High points at the Be Live Experience Playa la Arena include a garden setting, a first-rate pool scene, and close proximity to a volcanic beach.
Leafy, well-maintained gardens dominate the grounds of this hotel. It only takes a few minutes to walk down a path towards a black-sand beach. The centre of Playa de la Arena is a 15-minute walk away.
The décor here is really impressive. The huge, high-ceilinged lobby is draped in hanging vines and has a sweeping main staircase. Classic rooms, meanwhile, are styled in tones of terracotta and oak.

Nice beach, hotel fine, but they need more staff. I did not like the idea of "adults club", but if you offer something like this, it can't be that there is a big area for this (empty!!!) and the families have difficulties in finding a free place/desk. The coffee was horrible. No real juice for breakfast. The staff was stressed out - they were running around trying to do their job correctly (poor folks).More

13 of us travelled to Be Live Playa La Arena for my son's 21st birthday last week and I have to advise we weren't disappointed at all. Everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed it :-) Macarena organised a special dinner on the night of his birthday and it was amazing so thank you so much. Check in was so quick, rooms were clean and spacious, food and drinks were lovely plenty of variety, the hotel and grounds were so clean and very well maintained and no problem to get a bed by the pool each day. Overall our holiday was amazing so thank you Be Live, we will back soon Emer xxMore

We came to this hotel for two weeks for my husband 65th birthday. We arrived late 11.45pm went to reception to check in very rude staff, asked if we could get water told no areas were closed.so could not get any water.Asked for assistance for a member of our party she had just had a cast off for a broken leg no help offered.I booked a superior twin room as it was a special birthday when I got to the room it overlooked a piano bar and seating area which proved to be very noisy. There was no tea making or all the little extras we had paid extra for when I contacted reception he said it's a superior room and he said he didn't care how much more we had paid for.Great start. The fridge didn't work because the socket was hanging off the wall with bare wires.Wardrobe shelf broken.I had to pay 52euros to hire a kettle.I found the reception staff very rude I feel if I had spoken French I would have got a better reaction. If we went to reception most of the time we were ignored or made to wait even if we were the only people there.i asked if I could purchase a cake for my husbands birthday response not possible what should have been a special holiday turned out to be one off the worst.Ive been going away for 17years with our party of six and never have I had to complain. We were recommended to come to this hotel well sorry it's one of the worst hotels we have been to.Its a hotel for the French not the British holiday makers. One plus was the food was ok and the pool areas.Would defiantly not recommend this hotel to anyone. It's the first time in 17yrs that I couldn't wait to go home.More
Upon return of our holiday and stay at Playa La Arena we really did have the most amazing time. The hotel was everything that as a couple we needed. The staff are very friendly and are always happy to assist from the reception, restaurant, shop, bar etc. The hotel is kept very clean and the hotel staff work hard to make sure it is kept as such. There was always availability by the pool and even though people did put their towels down for certain spots, come 9am there was always beds available. The pools are divided, 1 for swimming and dipping and the other for kids, games and inflatables - I believe this is just common knowledge that you soon learn on arrival. We loved all the different nationalities and never had any issues with other guests. Other reviews suggest there was a divide on their experience with French guests however we did not find this and found everyone to be very pleasant. Our room was overlooking the pool which was lovely and very quiet in the evenings when we slept. We did sometimes hear the entertainment however this was only a couple of times but what do you expect.....your on holiday!! The room was clean, basic but met all our needs. I would have no hesitation in returning. More
