High points at the Be Live Experience Playa la Arena include a garden setting, a first-rate pool scene, and close proximity to a volcanic beach.
Leafy, well-maintained gardens dominate the grounds of this hotel. It only takes a few minutes to walk down a path towards a black-sand beach. The centre of Playa de la Arena is a 15-minute walk away.
The décor here is really impressive. The huge, high-ceilinged lobby is draped in hanging vines and has a sweeping main staircase. Classic rooms, meanwhile, are styled in tones of terracotta and oak.

Great hotel for a cruise/stay
We spent 5 days at this hotel after a week cruising the Canaries. Outside, the hotel looks small but once inside you are greeted with an amazing spacious reception/bar area. After a quick check-in we headed to our room on the 7th floor overlooking the pool/sea. Our room had been refurbished and was spacious with 2 balconies. As we had paid for the Adult Club within our package (25 euro's per day/per person if paid locally) we also had a fully stocked fridge, sound system and bath robes/slippers. The hotel has 4 bars. One near reception, the Sports Bar, Entertainment Lounge Bar & Pool Bar. There are 3 restaurants. The main one is located on the ground floor with the pool restaurant changing into an a la Carte restaurant at night. For guests staying for 7 days you can book a la carte 3 times during your visit. (You won't be disappointed). There are 2 large pools with plenty of sunbeds and brollies with all of the daytime activities taking place in and around the heated pool nearest the hotel. The hotel is very clean but we were disturbed by the lack of hygiene gels outside of the bars/restaurants. (As per most hotels abroad). Also the outdoor dining area of the main restaurant is in-undated with pigeons jumping on the tables and eating any food left on plates. Overall the food was ok with our only complaint that it was mostly luke warm and there wasnât as much variety as we would normally expect from an All Inclusive in Tenerife. The entertainment in the Entertainment lounge was ok. Donât miss the magician. The Sports Bar also had guest singers but these were hardly promoted. Shame as these were very good. Outside of the hotel there are a couple of shops/bars with more 20/30 mins walk away. The beach is black sand and was well subscribed. Despite Red flags flying all the time we were there. The Adult club privileges included free Wi-Fi in your room & reception areas, An airport style lounge where you could help yourselves to branded drinks, a separate seating area in the main restaurant and sunbeds with padded covers in the sectioned off area by the quieter pool. (With private bar). Was it worth it? Not sure. The only plus for us was that everyone in the Adult Club section near the pool instantly became friends and helped make our short stay very enjoyable. Would have no problems recommending this hotel as its great value for the money.More

Excellent Stay and Excellent weather as a bonus
Stayed here recently for 2 weeks to incorporate my birthday. We booked the Adult Club with Jet2 Holidays and a great decision that was. Worth every penny but looking at 2018 the price appears to have increased quite a lot. Lets start with the positives - Requested a full sea view room by sending an advance email direct to the hotel. They gave us everything we asked for - Room 878. Great views and sunshine all the way into the sunset. The room itself - very spacious. Very clean and well maintained. The mini bar was stocked upon arrival and we were told we would have to pay for it to be refilled - just go into the VIP lounge, which is part of the Adult Club and refill from the fridges in there. As well as getting your bottles of water as the bars only supply them after 6pm. Just by the cup around the pool!! Food was okay but not the best we have ever had - as in previous reviews we found it to be on the warm side as opposed to the hot side. But it was mostly edible and plenty of choice. Around the pool the Adult Club again came into its own. Never a problem getting a sunbed even when outside the fenced off area they were problems as the day went on. Entertainment was good - don't miss Johnny Circus - brilliant act as well as Avatar. With the Adult Club you get premium drinks - again a good bonus as some of the normal drinks were a little dubious to say the least. Negatives - none really except the ritual of not being able to get bottles of water until 6pm from the bars but if you are happy to go into the VIP lounge then no problem. Pool towels - only can change them 3 times per week and then only between 10am to 1pm. That's okay if you are told which 3 days you can change them. No one at reception told us, but just a minor hiccup. The speciality restaurant - don't bother. Went twice and not really impressed. If you fancy a night out then go into the resort and to the Asia/Chinese restaurant opposite the beach - excellent. Overall a good holiday at a good hotel which caters for most tastes and the bonus of good weather - 37 degrees one day. The hottest March day ever recorded.!!!! Worth a try for a winter break - think it would be rather hectic in the height of Summer.More
