My family and I have been going to colon now for 10 years the rooms are always very clean and the gardens are well maintained we all look forward to going back very soon also the staff are always friendly and helpful.More
Firstly there are positives, the hotel grounds and rooms are kept spotless 24/7, Staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. The location is great if you like to be central to bars, shops and restaurants. The negatives, the heat in the room at night was almost intolerable and I found it very difficult to sleep, the fan was good for nothing and no aircon. The bed mattress may as well have been made from stone it was so hard, that is no exaggeration. The fridge would make a very very loud buzzing noise at times through the night, you would have to get up open and shut it for it to stop. Also having to pay for the use of an iron board made me annoyed. Finally I don't go on holiday for TV but the fact it didn't work finally sums up the feeling I get that a 4 star rating this hotel is rather generous.More

Everything you need, great hotel.
I stayed here with my girlfriend for a week in September. We were greeted by a very smiley receptionist who was very welcoming and helpful. We payed â¬25 for the safe and we got â¬10 back when we checked out. You can also rent the TV but after reading reviews decided it wasn't worth it.
We stayed on the third floor over looking the pool, stunning views and it was never too loud, was perfect!
The hotel has a restaurant in it called Mama Rosa which we only had breakfast from but found a restaurant across the street called Las Rosa's who do amazing full English breakfast for half the price at the hotel.
You are two mins from the beach, the bar strip lots of stuff around you, several shops around you, we found the 24hour one across the street really expensive but there is a big supermarket up the road which is super cheap!
The rooms are excellent and are spotlessly clean. The kitchen could perhaps do with an upgrade as cooking was proven difficult with the hops taking forever to cook anything so had to just use the microwave/grill instead.
The staff are all lovely to you, especially the bar staff.
The pool isn't the biggest but was never busy enough for it to be a problem and there was always sun beds available. There is also pool tables beside the pool.
The only thing That was a bit weird was the fact they didn't provide hand soap we had to buy our own, which wasn't very handy when we had a late check in. But other than that excellent hotel! More
