Colon II Apartments

As well as a prime location, these apartments benefit from a great little café and an à la carte restaurant.

These apartments have an enviable postcode. They’re right in the heart of Playa de las Americas, so you’ve got shops, bars and restaurants at every turn. And a black-sand beach is less than a 5-minute walk away.

The curvy pool is big enough for lengths and has a children’s section attached. Food-wise, you’ve got 3 options – a pool bar, a café and a popular Italian.

Fab holiday

We stayed here for 2 weeks to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. The check in was great with very pleasant and helpful staff. Advising us on everything. Up to the room on 2nd floor which was absolutely amazing. A lovely size bathroomwith bath and shower. Tiled walls and floors throughout. The kitchen was small with microwave oven and grill and 2 ring electric hob. Toaster and kettle. Also enough pans etc to cook in if we wanted. Bedroom had 2 single beds which were quite comfy. Lovely sofa and chair in lounge. The apartment was spotless As we're everywhere in the complex/hhotel. We had to pay for a card to watch the TV and also pay for the safe but wasn't too expensive. The cafe/bar at front of hotel was very nice too. Overall a great place to stay and great location. 3 minutes walk to the beach and a lovely restaurant right opposite serving 3 course meal for only 9.50 euros. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.More

Perfect location

We don't usually stay at las Americas as we always assumed it was rowdy .these apartments are in a perfect position and we were surprised how nice they were .the apartments are spotlessly clean and the maid service was excellent .i only have a couple of issues ..probably being picky !..and they were that there weren't any cleaning products in the kitchen ...ie washing up liquid and dishcloth ,and there was a 10 euro charge a week for the TV ! The pool area was well cleaned and there were plenty of su beds which were very comfortable ,although the early birds always got the beds at the top left of the pool as there is only one side of the pool that got sun There is free wifi in the reception area and the coffee shop outside . We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was on the 2nd floor overlooking the gardens and a walkway ,which wasn't too noisy ..we got sun most of the day ,rooms overlooking the pool don't get any sun ! We will definitely return as we had a brilliant time in this area and there were loads of eating places and bars ,great late night chippy over the road ! More

Good accommodation and pleasant staff

We spent a fortnight here on a winter sun break. The apartments and public areas are well maintained and are kept spotlessly clean. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Our studio apartment was newly decorated, although the some of the fittings were rather dated and basic, for example the chairs on the balcony were rather uncomfortable slatted wooden folding items. There was only one electrical socket in the kitchen, so we had to alternate between the kettle and toaster at breakfast! Note that you have to pay supplements to view the TV and use the safety deposit box in the apartment. The charges for a fortnight were €40 and €20 respectively, plus refundable deposits of €10 and €5 for the card and key. Free WiFi is available, but only in the foyer, not in the apartments. We requested a quiet apartment and were given one on the first floor at the back of the building, which was indeed quiet at this time of year. Note that the balconies of apartments overlooking the pool face North and are, therefore, in shade. Ours was on the opposite side, overlooking a lane and single story building, so was always warm and sunny. The pool area was cleaned thoroughly every morning and was spotless. Be prepared for an unseemly rush to put towels down and reserve the best spots for sun loungers! Food at the pool side bar was tasty and good value. Overall, we had a very pleasant break and would return.More
