As well as a prime location, these apartments benefit from a great little café and an à la carte restaurant.
These apartments have an enviable postcode. They’re right in the heart of Playa de las Americas, so you’ve got shops, bars and restaurants at every turn. And a black-sand beach is less than a 5-minute walk away.
The curvy pool is big enough for lengths and has a children’s section attached. Food-wise, you’ve got 3 options – a pool bar, a café and a popular Italian.
These 2 bedroom apartments come complete with 2 twin bedrooms and 1 extra bed for 1 adult or 2 children. There’s a kitchenette. And you’ll have a lounge and balcony for that extra bit of space. There’s also a TV.

We spent a week in the Colon II Apartments in April. We loved this hotel.
All the staff are lovely. Courteous and helpful. Genuinely enjoy looking after you.
The whole place is spotlessly clean from the public areas to the guest rooms.
The pool area is lovely. Spacious with plenty of good quality sun loungers and parasols. It is very quiet with no music blaring out and no animation team. There is just a lifeguard who makes sure there is no rowdy behaviour around the pool. No balls or inflatables are allowed in the pool. I had really lost hope that hotel pools like this existed!
The only thing that was a nuisance was the (almost totally women) smokers who feel it is OK to sit on the adjacent lounger and chain smoke all day. Absolutely horrible for the vast majority of non smokers. The hotel should think about having a separate section around the pool for smokers.
The room was spacious with a kitchenette and had everything you needed. The bed was comfortable and the TV had all the UK channels.
All the food we had, both around the pool and in the restaurant was first rate.
Within a short walk the hotel is surrounded by restaurants ranging from 10 euros for three courses to fine dining. We had a fabulous Teppanyaki meal one evening which you just can't get in the UK. The Railway Tavern across the road from the hotel was tremendous fun for after dinner drinks with free quizzes another entertainment.
We will definitely be going back.More
Colon 11 apartments
Great location, nice to have sun beds and pool area closed until 9.0am. Pity there is a charge for TV but no sky channels only sky news, also excessive charge for safe in room which is only bolted to a thin wooden shelf,Great cafe, nice restaurant but a tad expensive compared to eateries close by.Otherwise very clean and courteous staff, great check in,would stay here again.More
Very nice perfect location
We stayed here for a week very clean and rooms were standard but clean. Lovely food and excellent coffee. Perfect location cross road and down walk way to beach. Pool was lovely very clean area to. Wifi only in reception but hey who wants to sit on a phone when there is so much to do. Walk either way from hotel and there is loads to see and do. Great chip shop across the road wow. Would I stay again oh yes big thumbs upMore
Great location, clean, well-maintained, friendly helpful staff
Playas de la Americas is well constructed and maintained. Constant stream of hi-vis clad municipal workers cleaning, refuse collecting and maintaining all the lush plants. Local police patrol the area in low-key manner - the area feels safe, even late into night. Street outside hotel is one-way and traffic calmed, so safer for those slow on their feet.
Come out of the Colon 2 and the beach is five mins walk straight ahead. Turn left and you head (south) to Los Cristianos. We hired a push-bike for 9 euros each (all day) to attend the excellent market on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Or turn right and head (north) to Puerto Colon (marina area). Huge choice of amenities all within minutes walk away. Restaurants, supermarkets (we like the larger Dialprix at Parque Santiago 2 shopping area) and services (currency exchange across the road).
Special mention to Ana on reception whose English is faultless and what a friendly bubbly person! She booked us on a cross island tour (30 Euros each, all day) which she explained clearly all the details. Tour buses leave from Santander bank corner 20 yards (turn right) from hotel entrance. Associated Atlantico Tours well recommended, ask for Alfonso (guide) and Carlos (driver).
The pool is lovely (figure of 8 shape) with shallow end popular with family groups. An elevated area catches the last vestiges of the sun although the whole pool area very much in the sun all day. Life guard on duty 10am to 6pm. Despite comments about sun-bed hogging towels, we didn't have problems finding spaces arriving in the afternoon (tho we stayed mid April, hotel not choka busy). Beer at poolside a bit pricey (2.75 Euros when you can get a pint for 1 Euro on-street).
Great value, perfect weather and not too busy in mid April.More
70th Birthday with the family
These apartments are the cleanest I have ever stayed at. We had 3 apartments booked and they were all different but of a good quality. The area was suitable for all age groups. The first night there was my 70th birthday and all 10 of us dined in Mamma Rosas. The food was excellent, good value and good variety of choices. I can recommend the lobster soup. Very filling so only have a small main afterwards.
Very friendly staff who helped make our holiday that bit more special.More
