Thanks to its lively pool and long list of activities, the Tryp Tenerife Princesa Dacil is a big hit with families. The location goes down well, too - the beach and town centre are nearby.
The Tryp Tenerife Princesa Dacil, formely known as the Sol Princesa Dacil, is in a really convenient location. The hotel is less than a five-minute walk from Los Cristianos Beach and less than ten minutes from the heart of town and all its shops, bars and restaurants. What’s more, the airport is only 17 miles away, so you won’t have a long transfer.
There’s a packed list of activities available at the hotel, too. In the busiest summer months, you can get in a giant inflatable ball and try water zorbing on top of the swimming pool - that's if you're not sunbathing around it. Alternatively, head to the tennis courts or play a game of minigolf.
On the food front, the restaurant serves generous buffets at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The spreads include everything from steaks and fish to salads and pastas. There’s also a snack bar if you get hungry between meals.

Not bad but don't eat the food
My self my wife and our daughter recently returned from here from a 7 night stay. Apon arrival we were handed a glass of bubbly, check in was quick and we soon headed to our room. We paid a little extra for a see view which I was looking forward to see. But we were greeted by a lovely car park view. A quick trip down to reception and this was soon put right. Our room was a good size and for the price I was very happy with it. However there is no AC at this hotel so it got pretty hot in there at night. The pool was a first stop it was quite nice but if you want a sun lounger then best get up very very early. We were there half board and this is where the hotel starts to go down hill. Breakfast was the same every day and the food was poor and often we didn't fell great after we had eaten. Dinner was even worse again often pretty much the same stuff. And it really was like school canteen food. Also don't forget your drinks when you do to dinner as you can't even get a glass of water. There was a sports bar that never opened and a play park that's really needs a lick of paint. If your looking for a reasonably priced room only place to stay this is a good option just don't eat hereMore
Yet another good stay
As a family we have recently returned from yet another good stay in the Princesa Dacil, this is the 5th time we have been to this hotel and after reading other reviews and comments about the hotel and I utterly disgusted by some comments, the hotel is value for money and I do not know what some people expect, firstly the rooms are spacious, have basic essentials for a room that you would only get ready and sleep in as I do not know why people would go on holiday if they spent the whole time in the hotel room, the rooms are cleaned everyday and you receive new towels if you follow the right procedures which is clearly stated to you. The restaurant offers a variety of different choices for each meal, they provide food to fit all so if you cannot find anything to eat then I'm afraid you are extremely fussy and should go out for meals or cook your own. The pool area is cleaned every morning, there are two different pools, a large pool and also a baby pool, there are sunbed available to everyone and although you have to pay If you want extra cushions, there is a pool bar which is the all inclusive area which offer all sorts of drinks and snacks all day round, round the pool area there is always a lot of different activities going on for adults and also children which most people get involved in especially the water aerobics which is absolutely brilliant and the pool is usually filled with all different ages joining in and having fun while exercising to music that we all know which the entertainment team. At night in the hotel there are all different performances each night, firstly there being a mini disco for the children followed by a performance. The entertainment team are brilliant and again this year Jordi is still there and yet again he made the whole poolside roar with laughter at some of the stunts he pulled, they are truly the most friendly people you will meet and very good with everyone which makes the day even more enjoyable. The surrounding of the hotel are really quite as there is not any clubs or bars surrounding it which makes it easy to sleep at night, the hotel is a short walk from the sea front which has a lots of different bars and restaurants and is also a short walk from the stunning Las Vistas beach which have lots of activities going on in the sea e.g jet skiing, peddle boats which are available to all at a price which is reasonable.More
Worth a stay
Just returned from a 7 night stay at Tryp Princessa Dacil. We were a little apprehensive with some of the reviews but for the price we paid I think it's really good value for money. Stayed b&b as all inclusive isn't really for us and there are some wonderful places to eat and drink in Los Cristianos. The hotel itself does look very 70s from the outside but once inside the reception area and staff are lovely. Glass of bubbly to welcome you and a really quick check in. We had a one bedroomed appt on the 4th floor it was really roomy with a ceiling fan in the bedroom could do with air con but the fan was enough at night as it does cool down. The pool area is fine, yes it's busy and can get noisy but people are on holiday what do you expect. Obviously can't comment on the all inclusive side but always seemed to be plenty of chips and hot dogs around lol. Our son is 14 and loved the pool and there is a nice sun terrace off the first floor where it's quieter and you can still keep an eye on the pool. This was our first time in Los Cristianos we found it to be a lovely resort and the Princessa Dacil is a good base if we go back to this resort we would stay there again without hesitation More

If you are staying half board in this hotel here is a few words of advice.. don't do it! On arrival the staff seemed confused that we had booked 2 rooms and even though we were a joint party of 5 we were placed on floors 8 and 11 which was inconvenient for a group travelling together. This told me there had been a mistake with our booking. To confirm my previous thoughts, myself and my friend who were placed on the 8th floor entered our room to be greeted by a message to a Mr & Mrs who were spending their wedding anniversary there and a plate of mouldy fruit that smelt terrible in the heat. I am guessing the previous guests had left the fizzy wine and fruit as there is no fridge provided unless you want to spend 75 euros for the week. The cleaners obviously hadn't cleaned from the last guests and the fruit remained in our room for 2 days before we placed it in the hallway as the smell was getting worse! There was no where we could of disposed of it unless we took it down to reception which would of been embarrassing. We felt like all we had paid for was a bed as nothing else seemed to be included and everything was an extra cost. I even had to pay 25 euros to use a hairdryer for the week. 10 euros was returned to me on the last day as it was a deposit but was again annoying as I had 10 euros sitting behind reception that I could of been using outside of the hotel towards something. Being "Half Board" we had breakfast and dinner included which could be changed to lunch if we let them know. The buffet had a fair selection of choice and we were never unwell from the food which was a bonus. But we were incredibly irritated as we were not allowed a drink with our dinner. Not even water was included.. for a hotel that doesn't have Air Con we just wanted to quench our thirst in the heat! Water is 2 euros 50 for a small bottle and you cannot pay with cash (same size bottle 25cents at the shop down the road). You can either leave your bank details (no thanks) or have a tab which is a minimum of 50 euros. We did not feel the need to give anymore money to this hotel, although staff were pushing for us to upgrade 70 euros each for all inclusive to get the drink at dinner. Only on our last day we thought we would give the pool a go.. big mistake too! To secure a place at the pool, guests queue from 7:30am by the back door with about 3-5 towels each and then are released into the pool area at 8am and run to the sun beds where there were a few confrontations between people. We had also been told that a child had poo'ed in the pool by accident on the previous day but the pool hadn't been cleaned. That is not acceptable, especially with so many young ones running around too. Yoga and Spin class were set up where the staff had announced please join us in relaxation until they blasted this drum and bass music for the spin class which was so loud you couldn't hear yourselves speak. The whole pool had turned to look towards the class. On top of that, we had one parasol between 5 of us which was taken away by staff to use for a shop that was set up outside. Don't get me wrong everyone has different taste and different experiences, this just happened to be ours! Hopefully if you have booked, your stay is more successful!More

Good value for money
We had a weeks holiday in early July. Our room was on the 15th floor, it was large and we had some sort of aircon and hairdryer. They said they had upgraded us. The beds are hard but did this did not worry me. The hotel is well placed not far from the sea front. The food is very good for an all inclusive establishment of this level. They should try to sort out the sunbed and towel situation. We did manage to normally get a sunbed when we wanted one but it should have been easy as many were empty of any person for long periods of time.More
