Luabay Costa Los Gigantes

This place comes with a big lagoon pool and an à la carte restaurant. It’s also got some spectacular views.

This hilltop hotel has got views of the epic Los Gigantes cliffs, as well as across the ocean to neighbouring La Gomera. It’s in a quiet spot, but it’s still less than 10 minutes’ walk to the beach.

The hotel has a trio of pools, including a big lagoon number. Elsewhere, there’s a buffet restaurant with panoramic sea views, and another à la carte option. Then there are live shows in the music hall.

Excellent hotel

A friend of mine had recommended us the Luabay Costa(Holiday Village). We stayed there 4 nights last week. Food was very tasty(try the mojo rojo and mojo verde with your fish, meat or potatoes!).The servers in the restaurants and bars were excellent! The receptionist in the Spa was very pleasant and helpful. The Spa is a good place to relax. The housekeeping ladies and front desk ladies were smiling and attentive. The photographer girl who took our pictures was very professional and nice to our baby boy. We stayed in a ocean view room(Block "E"). It was clean although a bit old.Saturday night we could here the Spanish band playing in a near by hotel until at least 2 am. That was a bit annoying. Not the hotel fault though. The complex is very big but kept clean and well maintained. Both the First choice and Luabay entertainment is accessible to all guests and both teams are just great! As canary residents who live close by,we will definitely stay there again! Thank you to all staf!Keep up the good work!More

Excellent stay, staff go above and beyond!

A wonderful stay in this hotel, staff were friendly, food was great! Loads of things for the munchkins. Would really recommend. Had a bit of an upsetting experience when my daughter lost/misplaced her toy dog, it unfortunately went off with the bed linen :( Staff really tried hard but couldn't retrieve it, unfortunately it came to the end of our holiday. But when we got back I was straight on the phones trying again. Thank god they found it and sent it back free of charge, they made my daughter very happy!! I can never thank them enough. More

Tye83,

great family holiday

we visited in high season when it is the Holiday Village Tenerife. The rooms are a good size and even though the kids were on a sofa bed it had a good mattress and was comfortable for them. The staff were welcoming and helpful ... the waiters/waitressing staff lovely if a little too keen to clear the table at times! The kids had a brilliant time at football academy and the kids clubs looked well organised although we didn't really access them. The food is the best we've experienced at an all inclusive hotel - book for the a-la-carte early in your stay or you may miss the boat, it's very popular and definitely worth a visit. The whole complex is kept clean and well maintained. Both the first choice and Luabay entertainment is accessible to all guests and both teams are lots of fun.More

Stunning hotel (on top of a very steep hill)

This hotel definitely has the WOW factor. Overall a fantastic holiday but with a few minor things. The lift from our room level to the pool/restaurant area was out of order the whole two weeks whilst there so used the staff lift which was a pain with buggy to be honest they were very small so only enough room for family of four which is fine until someone on the next level down call the lift & it opens but no room for them to get in. On a few occasions the staff lift was out of order too which meant we had to carry buggy up/down a few flights of steps. My fiancé slipped one day on the steps because a staff cleaner was mopping them but with no sign to say so! Could of been a lot worse if the baby was in his hands. There was no ATM machine in the hotel or no currency exchange at reception which was a let down to be honest because it meant we had to walk down a very steep hill into the town area to get money out. We like to get out and about on holiday so we did on about four occasions including the beach with (black sand) very choppy waves in the sea which was unsafe to go in, walked over to next village and seen the harbour area & visited parents twice in Costa Adeje which was a much busier area with lots of different shops & bars. I totally understand that these all inclusive hotels & holiday villages are designed to not leave the hotel but the beach is a must do whilst away surely? Just to warn you the hill is very very steep on way back up to hotel especially with buggy & four year old. Entertainment for children was brilliant and was the first time I left my girl in the hands of the kids club team, she loved it & was a nice break to spend some time alone with baby. There was a crèche too but I didn't want to leave my boy. Air con seemed to be a problem in main lifts in hotel & in restaurants in evening too. It was uncomfortably hot whilst trying to eat. I actually asked a waiter why was is so hot to which he said they turn air con off whilst everyone eats food but when restaurant closes they turn it back on. Very odd! Food however was brilliant with a wide variety to choose from, queues for food being cooked like steak or pasta was long but then I guess it will be in August. There wasn't much of a breeze in Tenerife at all so felt hot almost all the time. The sun seemed to get real hot between 4-7pm so a good time to catch some rays on the balcony whilst the kids were having a sleep in the afternoon. If you want to get a bed by the poolside you will need to get up early to put your towels down because it was that busy there will be no beds left by 8am if you don't. Tenerife is a fantastic place and a real home to home feel to it but with sun. I would return to Tenerife but maybe try Playa las Americas next time.More

First Choice/Thomson Holiday

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, we booked our first choice holiday through Thomson after recommendations about the holiday villages from friends and we were not disappointed with our holiday from start to finish. The hotel, food, accommodation and staff were all excellent. Even if you are travelling and just looking for a hotel I would recommend it. WiFi was also excellent, in our room and by the pool. We visited at the height of the season as well and the service was still the best I have ever had in a hotel.More
