Me and my partner stayed here over the Easter bank holiday weekend. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely man at reception (gutted I have forgotten his name), who efficiently but thoroughly explained the services on offer with the 'Gold band excellence service'. We were then handed a glass of cava and a tablet to use at our leisure whilst staying at the hotel. We had a room on the top floor which was the 9th and had a room that was sea view (sort of). The room was actually a great view of the city and you could see the sea a bit. The room itself was standard but very clean so could not complain came with kettle and a coffee machine that uses the fancy coffee pods :) The maid service was EXCELLENT fresh towels twice a day and they didn't continuously bang on your door when we were having a lay in. The only thing disappointing and slightly frustrating about the room was the shower, it was big and clean however the water pressure and temperature was diabolical. The temperature gauge had no effect whatsoever on the temperature of the water, it was also, for the majority of the time, a little trickle of water which was dissapinting as it looked like a modern shower with a waterfall spout. This may just be due to the fact that we were on the 9th floor however. The all inclusive hotel had a main dining hall and one restaurant. Both were very clean and bright, with white interior. The restaurant I believe is by reservation only, but with the 'Gold band excellence service' you are able to go there every night of your stay. If you prefer to go a la carte rather than the usual all inclusive buffet then I would highly recommend booking and reserving your table as soon as you check in as we were only able to get a table on our last night. I had their signature croquettes for my starter, not a fan :/ and my partner had deep fried cheese which he said was decent. BEEF SKEWERS WE'RE AMAZING and we both thoroughly enjoyed our main. Chocolate fondue with fruit was delicious too. The all inclusive buffet was huge with lots of selection but still just standard all inclusive buffet standard. With the excellence service you were able to have branded liquor instead of the cheaper drinks they usually give, all included in the price. AND with the same generous amount ;) Another great service offered with the gold band was the ability to RESERVE your sun loungers everyday. We opted to reserve them and got our loungers everyday without any hassle, except on the last day, when a couple decided to put up shop on our loungers, if this happens just remember YOU PAID FOR THIS SERVICE. We simply popped to reception and told them the issue, we went out for an our and when we came back voilaaa our loungers were free again. The beach is a 5 minute walk away maybe 10 minutes at mid afternoon due to the heat. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants as soon as you step outside the hotel so great location. The 'Animation team' were fantastic! Just the right amount of enthusiasm without being annoying. The quiz nights were very good and I have to say the 'Flamenco passion' night was EPIC. Without exaggerating it was like a broadway standard dance show. The costumes and flamenco dancing were beautiful. Definitely one evening of entertainment NOT to be missed. As we were leaving we noticed the hotel across the road was about to start some HUGE renovations which would most definitely cause some disturbances whilst sitting round the pool and if your room is pool view so something to enquire about before booking. (April bank holiday weekend) Also the infinity pool was beautiful but better if it had been heated also would be nice to have music speakers upstairs by this pool.More
Despite this being a hotel for the older generation, my girlfriend (17) and I (18) had an absolutely brilliant time at the hotel. The evening entertainment was great and through the day there was plenty of opportunities to get involved. The food at the hotel was amazing and every breakfast, lunch and dinner I found myself trying something new, and alongside the wonderful waiting staff, every meal was exceptional. With this being my first time going all inclusive, the unlimited access to the snack bar, soft drinks, fruit juice and, of course, alcoholic beverages was astonishing. The room was cleaned every day to the standard it was when we first arrived, however, the shower did spill out onto the floor very easily. We had a reasonable view of the sea from our balcony and the morning sun shone on to us every morning. Overall, staying at the Hovima Hotel in Costa Adeje was a truly magnificent experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay.More
Second visit - and we'll be back!
My mum and I returned to the hotel this year. Once again the hotel was spotless, the staff were amazing and our room was fantastic. We chose to upgrade this year and were given a stunning junior suite. The food available was excellent, so many options every night for dinner. The entertainment in the evening was always a hoot. The staff were wonderful, so friendly. Special mentions to Pablo behind the bar, Felix at the dining area, Miki and all of the animation team. The maid cleaning out room did a great job every day and even left me some books to read when I couldn't face the heat outside! The reception were great also. We spent one afternoon in the spa, which I would recommend. We used the spa facilities (Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna) and booked back massages - so relaxing! The animation are so much fun. They provide a great atmosphere around the pool with some silly games or aqua aerobics, plus chitchat. Last year we had a standard room but this year decided to upgrade, this meant we had some perks like reserved loungers and branded alcohol from the bar as well as some nice extras in the rooms. I'd say it was worth it! The hotels location is great, you can take a short walk to get to the market and various other things in nearby locations. We will totally be back!More

Not a 4 Star as advertised.
This Hotel was nice but would not say it is a 4 star as advertised on the internet and in the Travel Shops. We were there in February 2017 and were put in a room at the back of the hotel overlooking a wall, room was quite small, I think because we were at the back of the hotel the shape altered the room size, room was cleaned everyday to a very high standard and towels etc changed daily. Restaurants: Food was not the best to be honest, very repetitive,as the clientel seemed a little older we had a roast and 3 veg everyday, not what you want on a holiday, no waiter/waitress service to tables apart from clearing, there was a very rude morning chef who on three occasions shouted at me across the restaurant to move to the other side as it was all the same and eggs at the back (Which were more well done) were the same as the front?? Err I paid for my holiday so i'll choose what eggs I eat and what queue I go in! Annoyed is not the word, very RUDE member of staff, this needs addressing. Sunbeds were quite plentyful but this hotel was not full so would not like to be getting a bed later in the season! Regular visitors (And there seemed to be a lot of them) seemed to know where to get beds and what time to get up to get them. Work was being carried out whilst we were there, still saws going on for about 5 days, dust flying everywhere, glad I had a bed by the heart shaped pool and not at the top in the executive area. Entertainment: Ok and that is all I can say, most nights we went out, not too bad during the day but as I said ok so don't rely on it. Transfers to and from the airport were horendoues so if you can afford it get a taxi!More
Was not disappointed
Just returned from a very pleasant weeks stay at this fine hotel. As an avid TA I always check before I book and was really pleased that all the positive reviews were accurate. It is in an excellent location with friendly professional staff. With 3 pools and importantly plentiful comfortable sunbeds it is ideal for a relaxing break. Food was excellent with plenty of choice and very attentive waiters and bar staff. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage space. A enthusiastic but professional entertainment team help guests enjoy themselves and the evening shows are some of the best we have seen. A great week in the sun and we will return sometime soon.More
