Plenty of room. Payment required for TV and safe in room but we felt it worth while. Deposit refunded on last day.More
We have just come back from Tenerife after spending two wonderful weeks there. We stayed at the Colon 2 apartments mainly based on what we had read on here and were not disappointed, the staff were very friendly and even put up with my pidgeon Spanish. The rooms were very clean, which isn't surprising as the cleaning staff work their behinds off.
The food at Mama Rosas was very good although a bit pricy but there is a lot of it and when it arrives at the table you'll think I'm not that hungry but surprisingly you are.The apartment cafe serves very good food too no surprise when their kitchen is Mama Rosas.
As you are self catering there are is a vast choice of places to eat out at a reasonable price the closest being an all you can eat chinese across the road and it knocks spots off any of the all you can eats in the UK, we kept promising the touter we would go in almost every night we passed him and in the end did (mainly to shut him up) but we were not disappointed. If you fancy a treat theres Tony Romas, and despite all the critisism on here, we were in and out within 1 1/2 hrs both times we went , we just picked the right time off day to go and not out of the normal eating hours so bear that in mind or you may have to wait to have your food cooked.
For everyday needs there is a 24 Hr supermarket across the road, handy for those arriving on later flights, a bit on the pricy side though, but if you go out the main entrance and turn right there is an Iceland 150 yards up the road and it sells everything, unlike the UK.
We visited Siam Park and was well worth the time if you are an adrenaline freak which unfortunately the wife is and I'm not really that inclined (didn't know it was brown).
We also took advantage of the twin ticket and did Loro Park too, it's a bit of a trek (1 1/2 Hrs by bus) but worth the visit only gripe is there wasn't enough time to do all you wanted.
The coastal path is worth a walk the sights as are brilliant but recommend you walk up town side first then come back via the coast path.
Met some fantastic and fascinating people pool side and in the cafe, the friendly staff do that to you, people you wouldn't say 'Hi' to at home are your best friends by the time you leave.Loved every minute.
The only down side to this hotel apartment complex is the lack of a laundry facility and if your staying for two weeks with a 15 kilo weight limit on baggage your'e going to need to do some, unless you plan spending hols with nothing on. If fact as far as I could tell there were no public laundries anywhere in Playa de las Americas (Investment option there?)
Will not be going next year as we are off to Cuba but after that Colon 2 is going to be our place of choice, several of the people we chatted to were in their fourth or fifth visit and I think that speaks volumes.
can't wait to go back.More

just returned back on the 7th of sept after two excellent weeks stay here. we were two couples and had a 2 bed apartment this was a good size for us and could not fault a thing.
the staff were all very happy and nothing was to much trouble. the pool is a good size and always very clean. the only downside which is a very small one is the price of drinks 3 euros a pint and 2.50 for a coke it didnt bother me that much as i still drank there.
just across the road is a very good little restaraunt called las rosas we ate there on 4 nights and nobody had a bad meal good quality and very cheap.
thanks we will be back in the future.More
