Colon II Apartments

As well as a prime location, these apartments benefit from a great little café and an à la carte restaurant.

These apartments have an enviable postcode. They’re right in the heart of Playa de las Americas, so you’ve got shops, bars and restaurants at every turn. And a black-sand beach is less than a 5-minute walk away.

The curvy pool is big enough for lengths and has a children’s section attached. Food-wise, you’ve got 3 options – a pool bar, a café and a popular Italian.

Lovely Hotel shame about the detail

Just returned from 10 days here - lovely apartments, well maintained and extremely clean. Great staff too. However little Wi-Fi access, no air conditioning and we had to pay for the use of the TV. Signs around the pool prohibit reserving loungers but it still happened - on one day there were 12 people poolside and I couldn't find a lounger - but throw a ball in the pool and they complain immediately. We enjoyed our stay here but attention to small details could have made it so much betterMore

3rd visit

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in colon and again not disappointed. Cleaners out all the time. They now have a lifeguard on duty 10-6 every day. Staff are really friendly and pool side food is good, slightly expensive vs going just over the road to a restaurant. Only thing is needs wifi throughout and probably ready for a bit of an update.More

Mandy H,

Lovely Apartments but too full of Thomson "scene" young adults partying till 4am ..and totally ineffectual rep

These apartments were booked via our local office for a relaxing holiday near all facilities but family friendly ,, whilst the apartments were some of the cleanest i have ever been to they were let down by the noise levels in the evening and overnight as young adults roamed the inside walkways yelling, screaming , banging doors and playing knock on everyone's door till after 4am every night/ morning, having complained to the rep on site we were told to ring 9 and speak to security .. who couldn't understand a word and never moved from his post at reception!! The rep Never offered a move after we complained 3 times at which point i insisted on filling in a complaints form which has mysteriously disappeared and not been received email wise by me as promised 4 times by him ( want me an oldie of 48 to show you how to email jake??) above all nice apartments shame about the hoards of young people partying and rolling in drunk, .. their usual day .. roll in drunk at 3-4am sleep till 9am gets up and bags sunbeds ..go back to bed till 1pm .. sleep on sunbeds till 5pm .. get up and go get food ..get ready ( including yelling , screaming once more between apartments) to go out ..having obviously tanked up on cheap alcohol before going out given the behaviours .. go out at 11 pm ..roll in at 3-4am .. start again.. Colon 2 is a lovely apart hotel but really needs to decide is it there for young partying adults or family groups as both cannot exist alongside each other without rules over noise etc being put in place and without a new security system that stops this occurring rather than ignoring it.More

Great room and great staff

Loved the Colon II. We had a studio room although we normally stay in apartments. There was plenty of space and we had a sunny balcony in the afternoon which is what we wanted. The view wasn't spectacular. We looked out of holiday bungalows, but we would rather that than look out at the side of a building. We could see across to the Santiago apartments and the sea beyond. The apartments are in an ideal spot for what we wanted. The room had a hob and a grill microwave and a fridge. No air conditioning, but the overhead fan was welcome. Overall very pleased. Sadly we had to cut short our holiday due to a bereavement, but the staff were wonderful. The receptionist printed out our new travel documents and were so kind. I felt as though I had known them longer than 8 days. We would definitely stay here again.More
