Classy place with room for improvement
This is the third Vincci we have stayed in overall it has been a lovely stay with a few caveats. Check in was very good and we were taken to our room in a golf buggy. For this reason you don't get much of a clue finding your way around once you are on your own. It will take a few days to find your way round. The room, a garden villa on the ground floor was quite nice although it could and should be more private. Anyone looking down from the accommodation above can see through the matting above the jacuzzi, so hope you enjoyed the view! There are sun beds to relax on and these are private. Unfortunately, our villa looked out to the sea which was nice but also over a building sight, so I suggest anyone wanting a garden villa check on what to expect prior to arrival. Comfortable bed, large bathroom and quality toiletries. All kept very clean throughout our stay. There are 5 pools, one of them oblong shaped, heated and adults only. The other heated pool can be full of screaming kids when busy. The two pools lower down are not heated. They should be heated and made adults only. As usual, obligatory sun bed reservations go on every day. The pool attendants are meant to ensure this doesn't happen, but it does. The people who do this are peasants and should stick to 2* holidays in Benidorm, it should not and does not need to happen in a so called 5* hotel. Breakfast is quite good with plenty of choice but lacks presentation. Anyone with mobility problems no matter how small needs to consider a few things before choosing this hotel. If you want a garden villa, you will have to deal with steep steps. To go from this accommodation to the pool area and eating and drinking establishments, you will have to deal with steep steps. I suggest you stay in the main hotel where there are lifts. The hills around the hotel are steep. Taxis are cheap, use them. Costa Adeje is up market, a great holiday destination with lots of choice to eat and drink so well worth a visit. Choose carefully who you fly with as it's a 4 1/2 flight! Finally, all the staff in this hotel are fabulous. Too many to name but deserve every credit. More

More 4* than 5
Me and my husband stayed here between 4 and 11 March. We arrived a little early and were given a complementary drink as well as some Cava whilst we waited for our room to be ready which was a really nice touch. The positives of the hotel were the pools - there were several pools with a heated adults only one with several beds round them. Most of the time, there were double beds available which was great for relaxing but if not there were plenty of sunloungers. The bedrooms were very large, the shower was amazing and the bed large and comfortable as well (not to singles pushed together). The evening housekeeping was great - the maid is an asset to the hotel. The breakfast selection was vast and in the most part was great, however, the fruit could of been fresher/of better quality and the cooked eggs also looked poor. In terms of the negatives, some people may not like that is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the location of the hotel is a bit of a hassle. It is located on top of a hill and we would recommend that if you are elderly or have any physical disabilities that you do not stay here as we are both relatively young and fit but by the end of the week we could barely take it. We can't comment on the entertainment, bars or restaurants as we did not use them. The main negative for us was having dirty towels a couple of days and the morning housekeeping losing my husbands shorts which were lost when they changed the bed. Receiving dirty towels twice was very disappointing as it looked like there was dried blood or worse on them. We complained and tried to follow this up on three occasions but the customer service was extremely poor, with staff having the attitude that it "wasn't their problem" and there was nothing that they could do. We also complained on returning home and received an apology and that they would make it up to us on our return, however, we will not be returning based on this and the other negatives In short, we would recommend choosing a hotel nearer the beach as you won't have the walk up the hill. There was a shuttle down to the beach, however, it only ran twice a day.More
Nearly 5 stars
We stayed for a week at the end of February. An elegant hotel with lovely staff. Pool areas very well done and the heated pool was perfect for a February swim. We were upgraded to a suite and felt spoilt. We have stayed at a Vinncci hotel in Malaga and like their style. Our minor niggles were: improve breakfast both food and presentation very dark room, move to the lovely terrace in the sun by the Canarian restaurant, add a walkway from the pool area down to the road by the promenade to cut out the hill, heat the bottom 2 outdoor pools, improve bar culture, lovely bars why were they empty? Finally great to have the pool bar open for dinner but it needs a less formal menu and atmosphere for drinks or gins before strolling out for dinner.More
Elegant, luxurious, restful AND friendly!
I visited with my two teenagers - I needed a good rest prior to returning home for back surgery. There was an initial mix-up with our rooms but the manager rectified this with no fuss and great kindness. We went on to have THE MOST relaxing and happy time at the Vincci. The staff bent over to make sure that we were happy, comfortable and well-looked after. Front desk staff were so courteous and knowledgeable and assisted with our unforgettable trip to the volcano with Jose of StarExcursions (see separate review). Our rooms were amazing - and meticulously clean. They were spacious and very well appointed - lovely touches like the coffee machine and high-end toiletries. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the ambience in all the public areas was really lovely. Though it was February, the kids swam in both the heated and un-heated pools. The walk down into town was really easy and enjoyable. This is a hotel we hope to return to many many times in the future. Just wonderful!More

Fabulous Hotel, staff and food
Fantastic hotel, from the delightful fragrances everywhere, very pleasant, friendly staff and sumptuous breakfast. For those that complained of the walk uphill, yes it was a bit of a hike each day, but well worth it for the peace and quiet away from the tourist areas. I knew it was there, so no complaints from me! Very comfortable, spacious rooms with great beds. Wifi everywhere - even the grounds. Back to that breakfast - Wow! Every kind of food you could wish for and all fresh. So much choice you could potentially sit there all morning and gorge! (Tempting!) Only down-side for me was the lack of anything to do in the evenings - though we found plenty of places to go, just down the hill :-) Disappointed that the Jazz Club wasn't open at all.More
